Menlo Park: Good evening, and welcome to the March eleventh, 2024. Meeting of the Menlo Park Planning Commission established by State law. The Commission is composed of 7 volunteer voting age residents appointed to 4 year terms by the City Council. The Planning Commission is not a policy setting body. That's the City Council. The Planning Commission is a policy implementing body, and we review development proposals on public and private lands Menlo Park: for compliance with our city's general pl
an and zoning ordinance which can be found on the city's web site. Menlo Park: The Commission reviews all development proposals requiring a use permit architectural control variants, minor subdivision and environmental review. Associated with these projects. The Commission is the final decision making body for these applications unless appealed to the City Council. The Commission also serves as a recommending body to the City Council for major subdivisions. Rezoning conditional development permi
ts, zoning ordinance amendments. Menlo Park: general planned amendments and the environmental reviews Menlo Park: below market rate housing agreements associated with those projects. We work closely with Menlo Park: staff in our cities, planning division which is responsible for coordinating enforcement of the zoning ordinance and related policies. Thank you for joining this evening. We encourage your participation. Whether you are an applicant or member of the public, there will be an opportuni
ty to speak publicly during general public comment as well as for each agenda. Item, our clerk this evening, Ms. Beacon. Menlo Park: can you explain how members of the public can participate during these public comment periods. Thank you. Chair Doo, regarding procedures for tonight's meeting, for those presenting on an item on tonight's agenda. We kindly ask that you turn on your microphone and webcam during your presentation for your item. Menlo Park: During the public comment period, members o
f the public will have an opportunity to share their comments or questions by clicking on the hand, icon on your screen, upon which Staff will introduce you and activate your microphone alternatively for those calling into tonight's meeting. Please press Star 9 on your keypad to notify Staff that you have a comment for any members of the public who are sharing a zoom account or phone line with another commenter, during this meeting. Menlo Park: please inform Staff at the start of your public com
ment, and staff will ensure that the other commenter speaks after you've finished your comment. If you are participating in person, please fill out a comment card and bring it to the clerk. With that, said I. Hand it back to you, Trudeau. Menlo Park: Thank you, Miss Beacon. This meeting is called to order. Menlo Park: We'll move to Roll call. Commissioner Barnes Menlo Park: present. Good evening, Commissioner Eric Schmidt, present Commissioner Ferrick. Here Commissioner Riggs, present Menlo Park
: Vice Chair, Schindler. Menlo Park: present Commissioner Silversey. Present. I am Chair DOE. I am also present. It makes 7 of us present tonight. Menlo Park: For C. Reports and announcements, Mr. Prada. Menlo Park: Yes, thank you. Good evening, Chair DOE and members of the Commission. So one report from Staff tomorrow evening, March twelfth, the City Council will be holding its annual goal setting workshop. So that will start at 5 PM. Tomorrow evening. So I encourage any members of the communit
y listening, if you're interested to attend, is where the Council discusses and identifies its goals or priorities for this calendar year. Menlo Park: And so that concludes my reports, announcements, happy to answer any questions. Menlo Park: Thank you. Any questions for Mr. Parada. Menlo Park: Do you know how long that planning setting session usually takes? Menlo Park: So it's a couple of hours. Typically so you know, it's hard to gauge exactly how long it will take. It does start a little ear
ly tomorrow evening. Normal Council regular meeting starts at 6. This will start 5, probably 3 to 4 h will be a rough estimate. But once again, rough estimate and can't be guaranteed. Menlo Park: All right. Thank you for that. D public comment Menlo Park: under public comment. The public may address the Commission on any subject not listed on the agenda. Each speaker may address the Commission once under public comment for a limit of 3 min. You are not required to provide your name or city of re
