[Music] [Music] I'd like to see you guys try it so please no  booing just support your fans your Fighters if you do boo we'll point you out if it happens  twice the bouncers will ask you to leave we don't really want that to happen to anybody do  we do we thank you second things as I'm sure you noticed on the door we have some lovely  guys going around with raffle tickets there are some wonderful prizes such as a PT in Muay  Thai with one of the coaches at the local gym Legions a pair of boxing
gloves and one of our  personalized fight shirts they'll be going around at the interval be sure to get yourselves a  raffle tick and what was the last thing oh yeah without further Ado let us begin  with our first fight of the evening a K1 bout in the blue Corner fighting out of the  University of Kent Canterbury it's Anita Hawkins [Music] I [Music] me e and now her opponent in the  Red Corner fighting out of the [Music] [Applause] University [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] retion [Music]
[Music] you [Music] my [Music] en [Music] l [Music] my en my [Music] [Music] en crazy [Music] [Music] girls he C e girl you [Music] say [Music] to hi guys welcome to MMA Fight Night York  University 2024 you're joined today by Evan and yasan who are going to be your commentators  for this evening we're just waiting on um one of our fighters to finish up Vaseline in at  the minute and we're going to get the first fight underway yeah it looks to be a slight  earring issue but that can be resolved
within a few minutes there's no worries about that  we'll have it going very shortly exactly and the first fight we're going to be taking place  is a kickboxing K1 bout between Anita and Lyra Anita's haing out of uh the University of Kent  Canterbury and Lyra out of the University of York now I must say Yad I'm really excited for the fights personally this evening  I cannot wait I cannot wait for [Applause] [Music] this hello this will be a KW out  formed of three two-minute [Music] rounds now
this is very tiring  striking if you've never done it before such a tiring sport that's a fact it's very  true especially in a fighting that first agressive good shots early from both Fighters good there from and a good check from  the Le kick nice side kick okay Pita these guys are very happy to throw  kicks from any range and they're doing to the cage good trip sorry [Applause]  lra straight back in still swinging good front kick good catch in the kick  by and and manages to get this [Music] t
rip ooh another [Applause] there don't know  if yeah it's going to be ruled and knocked down by the referee and we're back back into  the action aggressive start from both of them both certainly forward yeah Lyra Lyra seems to  be walking and needs to down at the minute and they are both exchanging equally but you know as  we both know yasan the space in the cage is very important and being the aggressor being on the  front foot and and keeping your opponent again backed up against the cage give
s them less  options limits their options and gives you more offensive options having a clinch situation  now break in some good body kicks being thrown as we know with the K one point system we're going  to want a lot of body kicks and leg kicks score very highly there by Lara full aggression both  of them most certainly clearly have put the work in the stamina [Applause] Department yeah as  we know the fight Camp's been been grueling for everybody and everyone's putting lots of work  to get to
the position they're in today yeah wow okay good stiff jab by Anita oh and that is the  end of round one in incredible work from both women now there was a couple couple moments in  that fight in that first round um Lyra obviously getting a knockdown against her and Anita  getting um tripped I think a couple times um so it's going to be an interesting one on  the scorecards both both Fighters Landing some good good shots in that round body kicks lots of  good punches to the Head good combinatio
ns from both of them I must say I'm very impressed  um another another Factor as well is in K1 um aggression is scored uh quite highly so  a aggression does very much matter in this um in this type of fight the more hits you can  score the more points you gain and if you don't get The Knockout you'll still win the entirety  of the round and then you win the whole match exactly and we're back we're back starting  to get into round two into round two again three two minute rounds EV yeah very it
doesn't sound like much but it takes a lot much it certainly does take a lot you and  you're going at the pace these guys are going at ohita starts with a nice T and because it  is a six-minute fight that's why these guys are throwing like they incred that was a great  trip was that was that a straight I don't know if that was a trip at a threep or if it was a  bit of a slip but if it was intentional it was very efficiently done by lra therec she's now  backing Anita up against the cage but Anit
a's Landing some good shots off of the fence here  good knee from that was a good knee as we know we can't clinch much um in K1 so Landing that  quick knee and then exiting is always a good idea need to catch in the body kick there o and  then returns another trip by Anita back up for quick that was a good left hook to the chin oh  Lyra is getting hit here in the head quite a bit I think lra needs to establish her jab more  stay in her range I think lra is getting tired you can see she's breathi
ng from the mouth she's  starting breathe heavy this is what she needs to do she needs to stay in her face and not give  Anita the opportunity to keep her on her back foot some good body shots here and some good  hooks from Anita but I'd like to see a little bit more defense with those 16 o gloves as well  it's it's tiring going this long certainly is you feel like you're hitting with a pillow sometimes  they're big gloves that's for sure and you have to work a lot harder to do the same amount o
f  damage nice spinning back fist there by some good Knees by Lyra as well Lyra has been chipping  at the body and if she can keep capitalizing off of that oh okay KN seems to stun the nice body  hook o and a nice right handing in a incredible returned by n though o good switch South for  and a stiff jab by Lyra there she seems to be having a lot of success with their straight  punches I think she needs to start working some of those more because she does have the reach  advantage back to the ba
sics it basic that was round two folks round two in the books again a  difficult one to score lots of action going on in this fight even between them I I personally  could tell you who's winning Evan yeah I don't think I could either to be fair luckily that's  not our job that's the job of our great judges that are there this evening to help us if you've  never fought them being in the corner that you're still having such an adrenaline time you don't  even hear what your coach is say saying to y
ou sometimes especially for your first fight I  know if you remember your first fight but I can hear I thought last year first fight yeah  such an adrenaline rush it's very difficult to remember what your corner said to you you kind of  just it's a bit of a fever dream really um when it's the first time and I can imagine that that's  what these guys are going through now and they're doing very well to get back up get back in there  and finish off this fight right last the third round let's see i
f any of them can get the Finish  six minutes in the books and another three to go oh incredible jab by Lara to start o oh that  was a good jab by L as well oh and a good right hand she's putting on the pressure with these  punches letting those shots go with the punches Anita's dropping a hands a bit I'd like to see  keep her hands up a bit more incredible right hand by L these right hands are just punching through  her def certainly are yes exactly that's it just need to keep them coming Anita
is now putting  up the pressure B being able to land some nice o and a return nice left hand straight by Anita  nice body kick by Lyra oh that's a left hand by Anita that seems to hurt Lyra slightly yeah but  Lyra straight back pressing up Anita to the cage looking for a c situation Anita back to off with  a couple one one two good T by lra T the turn but miss o and a nice right hook on the exit make this  fight dirty a bit of dirty kickbox in after the exit of a clinch is got what's going to w
in you  this for these fights both these Fighters still fighting with complete heart look at this  last round they're all putting their all in most certainly they they haven't really slowed  the pace they've kept going right to the very end here it's incredible really oh good W KN that  was a great combination there by a beautiful knee again I think this damage to the body earlier  in the fight is doing her some justice now but Anita is not out of this fight coming straight  back in with a big j
ab and then a left hand as well she wants to land that big left overhand  and a nice knee from Anita and then blocks L's knee this is anybody's fight yes this is anybody's  fight you're right oh good leg kick you could hear that connection [Applause] [Music] there both  fights see slow down the pace yeah o caught the kick get swept and then caught with the right  hand of the way down and there you go there we have it folks that is the end of our first fight  of the evening folks run or course fo
r our first Fighters honestly they are incredible yeah man  that was great Pace great thatuh I I thought it was incredible there was moments in the fight  where both Fighters were up um few knockdowns a few sweeps few trips and they kept swinging to  the very end you can't really ask for much more the first fight of the evening can you yeah well  that's pretty action packed isn't it it's what you want from a fight throwing combos left right and  Center most certainly and we're just going to be w
