Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif starrer, directed in direction of Sriram Raghavan - 'Merry Christmas' has been released on January 12. The movie is based on the French novel 'Le Monte-Charge' on which a film with the same name was made in 1962 as well. So this movie is just a remake whose climax only is different than the original. For now, ignoring this fact in its review, let's talk about its positives. The biggest plus point of the movie is Vijay Sethupathi's acting, his witty dialogues and
amazing comic timing. The second plus point is Katrina Kaif, who surprisingly this time impresses with her limited acting skills. I found the climax scene especially innovative, where without dialogue, only through opera like BGM and expressions of the actors, you understand every unsaid conversation and emotions. Now, the only negative point of this movie which overshadowed the entire movie and that is the pace of this movie, especially its first half due to which despite good acting, the movi
e is not able to keep you engaged. In the second half, the movie tries to pick up the pace but by then the audience has lost interest. Apart from this, the movie The screenplay is not as tight as Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun or Johnny Gaddar. Hence there is no excitement even after knowing the suspense element of the movie. So if you want to enjoy a movie in the theater this weekend, then this is certainly not that movie. Only for the sake of Vijay Sethupathi's acting, please watch this movie whe
never it releases on Netflix.