sidence, but it is helpful. Menlo Park: The Commission cannot act on items not listed on the agenda, and therefore the Commission cannot respond to non agenda issues brought up under public comment other than to provide general information. Miss Beagan. Menlo Park: I think you chair do. At this time I can begin the public comment period, if you'd like. Menlo Park: please. Okay. Menlo Park: as of right now. I do not see any hands raised, and have not received any comment. Cards, but we can give i
t a minute to see if any come in. Sure. Thank you. Menlo Park: How about now? Menlo Park: Trudeau? I can confirm that no public comments have been submitted. Menlo Park: Okay, so we'll go ahead and close public comment, and that brings us to the consent. Calendar. Menlo Park: So I'm going to turn it back to you, Miss Beacon, to open public comment for the consent. Calendar. Menlo Park: Thank you. Chair doo. As a reminder under public comment each speaker may address the planning commission onc
e for a element of 3 min. Menlo Park: You are not required to provide your name or city of residence, but it is helpful Menlo Park: if you are participating via zoom, please click the raised hand button at the bottom of your screen. If you're calling in, please press Star 9 on your phone, and if you have multiple speakers on the same account, please let us know at the beginning of your comment, and we will make sure each speaker has an opportunity to speak for 3 min. Menlo Park: If you are parti
cipating in person. Please fill out a comment card and bring it to me. Menlo Park: And as of right now, have not received any comments Menlo Park: either in person or and I don't see any hands in zoom. Menlo Park: Okay, I think Menlo Park: maybe the people had enough time to consider if they wanted to comment on the consent calendar while you were giving that explanation. So if there's no hands. Menlo Park: go ahead and close public comment on the consent calendar. Menlo Park: no, no hands raise
d. Ms. Vegan, I can confirm that no hands have been raised. Okay, so I'll bring it back to the Commission to ask if any commissioners would like to make a motion or pull an item for discussion. Menlo Park: Yes, thank you. I won't be voting on the December 18 min from last year, so we might want to handle those separately. Menlo Park: Okay, sure. So we'll vote on those separately. Then. Thank you. Commissioner Riggs. Menlo Park: Any Commissioner Byron? Yeah. And my request is similar. I'm not Men
lo Park: entirely sure if you're planning on running all 3 at once, or you're gonna break them up individually. I have to abstain on the first 2. So if you wanna call for a vote on each one individually, it'd be helpful for me. Thank you. Menlo Park: Thank you. I think with the feedback from Commissioner Barnes and Riggs, we'll vote on each item separately. Then, okay, any other Menlo Park: questions or comments. Okay, great. Yes. Vice Chair, Schindler. Thank you. Chair, do. I just have one clar
ification based on exchange with staff, and I think it's beneficial to raise this in light of of newer members of the Commission. I think there are 2 levels of synthesis that are represented in in the meeting notes from the 3 different, distinctly different meetings. Menlo Park: And, Mr. Parada, can you just comment on the the process. Menlo Park: For differentiating what gets each level of of synthesis? Menlo Park: Sure. So through the chair, if I may. Menlo Park: typical meeting minutes are wh
at Staff calls the action minutes. Those are the kind of higher level summary minutes. Those are consistent with the city Council's minutes. So that that's what Staff prepares for, I would say the majority, 99%. If you want 2 of the minutes for the meeting. Menlo Park: where we have more detailed minutes which show up in the consent items, especially for specifically for December eighteenth, is for the Er or environmental impact report or any other Ceqa California Environmental Quality Act. Publ
ic hearing. So er scoping sessions which we held on the eighteenth. Menlo Park: also Eir public hearings. Those we prepare a transcript from a court reporter. When we prepare a transcript due to the size of the project. We also have our minutes prepare also. Prepare more summary minutes. They're the long-form minutes. That kind of go through the study session item that's associated with the public hearing at that point. So for those specific items, we prepare more in-depth minutes. Menlo Park: O
therwise they're the action summary Action minutes, which are very high, level summary. Menlo Park: Thank you. And so with that, I'm prepared to let's see, did you want to? We're going to break them up into individual motions. So I think. Then maybe a first motion Menlo Park: to approve Menlo Park: chronologically, chronologically. December eighteenth. Menlo Park: Yes, E. One e. One. Yes, first from Vice Chair Schindler. Would anyone like to Commissioner Ferry. Second. All right, we'll go ahead