aiting on the judge's decision well done to these  Fighters for stepping in the cage do you guys think you know who won say it in the comments yeah  yeah prct in the comments why not predictions in the comments yeah I could not tell you he won that  honestly it was very close yeah there was such a comeback for both of them they both really had  like 30 let's give it up once again for our first Fighters after three rounds the  judges have come to a decision your winner by unanimous decision  in t
he blue Corner Anita [Applause] [Applause] Hawkins before our next fight I just want to say  a massive thank you to everybody that's turned up we know it's the weekend after the  semester's finished and lots of people have gone home but we really appreciate everyone  who's made it and we're looking forward to hearing a great atmosphere for the rest  of the evening you've started it off well thank you anyway next fight this  one is also a K1 bout in the blue Corner fighting out of the University
of York it's Jus [Music] [Applause] [Music] G [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] go and his opponents in the Red Corner  also fighting out of the University of [Music] York it's Dan C [Applause] [Music] Patrick [Applause] [Music] [Applause] CR come  on come [Music] [Applause] 0:23:58.440,1193:02:47.295 [Music] [Music] [Applause] on so you're now joined by Toby NY and Dylan  sh nice to meet you nice to meet you guys so now we've got Dan and J is fighting in a K1  fight what's your predictions Dyl
an oh is a difficult one to call you know you've see you  see these guys fight all the time at training oh strong start from Jess as he's coming out strong  start Dan's throwing hard looking at these guys not look like it's going to a decision I agree  strong boxing from jessus nice left hook from Dan jessus is coming out with everything  already Dan use he's using his boxing base you know he goes he goes to boxing as well as  MMA classes Dan you going to want to think he's going to use his hand
s more than his feet  I'm just hoping both Fighters don't empty out the tank quite early into the round got two  more rounds of this there's there's quite a big chance that they have an adrenaline dump they're  coming out very strong here nice right hand from Dan both Fighters Orthodox compared to the  last fight where larra was the Orthodox and Anita was the sou stfe jab from Dan  high kick attempt from Jess's but blocked Jess is pressuring forwards quite a lot oh on the now see it's a bit of a
chess match here they  they has periods there they're fighting very hard and then they stopped for a few  seconds just to collect themselves I agree both Fighters are trying to read each  other really well yeah exactly this is what I mean they know each other very well there's  obviously being an internal fight these guys know how each other fight oh strong hands  from Dan he's got Jess's against fence 30 seconds left in there we go St  from the oh Spinning Wheel kick attempt from Jess's lovely
wasn't far off was blocked by see Dan really preferring to use his hands  here jessus using his he's got Taw base you know he's he's throwing some wheel kicks nice  leg kick there from Jess's and again he looks tired though he's struggling to keep his hands  up going to want to think these guys going to enjoy this break here that countering Jess's  job with really good Hogs yeah it's true he's reading him and and he's slipping off and comes  with a hog yeah Jess's obviously preferring the kick
s a lot more so uh Dan's trying to get in  close in range try and land his punches using his boxing base but honestly could be a 50/50  that round very even for both of them yeah I agree what do you think both Corners are telling  the fighters right now though oh so so you can see there so Ed he's he's telling Dan fake the  kicks he's telling to use his hips he's trying to get him to bait jessis into trying to block  a leg kick so then Dan can get in range and use his boxing and then for jessus
I think more  importantly he just needs to collect himself I think he used a lot of energy in that first  round so I think for him he's just trying to get his breath back see Dan look it he's ready  to go back out Jess's his hands are down he's heavy breathing out of his mouth and think Dan is  in better shape for the second round than jesses is got bit of a spillage in the cage I think we are now entering round two should be interesting and here we go oh strong start from Dan using his range ge
tting in  oh nice left hook there landed the absolutely winging kicks and punches at  each other high intensity in this fight Jess is doing really well closing the distance  to get in close Dan oh nice right hand there from Dan see you see J when he throws  his kicks he leaves his his guard quite open it's allowing Dan to capitalize on them  and then land some punches really nice stuff nice leg kick there from Dan just  chipping away and chipping at the body there nice work this has been a very
technical  fight so far it has and also just the work ethic from both Fighters is just immense you  know obviously it just it's tiring work this especially the adrenaline dump coming  from the first round the fact that they're still going at it this hard is impressive  both Fighters are caring themselves very well jessis is getting tired the output  is slowing quite a lot nice inside leg kick there from Dan oh nice goes High Jess  is rocked down there as well with the head kick that's it nice ag
ainst the fence  stiff jab to the body there from Dan if Jess can keep Dan on the cage then he  can utilize his boxing combinations and really put some press pressure on him  yeah I think the the the success at the minute is coming from Dan's boxing more than  anything yeah but I think both of them are tired here we go back to the chess match leaping tep there from  Dan and into boxing range they go oh Jess's got rocked there [Music] and  that's the end of the round great round from them absolut
ely yeah close five very close  close it's difficult to tell obviously Dan's having more success with the boxing but  it could really go either way currently I agree see some replays there some just high  intensity from both of them nice kick there from jessus as well beautiful combination  yeah see Ed telling Dan to his right hand setting it up with the jab and obviously  look jessus has sat down compared to Dan who stood you can tell who's more tired here  right you tell he's been doing the hi
ll Sprints well Dan's been chilling at DNA  MMA actually getting himself ready yeah he's been training externally as well just give him the extra Edge he thinks and look he  looks just more fresh coming out here as well well that's thanks to DUS  and into the final round we go last and final round high kick attempt from  Dan there and a t from Jess's see these these boys are just swinging the whole time great  fight they want to empty everything in this final round they're leaving everything  ca
ge oh some nice boxing here from Dan jessus is tired he can't he doesn't  like this all nice uppercut there and the left hand beautiful stuff from Dan  he's switching stance quite a lot as well both of them trading punches  inside the pocket stiff jaob there from Dan Jess is there slipping Landing his right  hand oh he went for his spin there but down beat what was he going for spinning heel  or spinning back yeah he was beat to it though by Daniel landed a nice inside  leg kick to stop the spin
50 seconds left just beautiful output from  both of them really know giving the crowd a good performance here  don't think anyone can complain about the outcome [Applause] oh  Jess going for a knee just missed though what on Earth are the crowd chanting  that's what I want to know the crowd God knows how many drinks they've had it's only the  second fight but they're already not making sense both of them again trading inside the pocket  I think he gets to a point that you just get two tight to
throw the kicks they just 10 seconds  left oh nice there from Jess's Dan pushing him back it's just so even both of them just it is  going after it lovely I'm Tor between who's won that F so who who would you say there [Applause]  Toby honestly I I don't know I don't know I think if it was up to me if I was judging it I would  probably give the edge to Dan I think he had more success with the boxing but I would say J had more  success with the boxing he was him really well the cage he had he had
some heavy pressure I think he  had more success with his kicks but I think Dan using his boxing base probably just edged it for  me he was countering quite a lot of the kicks with some punches um but genuinely coin flip I think  it could go either way well we're about to find out after another hard for  three rounds the judges have made a decision your winner by you now  animous decision in the Red Corner danco [Applause] [Music] [Applause] p up next we have another K guest in  the blue Corner
fighting out of H University it's Alex saavor o [Applause]  [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I need I'm like a I'm a cre and his opponents in the Red Corner fighting out of the University of [Music] York it's  Joshua [Music] [Applause] Perry [Applause] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] J right they're going straight into this Josh  fighting out the Red Corner and alexavier fighting out the blue Corner some strong front  kicks early from alexavier Full aggression from both Fighters a
nd a nice knee there from  Josh these guys are fighting aggressive nice skiing side kick there interesting  alexavier alexavier has got some nice head movement good leg kick there by Josh  Al really really looks like a karate backgrounded fighter he does with that bouncing  style and the side kicks he he he skips forward with these teeths and these side kicks he's  power power he wants to be slightly careful though if Josh capitalizes exactly if Josh  makes that adj adjustment sees that read of
