Malaysia's Johor Immigration Department in an operation at the Gelang Patar Night Market arrested 7 foreign beggars, some of whom were Indonesian citizens. The joint operation was a joint operation between the Immigration Department, Johor Baru Social Welfare Department and the Johor Islamic Religious Department. Johor Immigration Department Director Baharudin Tahir said the foreign beggars were arrested. because they used donations to fund religious schools which actually did not exist. Some of
them earned RM 300 per day, equivalent to Rp. 998,000 and RM 10,000, equivalent to Rp. 33,000,000 per month.