and vote with first from Vice Chair, Schindler, second from Commissioner Menlo Park: Ferrick. Commissioner Barnes. Thank you. I was absent for that meeting I shall abstain. Thank you. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric. Yes, Commissioner Farrick. Yes, Commissioner Riggs, Epstein. Menlo Park: Feistyr Schindler. Yes. Commissioner Silverstein, I abstain. and I am a yes. Menlo Park: counting on my fingers. That makes 4 yeses and 3 abstentions. The motion passes all right. E. 2 is the January eighth minut
es. Menlo Park: Would anyone like to make a motion to Menlo Park: approve. E. 2. I'll move to approve. Thank you, Commissioner Riggs. A first from Commissioner Riggs. Second, thank you, Commissioner Farrick, and no questions or issues. We'll go ahead and vote Commissioner Barnes. Thank you. I was absent for this as well. Aisha abstain Commissioner Eric. Yes, Commissioner Ferrick. Yes, Commissioner Riggs. Yes, vice chair. Schindler. Yes. Menlo Park: Commissioner Silverstein, I abstain as well. I
am a yes, that's 5 yeses, and Menlo Park: to abstentions the motion passes. Menlo Park: and that brings us to our last set of item on the consent. Calendar E. 3, the February fifth minutes. Menlo Park: Commissioner Ferrick. Oh, I'll move to approve the February the fifth minute. fifth fifth. Menlo Park: Thank you, Commissioner Eric. Second. Thank you. Menlo Park: So we'll go ahead and vote Commissioner Barnes. Yes. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric. Yes, Commissioner Farrick. Yes, Commissioner Riggs
. Yes, Vice Chair Schindler. Yes, and Commissioner silversing yes. Menlo Park: 7 yeses, and the motion passes. Menlo Park: Close the consent calendar, and move to the F public hearing. Menlo Park: F. One is a use permit for 5 5 0 Kenwa drive. Menlo Park: consider and adopt a resolution to approve a use, permit to construct first story additions and interior alterations to an existing nonconforming one-story single family residence located in the R. One U. Single family, urban residential zoning
district. Menlo Park: The proposed work would exceed 75% of the replacement value of the existing nonconforming structure in a twelve-month period determine this action is categorically exempt under ceqa guidelines. Section 1, 5, 3, 0 one s. Class one. Exemption for existing facilities. Menlo Park: This item was continued from the meeting of February 2620, 24, Menlo Park: and I believe, Mr. Menlo Park: Oakleichner, are there any updates? And I believe that the Menlo Park: applicant will be also
making some remarks as well. Good evening, Commissioners. There are no additional updates that I can provide, or that I need to provide. The applicant is participating online and is available to answer any questions. Should you have them? Menlo Park: Ok, great? And did the applicant want to make any verbal remarks, or is just available for answering questions just available for questions. Ok, great. Thank you. Any clarifying questions before we take public comment. Menlo Park: Commissioner Riggs
. Menlo Park: Yes, I have a comment through the chair. It's really a request from Staff. I've made a similar request before. Menlo Park: but perhaps this staff report is Menlo Park: more indicative of the issue. The Menlo Park: the first page of the Staff Report actually doesn't have the address of the project on it Menlo Park: for the last year, or approximately one has had to read through the text in order to find the address of the project. Menlo Park: and it's old fashioned, I'm sure, but Me
nlo Park: I think it would be only appropriate to have a prominent title to any staff report. Menlo Park: It need not say item F. One, but it certainly does need to say 5 50 Kenwood drive in the upper quarter of the report, and I'd I'd like to make that request. Menlo Park: Thank you. Thank you, Commissioner Ricks. Menlo Park: Any other questions or comments, clarifying questions. Menlo Park: No, okay, we'll go ahead and take public comment on this item. Please, Miss Beacon. Menlo Park: thank yo
u. Cheer. Do. At this time I have not received any comment. Cards, and do not see any hands raised on line, but we can give it a minute to see if any come in. Sure, thank you. Menlo Park: How about now, Chair, do? I can confirm that no hands have been raised, and I have not received any comment. Cards? Ok, great, thank you. So we'll bring it back to the Commission for Menlo Park: discussion comments, questions, and ultimately emotion. Menlo Park: Would anyone like to start Menlo Park: Mr. Riggs?