when he's going to throw that in cires off  then then comes in he he can he can counter it o that was a nice left hand there by alexavier  and a couple good body shots for exiting now we are having a southpaw versus Orthodox fight  right now which means there's going to be lots of lead hand reaching and they're going to  be fighting for the jab to land it's fighting beautiful leg kick there by Josh as soon as he  swung for that head kick alexavier Josh then fired a leg kick immediately he missed
and then  then on the in these clinch situations Josh is landing some nice maybe he's invested in the  body early and a nice left jab taken control of the center of the Octagon leg kick checked  by alexavier dangerous work in the clinch from both Fighters very they're very comfortable in  the clinch very comfortable I I would guess that both of these guys try in MMA it's interesting  cuz you expect a karate style person to be as comfortable in the VCH but if I'm not mistaken  I believe both the
se Fighters do come from a karate background and I I would have expected  them to be Point fed a little bit more but I think they're both aware that um you know knes  body shots they're going to be what really takes the wind out of out of the sails in in this in  this kind of situation in the duration of all three rounds by the round three and two you'll  start to feel the body shots add up really add up and that like you said the wind will just come  out your stamina just decreases exponentiall
y every round yeah even if you've put in the most  training um and with with these big gloves as we say knees and body kicks they're going to be  very valuable wow would you look at the blue Corner Alex aier looks very tired he does I  don't want to make any body language reads but he is leaning on his Corner man right now  and he's breathing heavy bent over but then in the first round always so much of you it does  it does you have a massive adrenaline d hover the first it's almost climatizing
at that point  you have to get used to the the flow of fighting yeah looks like we may have a slight no we seem to be good it does appear there seems to be a slight  ISS that's the fight called off the fight over wow wow alexavier seems to have had an issue  maybe he's been injured or something um um not too sure at the moment incredible from  both Fighters but that is the fight called off Josh has ended the fight in round one nean  there you go I I'm not sure if that's is that going to count as
a technical knockout there  you go I guess it does I guess it does there you go good job from both Fighters shame  they didn't get to go all longer because that was they were really showing some good  uh some good strikes and some exci and stuff there um however unfortunately that's what can  happen in the fight game exactly you got to be prepared yeah anything can happen and yeah  that is the fight ended at the end of round one I've got to say both aggressive uh sorry  Fighters came out very a
ggressive once again certainly did I wanted to see a bit more  of that to be honest because I felt like they had a lot to give especially cardio wise um  however as we say that's the way the fight game goes looks like the do doctor is currently  talking to Josh right now explaining the situation we actually do not know what what's  happened completely we don't get updates until someone actually comes and tells off so  so we will let you know as soon as we know yeah looks like there's some debate
going I do  feel I do feel for alexavier right now because you know he he's in good shape you can you can  see that by the way he's moving and by the way he looks he's clearly put in you know time and  effort to train and prepare for this fight and it is a a demoralizing thing when you know the fight  ends in that way um so yes sympathy's going out to alexavier right now it wasn't his choice either  doctor stoppage it was a doctor stoppage and you never want to be in that position after that  f
irst round your winner by dko in the Red Corner [Applause] joshu [Applause] [Music] [Applause] we will now take a short five minute  break before our last fight for the interval so quickly get yourselves down to  the bar for out of drinks get yourselves down get a drink we'll be back here in in  five minutes you'll hear me over the tan hi guys we're going to be joined by Anita  Anita the first winner of our first fight of this evening Anita well done first of all  on your Victory um how did you
feel about the whole evening how how do you feel like it went do  you feel pleased with the result I'm pleased with the result I feel like I could have done better  she did an amazing job with the give for sure is that she can hit um she's an amazing Fighter  um it was a tough fight but I think it it ended well is there any point where you felt St um  I think at the end of the second round I was pretty gased I can't lie um I don't feel like  I trained enough for it in terms of my stamina but um
yeah I just decided you know what I'm I'm  going to finish this no matter what I'm going to give it my all do my best and whatever happens  happen and it happened that's exactly what you did I mean I wouldn't discredit your your cardio  too much you always get a massive adrenaline dump after the first or second round so you did very  well to fight through that and continue going you did not stop swinging to the end both of you  were very aggressive and you kept going till the very end and you ha
d some really nice powerful  shots got a couple good knockdowns in there and a good few sweeps it was a very nice performance  thank you thank you so much how feel stepping into the ring have you f before not like this no I've  done you know competitions and stuff like that but nothing to to the I've never been in a ring before  so yeah this was an incredible new opportunity and um yeah I'm glad I did it and hopefully I can  do it again I was going to say have you got a taste for victory now is
it something you'd like  to continue potentially for sure for sure I've been a martial for quite some time but um since  I joined my society's MMA my University's MMA Society um yeah for sure it's just give me more  motivation to go through with it and um see how far I can go brilliant brilliant and what is your  martial arts background so I did about four years of karate uh between the ages of 13 and I guess  17 um I did I started more Thai about 3 years ago and I just started Brazilian jiu-jit
su maybe  a total of six months now wow well done that's awesome experience is it's more than me that's for  sure um and is you know you say you just started training Jiu-Jitsu recently is MMA something you'd  like to potentially fight in in the future yes it would yeah it's um it's an awesome Sport and um  yeah so much so much fun in it yeah yeah awesome and how did you feel fighting in 16 oce gloves I  know some people can find that difficult fighting in such big pillowy gloves um no it was it
was  good I wasn't too concerned about the the gloves so just just my cardio just my stamina fa enough  reducing power um no not too much I feel maybe in the legs I know you know leg kicks are they can be  very exhausting yeah so I think it need to work on you know being able to pick up my legs a whole lot  more and probably trying to rely on my hands a bit more so I get tired not as quickly yeah incredible  did you think you were going to win at the end um I was really nervous about it I can't
lie cuz I I  knew she got some good shots in for sure um but I think maybe the the knockdowns kind of helped  leverage it a bit for me I mean yeah that's exactly it I think we were looking at the fight it  could have gone either way but I think you landed did more knockdowns and sweeps were almost even  but I think there was those knockdowns that won you the fight and they were they were good ones  they were some hard shots thank you I think you did land more sweeps than Lyra really your your
Sweep game was on point today really you have you been practicing it no really it just just a few H  just a few yeah well you look like a professional out there so there was some really good inside  inside low Nice Kicks and trips there was some some good um efficient movement there yeah thank  you so much one thing I thought I was going to get more of was head kakes I don't feel like I  use them very much cuz that's usually my go-to um I guess that comes from my karate background  cuz that's us
ually what they encourage you to do but um yeah just got to work on getting those  legs up a bit more when I'm already fatigued no that's exactly it incredible well thank you very  much Anita thank you so much as well this is this is awesome guys I hope you have an amazing MMA  career enjoy the rest of your night enjoy the time off and and I'm sure you're going to have  a good relax now after that hard training camp so enjoy it man thank you so much thank you now  ladies and Gentlemen please tak
e your seats for the final fight before the official interval  after the little interlude that we have just had fighting out of the blue corner from the  University of Kent Canterbury it's Anastasia tki [Applause] w come [Music] [Music] on [Music] [Music] [Music] GL [Applause] and her opponents  fighting in the red corner from the University of York it's  Amelia [Applause] [Music] a [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] go [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] heavy heavy pressure from Amelia
OH looking just still look at a TKO here she got to be careful though so she tank exactly  that's the problem she doesn't want to guess herself out which is quite possible with the  intensity she's going at she got to control her energy yeah pick her shots yeah some  Nice Kicks so to the body finding a home for them it's quite awkward so Emelia is  fighting Southpaw so it's it's opening up that left kick to the [Applause] liver  Ania got to be careful not to turn back she's just marching forwa
