[Music] in K12 education what an opportunity we have to blur the lines with higher education and also what's happening in with career options in our state and here at Martinsville High School they are doing exactly that and they're helping students to explore and engage with a variety of careers down we want kids to figure out what they're interested in and not interested in when it's in a safe environment and it's not taking up your adult time and your adult money I haven't done anything like t
his I just got thrown at it and I like I picked it up really quick when you do all this you're setting yourself up for your like future job over and over as students were actively learning actively engaging with careers the leaders here would point to various equipment and say that was purchased by uh a state Grant or that was was purchased by uh the stem dollars with an investment of approximately $350,000 in additional grant money um and then about $125,000 pocket of Sesser money we have compl
etely realigned stem in Martinsville schools and we have vertically aligned in every STEM related graduation pathway all the way down to kindergarten the taxpayers put a lot of money into our school system it's the largest single budget item by far in the state of Indiana and when you take a look at the programs that Martinville is pushing right now it's a good investment and the kids are really getting a lot out what a cool opportunity to uh visit the schools in Martinsville with Senator bray t
o actually point out here's where our Indiana dollars are going and here's how um we're maximizing learning and opportunities for [Music] kids
