She maybe survived the blast, the fire, and EMP shockwave but I guarantee you she didn't live after that much radiation exposure
My grandfather had the same thing happen to him as that WWII soldier, except the bullet didn’t exit from the top and instead zipped around the inner wall of the helmet without injuring him. He kept the bullet as a lucky charm and gave it to me when he passed. Coolest item I own.
Yeah I'll have to disagree about the woman who survived the blast.. radiation poisoning is not a lucky break.

Meredith Robert’s lived from 1913 to 1994. He grew up in a world where electricity was rare, cars were rarer and lived to see the atomic age, the space age and the Internet age….what a life.

That 30yo tech sergeant makes me think of how lucky my grandfather was. 20yo, was at Normandy with that sergeant on the bloody beach, and six months later lived through the frozen hell of the Battle of the Bulge. 😖💕

My uncle that just passed away last week was on the USS Coral Sea, the carrier that sent the rescue crew to the pilot. I wish I would've seen this video in time to have to shown him that picture.