rd she's  Landing turning her back that's showing the that she doesn't want to fight  exactly I think it's quite evident based on just the what we're seeing here  the mindset of the two fighters so we got a standing count here this is good for  Amelia she can catch your [Applause] breath back again Marching  for back at it [Applause] again she just permanently got her opponent on  the back foot just no chance for any offense from her walking her just stalking prey  really she going for some knee
s against the cage there oh but she can see she's  tired though the punches are getting more labored but this just there truely the fight  will be ended you know there's just nothing coming back out the other way the ref yeah  this has got to be another standing count I think really it would have probably been  better to just call the fight there you know we're not seeing any output from the  opponent here Amelia's just got it all her way now we saw some we saw some great left  kicks there to th
e body trying to aim for the liver probably and just the boxing from  Amelia just straight punches straight down the pipe straight out her opponent she was not  liking that the heavy pressure maybe Anastasia needs to change her angles cuz she's just  letting her walk down in a linear line so she cut her angles pivots then that'll create  attacking opportunities for her exia ex yeah I think for Anastasia what she needs to do is  she needs to give something back that's going to deter Amelia from w
alking it down whether that  be a jab a te or she cuts an angle and tries to land a hook or something I just think there  needs to be some form of offense coming back the other way cuz at the minute is not taken  anything she can just March freely and land whatever she wants Amelia is in total control  of this fight yeah I think we're looking for a stoppage here I'm not sure this fight goes in  the [Applause] distance now entering round number two I expect Amelia to come out strong  here see str
aight back to it straight back to it from oh Some solid hands [Applause]  here my goodness oh opponent's on Wy legs Anastasia some warbly wobbly legs she's  just attacking it yeah surely like as the referee's got to start step in here  this just it's just a beat down she's not defending herself no the thing  is though because and Stage is still throwing stuff back she's still technically  intelligently defending herself but look at this just Against the Cage she's just  taking a beating there we
go the towels in I think that was just been thrown in yeah  it was it was the best decision you know and at the end of the day we've got to protect  the fighters congratulations to Amelia on the win solid win from Amelia yeah well  for crowd getting behind it as well I'm sure she's devastated but yeah it takes a lot  of courage to even step in the any say that's it I mean regardless of the performance it  took a lot for Mania to come here you know to get into the cage in the first place  you kn
ow she's coming to a different uni that's probably quite frightening for her as  well so kudos to her but I think that fight was only going to go one way I think it was a  good decision for them to throw the towel in really there we go some happy cornman [Applause] [Music] [Applause] there and  here we are for the official decision not that any of you need reminding in the  second round your winner by TKO in the [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] r [Music] [Applause] Now la
dies and gentlemen we will have our  officially planned interval if you look to the front there are two lovely Dapper  gentlemen down here Rory and Taylor give them a wave [Music] every these  gentlemen are selling the raffle tickets go and buy one lots of wonderful  prizes we'll see you back here at quarter to9 domination amazing amazing all the work  and I've got to go in corner yeah I mean that's that's quite something to get  your head round isn't it is now TR to have to coach other people u
m let's talk  about your fight first off though I must say yeah I'm train like three times a day for  10 weeks and it showed and it showed tonight I mean you you just kept walking down letting  those punches go and most of them were Landing there was a a long guard that Anastasia had at the  beginning that didn't really hold up too well as soon as you started plowing on those shots it kind  of broke down you got through and you kept getting through just kept walking her down pushing Up Up  Again
st the Cage it was a great great game plan thank you was that the game plan initially just  be aggressive as it can be and walk it out that was my plan and it worked off there you go there  you go fantastic a little bit how how long have you do martial arts in general that's a question  I've done Judo for 14 years and then I joined MMA Club in my first year and now I'm in my third year  he also coached the grappling and took up striking for three three months ago so so what what made  you want t
o transition from being a j to then try out striking um I converted to Brazilian  jiu-jitsu and then from there converted to MMA couldn't find an MMA match up but I wanted a fight  so K1 it was so you've got loads of experience in um grappling by the sounds of it but not loads  in Striking and obviously today was a Showcase of striking how much striking experience do you  have uh I started in September wow well done I mean clearly it's it's it's been a lot it's  been a lot of uh training in a sh
ort amount of time all the amazing coaches at the club and  at Legions brilliant are going to take this win and then try Venture towards K1 maybe MMA in the  future yeah I'd love to do an MMA fight in the future so you never know we'll see we'll see  me on the cards oh be good do you think this was your Avenue into MMA perhaps we'll see  I'll let you know from back most certainly how did you feel fighting in um such big gloves  as well I know the 16s for some people can nice I've been training i
n them so it's felt nice the  same gos I've been training him for 10 weeks so there you go fine by me no problems well done any  nerves coming into this fight know obviously this was your first fight a little bit how did you  manage him I just locked myself in ages ago put my headphones on didn't talk to anyone sat there  and compos myself and I'm good to go yeah well done what would you say then if um anybody else  was fighting this evening the mental preparation obviously you're going to be qu
ing some Fighters  yeah how would you be giving them advice on how to mentally prepare for this tough scary moment  get your head in the game at the end of the day it's a big charity event you have to to enjoy  it don't don't take it too seriously it's fun you have to enjoy it we've trained hard for it had  some laughs along the way yeah what fights are you cornering by the way um I'm cornering seven and  Nathan two MMA fights how do you think Seven's fight is going to go fabulous yeah yeah that
's  good that's good yeah I mean we got a few fights now for the rest of the evening and obviously  Amelia is the current um president of our club at the University of York and she's not just  cornering fighting she's also helped massively organize this entire event and has done so for the  last couple years so I I i' personally like to say a massive thank you thank you so much because  you've fought helped train people and organized it which you know play exactly exactly I we know  it was not e
asy to get all of this organized get the ring and everything get ticket sales yeah  so thank you for that I me you're very welcome I'm glad you will be Min president as well that's  what I like to I'll be back I'll be back certainly yeah University of York coming away with a win  tonight bit of an interesting result tonight for you Josh oh yeah I was quite surprised yeah I mean  I was as well we were sat up here trying to work out what was going on um you know from down in  there what what happe
ned oh so so he got tko'ed he was was almost throwing up in the throwing  up in the ring apparently the knees into the ribs that and he he apparently said he couldn't  continue this what I I heard but it's I'm just as surprised as you are yeah I mean what was the  game plan going into this fight um well originally I I didn't expect him to be taller than me so I  was planning on playing range and trying to use my kicks but on seeing seeing him and seeing how  much taller he was I decided I wanted
to basically just wait for him and then get in and just knee I  wanted to just land clean knees maybe play fight on the inside as much as I could basically and  just get him on the the cage which that was that was all I really could do I think I mean and it  worked cuz both you guys came out swinging at each other you know he was teing you quite well and  you were close to distance with with your kicks and your knees and clearly it worked cuz you know  we ended up getting the doctor stoppage so
we got toop me thank you yeah I mean there was something  I saw he was he was he was doing a lot of skipping TS and a lot of skipping Sidekicks you know he was  doing them one after the other and a few of them did land and I'm sure they hurt but you managed  to get the read on it Circle off get in get in a clinch situation and I must say they were a very  very efficient knees especially in the K1 rule set you can't clinch for very long as we know oh  yeah and those knees you were managed to thr