Menlo Park: It seems like a quite straightforward application, and Menlo Park: not wanting to forestall anyone's comments. But I will move to approve. Menlo Park: Thank you first from Commissioner Riggs. Commissioner Ferrick. I'll second Menlo Park: thank you. Menlo Park: again not to preclude if anybody would like to make comments. But I agree with Commissioner Rakes, so there's no comments. We'll go ahead and vote Commissioner Menlo Park: Barnes. Menlo Park: Yes. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric
. Yes, Commissioner Ferrick. Yes, Commissioner Riggs. Yes, Vice Chair, Schindler. Yes, and Commissioner Silverstein. Yes, I am also a yes, that's 7 yeses, and the motion passes Menlo Park: our second item Menlo Park: under the public hearing section to night is F. 2. It's a use. Permit revision for 1, 1, 3 Princeton road. Consider and adopt a resolution to approve a use, permit revision to add a new second story. Menlo Park: Excuse me, new second floor area on the south, east, right side by encl
osing the existing balcony on a 2 storey single family residence on a substantial lot with regard to Lot with in the R. One U. Single family, urban residential zoning district. Menlo Park: The applicant is also proposing a garage conversion to an accessory dwelling unit. Adu on a separate permit which is a permitted use determined. This action is categorically exempt under ceqa guidelines. Section 1, 5, 3, 0 one's class, one. Exemption for existing facilities. This item was also continued from t
he meeting of February 2620, 24 ms. Beagan. Menlo Park: Thank you. Chair DOE. Okay. Menlo Park: thanks. So I do not have any updates for the project. But the applicant is available to make a presentation for the project. Menlo Park: Okay? But first, if the property owners please would like to speak. Menlo Park: said, Okay, okay, thanks. Menlo Park: Great. Thank you. Menlo Park: I'm not sure if I should do this, it went so well. Maybe I should just go away, and I mean you can let me know now. We'
re always happy to hear your comments, and you're very kind. So Hi! My name is Mike Hochberg. I'm here with my wife Ann, who helped me prepare some remarks on this we very much appreciate your consideration of our plans to remodel our home Menlo Park: just like a minute or 2. Introduce our project, and then have our architect, Fatima Sakib, take you through the details of a little bit more of this, and of course we're happy to answer any questions along the way, and that kind of thing. Okay? All
right. Menlo Park: So some background. We have lived in the Bay area for about 28 years now, including a couple of years over in the willows, then in Sunnyvale and in Los Altos Menlo Park: we raised 2 sons along the way, and moved to our home in Allied arts in 2,018 to begin the empty nest retirement phase of our lives. Yay. Menlo Park: we really lucked out. Not only did we find a lovely house and property that really fit our needs and aesthetics. But we found a vibrant and very caring neighbor
hood community. It is not an exaggeration to say the move to Menlo Park saved my life. That's a story for another time, but true, just to know that our street is filled with amazing people, and we hope 1 1, 3 Princeton Road is our forever home. Menlo Park: While we were really happy here, we felt there was just one more thing that would make our home even better. Anne is an artist, and we wanted to. We want to make a dedicated space for her work instead of just using the laundry room or the kitc
hen patent kitchen counter. So the main goal for our remodel is to transform a second floor patio into an art studio. Menlo Park: Of course, once you start thinking about doing one little thing in a remodel. It snowballs. And so we're doing a bunch of other things, too, which are mainly about making the the place just a little bit closer to what we're doing. But none of these changes affect the footprint of the house, and Fatima, architect has been wonderful throughout, preserving the the charmi
ng look and feel of the house, both inside and out, because we really love it. Menlo Park: We have watched a lot of recordings of past commission meetings, and notice that the main concerns are often brought up by neighbors and involve privacy. I think we're in a really good place here. Menlo Park: We've been in communication with all our neighbors, and no one has expressed any kinds of concerns, and, in fact, most of them are enthusiastic for for doing this, including the people on the right si
de of the house, who are closest to all the work and to the new room. And they're very enthusiastic. Menlo Park: And I think, actually, from a privacy perspective. It's probably more private we're enclosing. An outdoor patio, which was completely open. Now there'll be walls, so it it shouldn't be that so, anyway, I hope it's a very simple kind of decision, and I will let Fatima take, you know. Take you through some of the technical things. So thanks very much. Menlo Park: Thank you. Fatima Saqib
: May I start, Christine? Oh, yes, I'm sorry. Okay, go ahead. Thank you. Oh. Fatima Saqib: and I can't see the drawing. So Fatima Saqib: is that something you were going to put up Fatima Saqib: perfect. Thank you. Thank you to the Commissioners for having us here today. Fatima Saqib: I'll just expand on Mike's presentation a little bit in case Fatima Saqib: you need any clarifications. This is a revision to use permit that was issued in 2,006, when the original owners added a second story to the
