Mini Travel/Vlogging tripod - Sirui AM-223L tripod review

The Sirui AM-223L tripod is super compact and the small size and light weight makes it great for vlogging and travel. So if you are looking for a compact travel tripod or a vlogging tripod this Sirui travel tripod is worth considering. We did tripod tests to show you how it performs. While the AT10 video head might not be the best of them out there, check out some of the kits and see if anything catches your eye: SIRUI Sirui AM223L (US): Sirui AM-223L +AT10 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3RA71Hv Sirui AM-223 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3Tx34Gb Sirui AM-223L +VA-5 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/4ayOmo8 Sirui AM223L ➡︎ https://amzn.to/41wrG3M SL-100 (Extension Tube) ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3GUVw8G SIRUI Sirui AM223L (EU): Sirui AM-223L +AT10 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3NEV1DE Sirui AM-223 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/41wKvnA Sirui AM-223L +VA-5 ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3tjYZux Sirui AM223L ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3ttM0GA SL-100 (Extension Tube) ➡︎ https://amzn.to/3TzHEsc 🎯 Want to grow on YouTube? vidIQ can help you grow your audience faster on YouTube and beyond. This tripod is in the size and weight of a water bottle which makes it very portable and easy to create content with, while on the go. My name is Mikus and in this video I'll be showing you what this very portable tripod the Sirui AM 223 L has to offer. So this tripod is made out of carbon fiber which makes it quite light. Weighting in at 620 grams without the video head and about 900 grams with it. When folded this tripod is 23 cm without the video head. This makes it very portable and you coul
d put this in your back pack easily and it wouldn't take up much space. It is quite small. The max height you can extend it to is 36.2 cm without the video head and the video head adds about 7 cm. So it would work well as a table tripod if you were doing Vlogs or Talking Heads like this or getting low angle shots. The minimum height of the tripod is 8 cm so you can get a macro shot close to the ground. It also has a ball adjustment system so you can tilt it about 15° either direction. This can b
e used to level out a shot on a non-level terrain so it is straightened or get a small tilt to get closer to the subject. The legs are similar to The Traveler X where you can twist the legs, extend them and then lock them, but it is a different mechanism. You can change the angle of the tripod legs with these latches, so you can get different angles. The tripod also has rubber feet which  can be also swapped out for spiked ones. The max weight that the tripod can hold is 5 kg which is more than
enough for most camera setups. Though, it will not be that stable if fully extended or with a longer lens because of the small footprint. So the kit that I have came with the AT-10 video head which is made out of hollowed out aluminum to make it lighter. It has a quick release plate so you can easily remove and attach the camera setup. For the panning test I used a Sony a74 with a 28 to 70 mm lens and a mattbox. And here are the results. I wasn't able to get a fluid movement but I thought maybe
the setup is too heavy for the video head. So we also tried using a lighter setup. We used the Fujifilm xt3 with a 23 mm lens and at first it was quite hard to get a smooth shot too. But it was really windy and we couldn't get a good handle on it. So we also tried it in a less windy area and we were able to get the smoothness that we wanted. We found out that the best way to pan is to hold it by the base of the rotation mechanism and adjust the resistance and speed with your finger movement. Or
if panning is not that important for you you could also just get a ball head. I got my tripod with the AT-10 video head and a carrying bag, but there are also different kits out there. You can get it with no head or with a ball head. There is also a center column you can purchase separately to increase the height of the tripod. I will leave the links for these in the description. Sirui has another portable travel tripod - Traveler X, which is a great option. If you want to see my thoughts about
this tripod then watch this video next. All right, I will see you in the next one! Ciao!