ow they were good and they hit hard so well done man  thanks yeah how long have you been doing martial arts in uh martial arts I started at S I started  doing karate at 7 uh until I was about 14 15 uh like that's competing and then I quit when I was  16 and I just started here doing Tha uh when just at Uni so I've got about 12 years of martial arts  I'd say whereabouts that's good you have you ever considered transitioning over to uh to MMA that's  I'm hoping to at one point I'm currently workin
g on my gra but it's not quite it's not quite I'm  sure you've seen me it's not quite there yet but uh yeah I'm I'm hoping to one day just just  keep coming down to training keep coming down to grappling you know you will get there by the way  certainly I must you that though I must say like well done for you know sticking with the training  camp this is your second fight of the Year isn't it uh yeah yeah exactly so hopefully more to come  oh yeah I'm planning to get fight as much as I can exact
ly man well done I must say you look more  like a TIE fighter than a karate fighter this evening that was my goal the last one I came out  and I just was well bouncing around and I just know I I I I'm doing tie I wanted to fight like a  tie I mean person in my opinion obviously I I was helping you warm up last last time for your fight  I think this time your game plan was definitely more concrete and I think that that show got  straight in there did the job got it out of there yeah there you go
down it was a it was a pleasure  talking to you bro than you thanks very much Josh hello hello hello now we're going to be  joined by Dan hello pleasure to be here well done on your Victory thank you very much how you  feeling oh mate I'm so so happy to be honest I was really nervous about it and honestly I'm  really glad it was over cuz now I can eat such nice food get a drink you know I think that's  what I'm gonna do after this to be honest like training P I know I saw you at DNA a couple tim
e  training oh M I think I think that training really paid off with getting my like before I think I  stayed at distance quite a lot trying to play it out but I think just getting in there is  more my uh my style now as you probably saw almost certainly being comfortable getting on  the inside does well you did certainly did that tonight and showcased that thank you thank  you both you both came out of the gate very aggressive um most of the fights have been quite  intense this evening and I mus
t say that um you know you you managed to land I think you know  more more more um kicks to the body um more leg kicks as well um and it looked like when you  were Landing you were doing a bit more damage yeah oh yeah you pressured him really well I mean  like when when you had you when he had You Against the Cage you were pivoting well creating angles  for yourself counter attacking you know was that something Dustin was working on with you yeah in  DNA yeah he was actually um he was saying tha
t you want to play to your like range Advantage which  obviously like because I knew who I was fighting against cuz Jess is of course great guy is from  the same Club York I was we sort of knew what each other was going to do and we knew jesses was going  to walk forward and try and walk me down so I was like okay what can we do and Dustin was like well  just hit him with a one two step off if you're against the corner uh cage just step off hit him  with a roundhouse or something so yeah that wa
s part of the game plan but it was also to uh the  main main game plan I think walk forwards like pressure him down with boxing throw over hands  cuz we knew he'd reach out his hands too far pull him down Chuck it back and yeah that's basically  what happened having the rage Advantage how did you feel about fighting an octagon of this size  as we know it's not it's not a massive octagon so how did that feel to be honest uh I think there  was plenty of space to be honest not too big not too small
good um having the range Advantage cuz  on the during a fight Camp I'm used to fighting like bigger opponents normally like as we saw uh  Josh from before and Spar him quite a lot and uh Sam who later on who's going to have a sick fight  by the way I am so excited so uh fighting jessus it was really nice I think because I'm used to  getting my head popped off with Jabs and now I was the one doing it so yeah yeah I mean it was  a great performance man and I hope like you say you can now eat some
food you would like to eat  have a couple drinks enjoy the rest of your night cuz you've certainly earned it man it's going  to be great thanks very much for talking to us man appreciate it pleasure care pleas cheers  have a good one you too that was Dan katrick everybody from the University of nework before  we return with our fights we will now draw the raffle thank thank you to everyone who's  bought a raffle ticket we've raised an extra 165 for York mines on top of  all of the money that we
've already raised for so thank you so your  first ticket for a pair of boxing gloves number 43 [Music] if you just come  down to the front Hill and collect your part our next ticket is just draw  for one of our personalized training shirt in the previous Fight  Night number 17 anyone anyone [Applause] [Music] going and the last one which gets  a free personal training session with a o Tha coach from legion's gym  in York big prize big prize number 58 anyone do do we have a winner  yeah come on
down to the front now now that we've raised more money  for the wonderful York mind charity do incredible work for mental health  in York we'll move on to our next fight this fight is a bclass MMA bounce  and will consist of three thre minute rounds your first fighter in the blue  Corner fighting out of the the University of York it's Harrison [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Lee I [Music] [Applause] [Music] and now  for his opponents in the Red Corner fighting out of the University of York it's se
ven [Applause] [Music] [Music] hle it's a it's [Music] a [Music] okay you're now joined with Toby and Evan hello  right we've got seven and Harrison fighting a b-class MMA fight so this is three threes exactly  three three minute round your predictions of this fight my predictions uh um it I I'd like to  back my friend uh seven I've trained with him for longer I've seen his grappling um however  I know Harrison standup game is decent so it's going to be interesting to see what happens and  strai
ght out of the gate seven gets the take down picks up the leg for single I'm excited for  this fight you know I know both of them have been fighting not fighting sorry training for a very  long time especially Harrison and S had a fight last year which was a draw so hopefully he's  he's he's grown as a fire since then exactly and you know obviously off of Seven's first fight  he spent some time on his back and right now he is on top in some kind of full guard uh not  quite closed by Harrison and
SE is trying to land some body shots Harrison needs to work  out of this position but this is not good in MMA at all no because every single second that  Seven's on top of Harrison he Harrison is going to be getting more and more tired and now he's  trying to create his frames put his frames in post up create some distance between him and and  seven now if you were Harrison here Toby would you be trying to use the cage to help you maybe  get back up if anything I would want to be away from the
cage cuz that would make it a lot harder  to get up yeah well if you're seven that is right so yeah exactly so if I was seven I would want  to keep Harrison's Head Up Against the Cage so it would be harder for him to get his frames in  you know and then technical stand up but H needs to you know oh he's got an under hook on his leg  Yeah he has let's see if he can do something with that looks like Seven's trying to get the  guard past now trying to get the knee slide in come into some sort of Mo
unt sure quite a lot of  people are confused as to what the hell is going on no H has his legs good body shots from  the top here by seven as well create those moments of of being being able to to move  the grappling exchanges by Landing some shots you know create openings make him  post make him have to defend and then make your grappling moves and it looks like  that's what Seven's trying to implement right now and that's it Harrison is trying to go  for some sort of AGA gami guard here with g
rabbing Seven's right leg but seven is  circling trying to get back and pass that leg s doing really well keeping his weight on  top top of Harrison so he's not able to sweep him which is ideally what he wants to do right  now in this position you know he's got his body up against the cage which is not helping his  position at all Harrison's doing well to kick him off then keep him off of him the seven not  staying on keeping that pressure on him this is not Jiu-Jitsu this is MMA now as we know
if if  Harrison's able to get back up here uh it's not going to be as bad on the scorecards but if he  stays on his back to the end of this round that round will definitely go to seven [Applause]  Harrison needs to stand up I think he needs to try and get up as well or go for some kind of  sweeps he's opting for some Up Kicks and that is the end of round one which undoubtedly would go  to seven good first round very good first round from Seven may add Harrison got taken down far  too easily um y
eah see he just went straight for that leg didn't he and he just him down and kept  going he kept seven was just on top of the whole round yeah you know when Harrison is in that  sort of position where seven is not engaging in his guard yeah Harrison needs to stand up  cuz clearly Seven's not going to engage yeah he's ground and pounding his stomach he's winning  he's winning the round he's won that round in the eyes of George so he's won that round off of  control time and if if you're Harrison