substandard blot. Fatima Saqib: and as Mike mentioned, Fatima Saqib: Christine, if you don't mind going to the next slide. Menlo Park: Yes, sir. Fatima Saqib: okay, next again. Sorry when we get to that Fatima Saqib: existing second floor plan. Fatima Saqib: Here we go. Fatima Saqib: So in the bottom, right Fatima Saqib: corner of this home you will see, there is an existing Fatima Saqib: oops on the second floor here you'll see there's an existing office with a balcony attached. It's that balc
ony there that we will be in closing, expanding the office to Fatima Saqib: make one large art studio Fatima Saqib: next. And if we can go to the elevations. Fatima Saqib: this is the roof plan that we are just going to extend. Fatima Saqib: So yes, here. Fatima Saqib: if you can go. Sorry back to the rear elevation. Fatima Saqib: There we go Fatima Saqib: on the top drawing. You'll see, this is the existing elevation, where we've dashed in the removal of the Fatima Saqib: patio wall and a slidi
ng door. and then below, you'll see we've just enclosed extended the roof line, so Fatima Saqib: Keep kept their Fatima Saqib: roof also at the first floor, and just replacing it with Fatima Saqib: of Fatima Saqib: a set of windows that is standard Fatima Saqib: design throughout the house. and then the next. if you can go to the right elevation. Fatima Saqib: Yes, this one, if you'll see on the top again, we are removing another set of double sliding doors. Fatima Saqib: removing the patio wall
and expanding the wall, and again adding another set of windows that matches the existing Fatima Saqib: of the home. So we've maintained the roof line. It's a very subtle Fatima Saqib: change on the exterior, or mostly on the side and the rear Fatima Saqib: And really, that's it. That's that's the the project. Menlo Park: Great. Thank you. Any clarifying questions before we take public comment. Menlo Park: I have a clarifying question, probably for staff. Menlo Park: sure, please, and this is a
question just through my own naivete. But it seems like this project Menlo Park: is conforming on everything except for the lot width and worth a lot width Menlo Park: at least 65 feet. Is it my understanding that this would not have had to come to the planning commission? Menlo Park: Sorry if I may through the chair. Menlo Park: so the the lot is a substandard lot in regards to with Menlo Park: and is, am I just? Am I reading it correctly that if Menlo Park: the lot were just 65 feet instead o
f 60, then we wouldn't need a planning. We wouldn't need a permit. And and that's the that's like the one thing that is nonconforming, am I? Is that correct? Menlo Park: Yeah. So that is correct. But it had a previous use permit for So this is the use. Permit revision Menlo Park: for the addition. Okay, thank you. Menlo Park: Great. Thank you, Commissioner Silverstein. Mr. Hopklechner, let's go ahead and take public comment for this item, please. Menlo Park: just as a reminder. If you are partic
ipating on line, you can raise your hand. If you're calling in via phone, you need to click Star 9 on your keypad to notify Staff that you have a comment. If you're in the gallery you can bring a comment card up to me Menlo Park: at the moment. I don't see any hands Menlo Park: raised online, and I don't have any comment. Cards from the gallery. Cherdoteau. Menlo Park: Give it a quick moment. Menlo Park: How about now, Sarah Hansen. Still no hands, and I don't have any cards from the gallery. Ok
. We'll go ahead and close public comment then, and bring it back to the Commission Menlo Park: Commissioner Ferrick. Menlo Park: Thank you. I'll start with a comment. I just wanna appreciate our the applicant's description and the architects. II agree it actually does create more privacy. I appreciate that the height of the building didn't change too. It's, it seems, you know, very, very reasonable, and I hope you have a very successful Menlo Park: art studio, so I would like to make a motion t
o approve this per the staff report. Thank you. Thank you. First from Commissioner Ferrick, and a second from Commissioner Silverstein. Menlo Park: Any other Menlo Park: comments? Vice Chair. Schindler. Thank you. Chair DOE I do have one just clarifying question for staff. There's a reference in the staff report to the conditions of the original use permit from 2,000 not having been fulfilled ahead of the building permit being issued, could you clarify how the review process is different today t
han it is, was then the answer is not specific to this particular Menlo Park: item, but I'd like to know how the process has improved so that we don't have similar issues occurring today. Menlo Park: So I'll I'll take that question on behalf of Staff. so Menlo Park: we can't speak to how the initial Menlo Park: conditions were not fulfilled through the building permit process. Menlo Park: In general, our process hasn't changed much. Certainly. Errors do happen between planning commission action
and building permit implementation where conditions Menlo Park: sometimes slip through the cracks if you will. I think we have a really good handle today on that through our ocello system. So that's our land management. Permit tracking system Menlo Park: where everything is much more visually, there it has work flows that do kind of prompt, more directly to ensure that conditions are met. So I think from a implementation standpoint, we've improved with the use of technology, but also just with M