you are on the bottom in that situation you know you  want to throw up couple of submission attempts like he tried if that doesn't work you then do  want to try and get back up you don't want to keep going for submissions someone wants to just  replicate what he did on the first round exactly same again harison needs to stop him yeah and  Harrison needs to try and stay on his feet or get a taked down of his [Applause] own coming out  the gate oh good shot and that is a guillotine that Harrison
has locked in on seven I don't  know whether that looks like it might might be deep but he's given up no s managed to break out  of that and Seven's now connected Griffin he's managed to get the Tak down beautiful double  leg there by seven managing to get out that Guillotine and then getting Harrison to the ground  let's see if Harrison look his lesson from last round oh oh triangle attempt looking like  but he's not got his leg over Seven's arm so it's going to be difficult  Harrison needs to
grab his shin now Seven's doing a good job of keeping the way on  Harrison here making him work to create distance and again using the cage to his advantage to press  him keeping him closed Corner exactly Seven's pulling all his weight on Harrison which is just  going to Tire him out he's going to Tire him out exactly and they've still got another round to  to fight and it's going to take a toll on them and you know now stand up there you go there  you go he was able to get back up and head seve
n straight back in for the take down again  oh not quite didn't connect the hands that's har but he's on him again and a single leg and  seven is giving a good wrestling Master right now beautiful take down as soon as Harrison  gets back to his feet he's just taking him down again is s going to try and pass his  guard we just lay in half guard let's let's take a look in a half guard position right now  I think seven and again he has him up against the cage exctly it's going to be incredibly  har
d for Harrison to shrimp out and regain his guard good hit bump not quite not quite  he's M unfortunately Harrison had a good idea there but gave up Mount unfortunately  he nearly reversed seven but Seven's doing well to keep his hooks in wow wow this is  interesting now Harrison spun over into Turtle s trying to hang on and then get  the back from this position and he has it looks like oh nearly he nearly got the back  there however he's back into Mount keeping his legs pressed up tightly again
st Harrison  whenever Harrison hit bumps and then tries to rotate he's hanging on sticking Glu to him  30 seconds left in round two of this class fight some good shots from both Lads  but you you know as we know we can't really create too much power from  the bottom with these body shots so if you are Harrison you're you're going to  you're going to want to try to get back up here head and arm choke attempt by  seven just too late in the round [Applause] unfortunately now look at well I I think
seven is giving a master class really in wrestling as soon as Harrison's able to get  back up he's just straight in again you know if you defend my taked down three times  I'm just going to shoot again and shoot again until I get it and that's what Seven's  doing and he's having quite a lot of success um seven like you said he is shown a wrestling  Master Class he's he's doing everything right he's shooting when Harrison covers up and  even when Harrison does succeed in stopping his takedowns s
even just go straight back into  it now what Harrison needs to do is control the space throw his Jabs on more not go rushing  into into seven to stop the threat of a take he needs to use that reach advantage that he  has and he needs to keep circling because he knows Seven's game plan now he knows he needs  to keep his keep his hips back there you go nice right hand by Harrison are we going to get  a bit more stand up this round potentially not seven again pressing Harrison Up Against the  Cage
trying to connect that grip to get the double leg Harrison defending slightly better  here keeping his weight down trying to Running Man Harrison needs to get an underhook that's  it there you go get an underhook turn him there you go nice knee by Harrison there that was  a good knee and another one some nice knees there but you want to be careful seven  is able to colnect that grip cuz if he gets him down again and that round like this  is fine seven is using a lot of energy right now to try an
d take him down that's very  true if I was seven I would back off I I'd try and set up the take down again I wouldn't  just continue to work for this oh some good shots [Applause] there looks like Harrison's  trying to get the neck of seven and he's able to get seven down and toss him onto the ground  and now Harrison's on top pounding on seven bit of a technical difficulty  with the judges table there wow on him these are some big shots  from the top some Big Shots by Harrison looks like Harris
on's trying to  make up to the time he spent on the bottom and really putting some damage now this in this  last round I feel like it's too little too late just the the last round a minute and 30 left  Yeahs to finish exactly he needs to finish and he is trying to get that he is trying to go  for this Guillotine I don't you know he he does have the guillotine he does have the D yeah  it's just whether he can see it or not yeah and seven is trying to hold on to that leg and  he's out of the choke
position right now and that was that was a very good move by seven there  flipping Harrison off of his other leg cannot afford to stay on bottom with 50 seconds left if  Harrison isn't able to get up he will lose the fight or throw up submission attempt from the bottom what's he got to me triangle looks like there's a triangle  attemp from Harrison he's not quite got the legs where he wants to be if he can  pull his left if he can pull his shin down hold his shin looks like he's trying to no or
transition to an arm bar I think he's let go of it and now seven all seven needs to  do is just sit here for the last 10 seconds and ride this one out and he he  should have the win and there you have it first mixed martial arts fight of the evening  and we certainly got some mixed martial arts didn't we Toby we did indeed what a strap from  both gentlemen some great grappling for both Lads there unfortunately Harrison couldn't quite  get the submission off and he landed certainly when he got
on the top he was Landing you know he  was Landing good strikes he when he was on top he capitalized off of it more than seven did however  Seven's takeown game and control game staying on top is much better you know that's the thing  isn't it do you want to sacrifice being able to have more control over your opponent for  landing more strikes ground and pounding or would you rather land more strikes and then  lose control slightly I agree seven pinned Harrison down really well his takedowns wer
e  his takedown entries were very good however congratulations to both Fighters for even Having  the courage you know to come out here and fight in front of all these people you know cuz not  not everyone can can say I've had a fight I've had an MMA fight you know it takes it does take  courage and confidence to certainly stuff like this so fair play to both of them Fair before we  announ the winner of that last fight we have a big thank you to say to Harrison in the blue Corner  who's been trai
ning with us to fight and stepped in last night to fight seven after somebody  dropped out so we have a round of applause for [Applause] [Music] harison and now after an  incredible three rounds the judges have come to a decision the winner by unanimous decision in the  Red Corner seven [Applause] [Music] Hassan [Music] [Music] in the spirit of thank yous before our next  fight I've got a couple of thank yous to make on behalf of the club firstly we can we get a  round of applause for the Univer
sity of Kent Canterbury and Hull University for their  Fighters and all the work they've put in coming here and helping us put this evening  [Applause] on we're also going to have to thank ystv and Tech talk for the live stream  and all the sound and lights you see around you can we thank your med for being here to protect  our Fighters our wonderful medic [Applause] team our judges coming in on relatively short  notice and doing a great job so far I must say appla and finally to one of the most
important  people of this evening our [Applause] referee and also I'd like to give a personal thank you  to our President and Vice President stood over here NE media have put in the most  incredible job with this club this year and this evening would not run at  all without them and we're all going to miss them even though I be either they'll  be sorely missed by the club next year so we can we have one final massive Round  of Applause for these [Applause] [Music] two now I've been a bit soy le
t's  get another fight going so this is our penultimate fight and it will be  a cclass MMA bout your first fighter in the blue Corner fighting out of H  [Music] [Applause] University it's Tom [Music] [Applause] [Music] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] don't [Music] [Applause] and his opponents fighting in the Red Corner  out of the University of York it's Nathan [Applause] Jing [Music] [Applause] [Music] as this is a cclass MMA B there will be no head right we are back again again cclass MMA  fight
this time between our own Nathan and Tom Wood so one thing you've got to look out for in  this fight is as it C class there are no head strikes allowed so predominantly what this turns  into is a lot of wrestling and trying to find the knees as they're the most effective strike but  obviously these two boys coming out heavy on the leg kicks you can see they're just trying to stop  each other so it's going to affect their movement and if they can't move it makes them easier to  take down then her
e we go for the first shot by Tom oh set again is take down defenses clean these  two look like strikker stilling to me they they love their strike I think already though uh the uh  the leg kicks of Tom they they're chipping away at Nathan look his leg already gone his leg is gone  it only takes a few doesn't I was going to say that's the thing so if you notice as well Tom he's  them to the shin instead of to the thigh wow what an attempt there from so what this means he's he's  aiming for The P
erennial nerve and it means that he his foot drops it makes it really difficult  for him to walk and you can see already it's it's working he's limping already his movement's  been massively affected by these leg kicks again they're just so short and snappy to the the to  the Cal nice KN there by incredible incredible I don't know if any of you have been kicked in  the perennial but you physically cannot feel you cannot move your leg I'm telling you it's bad nice  Inc both Tom's fight he's got o
n top though he's straight up you can see Tom's clearly a striker  even when he's on top in a dominant position he's gotten straight up another sweep again but you see  he's got no interest in the ground game for Nathan the priority is to try and take him to the ground  but you can see Tom's he's happy at distance just chopping away at the leg like that in TS as well  he's just trying he's got a very clear game plan which is to land kicks and stay away from the  ground right Nice Shot he Ripp th
e body oh he's see oh Nathan fighting for top he's trying for a  take down SC go up Dr great he's he's going for a guillotine I'm not sure how tight this is Nathan  seems to be getting his head free what he wants to do is he wants to step to the same side no to  the opposite side I should say he can try and set up a Von flu but with it being Against the Cage  it's unlikely a lot more difficult it's very set up of yeah he wants to try and stop step over to  the opposite side though and it will al
leviate a lot of the pressure that's on his neck you see  he's currently trying to fight the hands he's just pushing down trying to create some space  so he can breathe just trying to hit the body trying to move Tom's arms out the way trying to  expose something to get the Rel what Tom has to be careful of on bottom is he's going to gas his  arms out to C he's just Curr trying to sze on the head and obviously it's unsuccessful currently  but he's just burning his arms out luckily his game plan i
s quite heavily focused on kicks oh  sweep again drops him again yeah that was round one ladies and gentlemen I think that round is  obviously quite clearly in favor of Tom he has no interest in the ground game but he's doing  a very good job at chipping away at the legs of Nathan he's he's he's he's shutting down a lot I  think Nathan's legs he he was limping at one point it was very early on as well I think it was maybe  after about four car kicks he's just all it takes is a few and it really
slows down figh it shows  Nathan was Nathan was in pain and it was clear yeah you can well just look at the body language  I mean Tom stood up Nathan sat down exactly you know it's unfortunate obviously as a uni of York  fighter but I think Tom is definitely getting the upper hand at least after that first round it'll  be interesting to see what sort of changes they make to the game plan obviously for Tom he'll  just want to keep it at distance shop at the leg and for Nathan I think he wants to
take him to  the floor I think that's where his Advantage will lie exactly he's a strong Grappler I've before  in in fight camp and he he's very strong he's a very strong boy and he's got good Jitsu as well  yeah I mean considering I think he said he was what 70 something kilograms he he feels like he's  like 80a he's a very strong dense person exactly like he's as in see class he's look he's framing  off the head he's trying to push him towards the cage uh this is something that we've spoken  a
bout actually me him oh he jumped avoided KN nice you see Tom doesn't like that he's backing  up against the cage naan he's framing him he's trying to push him against the cage we can look  for a take down or to look to land knees but Tom doing a good job for landing leg kicks even on the  back foot he's he's found a home for them against the fence is probably the worst position to be for  Tom right now because seems to picked up the pace and he's pressuring him he knows he need to win  now he k
nows he need to do something KNE another knee he's targeting the legs see Tom straight up  straight up to his feet he wants nothing to do with it Tom just wants to keep this standing he's  probably looking for a li KO or even a TKO by leg kick see there's been a clear adjustment here  in the corner of Nathan they told him to start focusing on Landing the knees and in the cclass  MMA that is just such a good strategy I see these body shots are picking up Nathan now they've  starting to take their
toll kick but again the body kicks Nathan's throwing that they they two  he's predicting them Tom he's catching them he's look again you see he's going for these sweeps  he's just chopping away at his legs and every time he gets up you've got to think because his legs  are already hurting so much every time he gets up it's just hurt it's more difficult it's slowing  him down he's doing a better job this round of checking them but look Tom's just oh he's trying  to pull guard no interesting lets
him back up he does both Fighters seem to I think uh what the  corner should be telling Nathan is probably to abandon these these KNE by Tom there that heavy  knee the these knees that he's the kicks that he's throwing sorry they're getting caught and  he's getting swept often exactly he needs to try and close a distance land his knees and search  for a take down maybe throw some liver hooks in as well some shovel hooks even you see he's tired  the occasionally Tom's just he's just tapping away
at the body he's just zapping the energy away from  and again you see Nathan in the his body language is tired and as the fight goes on Tom's Landing  more and more shots to the lier heavy leg kick there as well you can see yeah it took Nathan  a few seconds to recover from that one he did not like that no good sweep by sweep from naan  he needs to try and search for underhooks he's current he's got he need under hooks for grappling  is a much more dominant position to be in he needs sorry spea
k yes it's right mate looking at the  redness of both their bodies you can see Tom is also starting to recum a bit of redness ah again  on the floor Nathan Nathan's abdomen is looking very red though as well and you can just see just  how lab he is getting back up to his feet the body language like he was saying before Dylan he's his  arms are very down I know this's a C class but still I think so after the end of round two it was  a much stronger from Nathan but I think Tom has still clearly go
t the edge here I think in terms  of strategy for round three Nathan needs to come out and he needs to look for a finish and what he  needs to do is he needs to get Tom Up Against the Cage secure under Hooks and he needs to land knees  to the body and hope he gets a stoppage I think even if if he manages to take Tom down a round  of control time won't do enough for the judges exactly he either needs to try and submit him or  I think based on what we've seen so far the knees to the body will prob
ably be the best strategy  for him to he's had a lot of success with these so far hasn't he it's just it's difficult for  him cuz Tom is obviously keeping him at range he's throwing his TS he's throwing his leg kicks  it's just stopping Nathan from getting hold of him and throwing his knees which is what he wants to  do that's the problem man getting into the range is the hardest challenge once you into the range  grappling on and throwing the knees is the easy part getting into the range is the
challenge if  Nathan can overcome that then he could potentially see stoppage by yeah there's definitely still  chance you know anything can happen in MMA As We Know you know this strong start there from Tom  nice T and again with the leg kicks wow he's just found such Lu him he see he's off balancing in  Nathan so much he's just found such a home for them he's found his comfortable spot now hasn't  he yeah Nathan's lifting the leg to defend them but he's not really pointing the shin at them  t
o check them I think if he checked them good by he needs to try and maintain this position  if he can see he's Tom just getting straight guillotin attemp it looks like he need to try  and throw his knees nice yes I'm not sure if he'll secure the guillotine I'm not sure if it  looks like it's under the neck properly he needs to try and secure his hands as well I think a  better bet would be to try and throw knees and try and not be swept cuz all it takes here is  for Tom to catch one of them and
sweep him and then it's back to Grand zero for him it is also  one inarm gin but now it's not it's a lot harder to finish a lot harder to keep holding you see  both men are tied here both hands on the hips you know they both they've exhausted both of them  given it what they can but I do think Tom has got the edge here so far the mixture of body shots and  just grappling it completely exhaust you it's so hard to go three rounds of complete body wow what  a powerful shot landed by Tom great job t
here from [Applause] Tom you can see these men are  absolutely battered right now fighting with their lives good kick there from Nathan oh catch  unlucky there he' be curious to see what Nathan's leg's like when he takes off the I imagine his leg  will be bruised all over see Tom is he's backing up against the cage more it's difficult because  he's so exhausted but Nathan needs to try and you capitalize on that and get a take down just like  this go he needs to try and secure a top that oh he's