enlo Park: kind of better processes in terms of our routing, our reviews, our documentation of sign off through our old land management or record keeping system, and our newer one that we use today. So I think we can't speak to roughly 2,000 era. What occurred? But mistakes do occur, and this permit, with all the work that's being done just by the nature of the project would remedy that. Menlo Park: Thank you for that clarification, and thank you to the applicant for going through the additional
hoops of addressing historical issues. I'm sure that was not pleasant to discover, and created additional work for all involved parties to remedy. Menlo Park: That's it. Thank you. Chair Joe. Thanks. Vice chair. All right. We have a first and second on the table. So if there's not further discussion, Commissioner Barnes. Yes, thank you. My 2 cents on this project. Menlo Park: I love this 1945 vintage era house. I think it's a it's a lovely, lovely house, and Princeton is such a wonderful street
. You're obviously within development standards. This is increasing the functionality of your Menlo Park: home residents. Couldn't be happier to vote for this and thank you to the architect for walking us through that. So with that I'm prepared to to vote. Thank you. Menlo Park: Great! Thank you. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric. Yes. Menlo Park: I'm sorry. Oh, wait, are we? Are we? I thought you had a comment. You're today. Okay? Well, I had a few more comments. As well make sure everyone got it o
ut. Now we're voting Commissioner Barnes. So now that I have the mic, I could talk all night until they cut me off. But I will vote in the affirmative for this project. Thank you. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric. Yes, Commissioner Ferrick. Yes, Commissioner Riggs. Yes, Vice Chair, Schindler. Yes, Commissioner Silversain. Yes, I am also a yes, that 7 yeses. The motion passes, enjoy your studio and other modifications. Menlo Park: Thank you. Menlo Park: All right. So with that we close the public he
aring portion of our meeting and move to G informational items, Mister Prata. Menlo Park: Yes, thank you. So the next planning commission meeting is scheduled for March 20 fifth, we're currently tracking 2 single family home use permits for that meeting, as well as 2 Development Agreement annual reviews for the projects at 500, Elimino Real, the Middle Plaza Menlo Park: Project, and then 1,300 El Camino Real, the Springline Project. So those would be the annual reviews for those development agre
ements, and I will note for the record that in the near future. Likely in April we will likely have multiple development agreement annual reviews for the Meta campuses in the Bayfra timing to be determined. But April May timeframe for the annual review there. Menlo Park: and that concludes my reports and announcements. Menlo Park: Thank you any questions. Menlo Park: Commissioner Eric. Menlo Park: I don't have a question but just to note on the March agenda. I think there's a use permit applicat
ion for 108, Blackburn, or at least that's what the notice I received today said, and I will be recusing myself from that item because I live across the street. Menlo Park: Yes, there Menlo Park: staff. If we have not reached out to all commissioners, we will be reaching out regarding possible conflicts of interest for projects, including 100 and Blackburn, which we're aware of a few potential conflicts. So thank you for bringing that to the tension of the Broader Commission. We're also aware th
at other commissioners may be within close proximity there. Menlo Park: and that Menlo Park: any other further questions. Menlo Park: Sorry. Yeah, I was just previewing. That's it. No, that's great. Actually, I'll just add, I am going to be absent for those 2 upcoming meetings which I know. Thank you, Mr. Prada, for acknowledging that. So, thank you. Vice Chair Schindler in advance. Menlo Park: Commissioner Barrett. Well, on the threat of having to miss, I'm likely to miss next week, or the 20
fifth as well. Menlo Park: I say likely, because it was supposed to be tonight. But Menlo Park: it's the 20 fifth. thank you. Menlo Park: Any other comments or questions to staff or upcoming Menlo Park: absences, etc. Menlo Park: Yes, Commissioner Riggs. Menlo Park: Mr. Prada, I don't know if you are able to track this, or whether it's just up to the whim of Council. But when do the terms of 2 commission members end next month? Yes, the 2 expiring terms are the end of April. So April thirtieth.
Menlo Park: And the Council is, that's a good reminder. I should have made this announcement earlier. The Council is currently actively recruiting for all upcoming vacancies or opening positions, I should say, as well as any current vacancies on all advisory bodies and the planning commission. And so the plan would be to have a new member for each of those expiring terms appointed before the first meeting in May. Menlo Park: So there would be a seamless transition, but certainly do want to recog
nize the service of Commissioners Barnes and Rigs at this moment, but we'll do it again later, closer to the last meeting, for both of those commissioners. Menlo Park: Thank you. Menlo Park: Yes, thank you. Anything else. If not, this meeting is adjourned. Thank you.