half guard currently he's looking for a full  Mount if he can pass this into full Mount he'll be in a very good position there is one minute and  six seconds left on the clock so he has time to work with he's nearly it's an option also if he's  oh he's got the map he's secur yes he's landed some to the body it's a strong it's a strong end  to the F he's looking for an Americano currently he's fighting a two-on-one grip he's going to try  and secure the arm and get a finish by submission he could
potentially take the back from this  position as well if he baits Americana yeah like looks like he's going for now he is so Nathan's  very strong and Tom has obviously shown he's not comfortable on the ground here so for Nathan  chasing the submission especially this late in the fight is definitely a good idea exactly now  he's going for a straight arm look again Tom is just so uncomfortable on the ground he's trying  his best he's trying to hit bump him off but he not effect that's what you g
ot to do you just got  to keep bumping but it's so tiring again being in this position it's just so taxing energy wise for  both of them especially that this is happening at the end of the fight you've got to think if this  happened earlier in the fight for Nathan I think he would have had success exactly but the went a  bit early there actually yeah few seconds early I was it was about 6 seconds left on the car yeah  shocking incredible performance for both men today so what do you make of that
fight Yan uh I'm I  think Tom has the advantage here I do think yeah Nathan's put up a good fight he had he had a bit  of a comeback as well in the later rounds however overall I think Nathan's had the most control  time done the most damage to the body as well and obviously with those leg kicks you were seeing  at the start who's really messing up Nathan's legs very early on I think despite the late round  Resurgence from Nathan I think just accumulatively all of the damage to the legs that uh
Tom's done  it just impacted Nathan it stopped him being able to move around as much and that allowed uh for  body strikes to land and he just chip away slowly and he just Za the energy and it showed at the  end of the fight exactly here we are for our decis three hard rounds your judges have a decision  your winner by unanimous decision in the blue [Music] [Applause] [Music] corner [Music] [Applause] [Music] SC Now ladies and gentlemen we are sadly on  to our final fight of the night can I get
an [Music] A can I get another ah look  like louder there we go thank you for coming to the pan M now your final fight  of the night returns to K1 your fighter in the blue Corner fighting out of Hall  [Music] [Applause] University it's Edward [Music] [Applause] [Music] M [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] start [Music] this W and his opponents in the  Red Corner fighting out of the University of York It's s Martin [Applause] d [Applause] [Applause] St ladies and gentlemen it's have noise for
our last fight of the [Music] evening this K1 B will consist of three two round  guys today this is our last fight of the evening ending with a an MMA with a  kickboxing vout sorry a K1 vout featuring Sam and Edward Sam from York Edward from  and the guys are coming out of the gate strong with some kicks out of the looking  very bouncy he certainly is springy to his step nice jab there by Sam good [Applause] job  really well certainly is maybe he could use that to set up something else lat to
end both guys  trading shots here the start for round one and trading leg kicks as [Music] well Sam's landed  a couple of these leg kicks [Applause] early and Edwards landed a couple of body kicks  looking to try land a side kick there no going these guys oh and a good  one two there from Edward trying return by Edward unfortunately not  there swing to miss from Edward that's a good body kick by Edward there then Sam  keeping the pressure on him nice body kick Sam is doing really well controllin
g the center of  that octagon he is the aggressor right now he is putting the pressure on and that is just  changed oh it is quite back and forth to be fair between these guys um they're both having  their moments when they aggressive that was a good shot from both Lads there trading shots  heavy heavy punches good double jab there by Edward but a good right hand to the body there by  Sam and a good leg kick spinning out Edward SL 20 seconds left great shot there from Edward but I  must say thes
e are some really strong hard leg kicks from Sam that they may may do something  later in the rounds beautiful leg kick great combination there by Edwards great combination  Sam looking to try and land the off liver shot they're setting their kicks up really well  which I'm loving they're hiding in with the the hws and ending it with a kick something you love  to see I mean I must say I I'm very personally invested in this fight Sam's a good friend of mine  but you know being impartial I must sa
y that these guys have come out of the gate really trying to  take each other's heads off I agree there's a lot of aggression and they're both having their  moments where they're both Landing really nice fluid combinations what do you think both the  corners are telling them right now um well if I was personally if I if I was in Sam's Corner um  i' I'd be telling him to to be throwing more of those Les kicks but I'd be telling him to set  them up a little bit more because they will do some damag
e and they will cause immobility from  Edward um and if you're in Edward's Corner I'd say keep trying to land those power shots  set things up with Jabs his Jabs are good he's got good stiff jab I'd say keep trying  to walk forward and get him with that I think Sam's got maybe got a slight range Advantage so  I'd say he needs to use that to his advantage there we go and then another leg kick starting  strong from Sam swinging a Miss from Edward there nice spinning back kick unfortunately  doesn'
t quite land him a break at all C closing the distance it's these leg kicks  straight in it's these leg kicks that are doing damage good counter jab there  by Sam and a jab to the body Edward starting oh but no he landed a good switch  kick to the body and the left hand there to the Head good check there by Edward  unfortunately didn't check that [Music] one good head movement by Sam I must say out of  all the fights we've seen this evening I think these guys both have the best head movement  we
've seen tonight oh gets caught there unfortunately Sam is throwing a lot of H kicks  you know if if if he hides that with his Tross yeah it may be night night yeah that's I  think that's what what Sam need to start doing is hiding some of these kicks with  with with some more punches some straight punches but he is still you know controlling  the center of the Octagon mostly good T there from Edward and a good body kick it does look  like Sam's pace is starting to slow down a bit good jab there
by Sam and then Edwards flyes his  own leg kick good but kick to the body there by Sam and a good leg kick by Sam you know Sam  needs to keep this pressure on keep you know throwing those those one twos those leg kicks  to show the judges he is landing more damage certainly and I'm just looking at the  the clock right now and this is still round one which very much surprises me the  fact these guys have landed so much in round one means I think that we are probably  going to be getting a [Appla
use] finish well I think we've had a bit of a  technical difficulty there on the screen it's not the end of round  one that is the end of round two and now we are be having a minute  break before we get into the third round [Music] [Applause] spe [Applause] out early head kick partially block there by Sam bit of a first clinch situation we've really seen these guys are really trading leg kicks  here really really trading leg kicks they not checked by Sam but then Edward lands a  nice kick to the
body and then a stiff jab Sam catching that kick choosing to let  it go up for the punch and he's plowing on punches here got Edward up against the  [Applause] fence but Edward's coming back pushing him off nice kick to the body  there and then a couple right [Applause] hands one minute left in the third and final  round well both Fighters give it an all I think they are they certainly are given it their all  and you can tell at this point these guys are knackered but they are not slowing down
they're  really pushing to keep going and they are doing a good job now Edward interesting here got Sam  up against the fence little clinch situation o oh and Edward has caught Sam there a  couple times with some shots and then a knee Sam is landing loads of these  leg kicks man 30 seconds left nearly a head kick Land by Edwards who's winning  it who's going to win it let us know in the comments who you think is going  to win the final fight fight of the night Charles for more Corner shouting  f
or more Le 10 seconds left wow what a fight another trade of leg kicks wow what a  fight what a fight what a fight what a fight fantastic fight to Finish on tonight I think  Toby I agree I agree I mean if I was either of those Lads right now my leg would be  killing me that was a lot of leg kicks they both landed a lot of body shots and they  traded some heavy shots up top both Fighters left Absolut absolutely everything out there  and they should both be proud of themselves made it a difficult
one for the judges as well  well we're about to find out if it really was difficult [Applause] let's hear it from final fight  evening wasn't that a roller coaster fight now without further Ado the  judges have a decision your winner by unanimous decision in the drum roll  please red s Martin [Applause] [Music] DAV [Applause] go [Applause] [Applause] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so now  ladies and gentlemen it's time for me to say goodbye thank you for coming thank you for your  wonde
