hurt you many miracles have been wrought by this scapular you have to be enrolled in it and you have to be you you have to have to put around your neck by the one who enrolls you and all our sisters most of us the old ones anyway were enrolled when we had our first communion you put around your neck see like this and you wear it you say that's a Superstition uh uhuh don't say that our lady herself gave it to St Simon stock I'm going to read this to you beside that when she appeared to the childr

that if you wear this little gular this brown material she will protect you and she will give you many many many Graces a friend of ours in the last war had this scapular on not this one but one like it and suddenly he he within a hole and he realized he didn't have his scapular and things were very hot there was bombs and bullets and everything else going around and he decided I'm going to look for that scapular he got out of that hole and he started crawling on his stomach trying to find the s
capular and he found it the moment he found his scapular the hole he was in blew up and he would have been blown up with it see so there's many many miracles now I am not don't say Mother Angelica promised me a miracle I didn't I did not promise anybody a miracle but I am saying see our dear Lord doesn't ask us to do big things look at this he said if you give a cup of cold water you get a great reward what's a cup of water but he didn't say water did he he said cold water I thought that's great
nothing like tiid water oh oh you can put a lemon in it you can do anything it's terrible and he knew that so he said coold you mean you got to make an effort to go way down that well and get the very cold water and bring it up and what do you get a reward for what a couple want it you know what gets me about the scripture a lot of they get me about the scripture but this one says if you receive a prophet because he is one listen to this you get a prophet's reward look that Prophet goes through
a prophet is criticized a prophet is hated a prophet is oh he had nothing nobody likes him and he keeps fighting for the Lord and fighting for the Lord he doing all of that and you get the same reward just for accepting him I think God is so good and he asks us little thing so it itches SW it's not as bad as [Applause] Purgatory all of my sisters there were about seven of the sisters young sisters who were not enrolled in fact when they came they didn't know what we were talking about that kind
of gripes me we live in a church has awesome awesome sacramentals and you even know body these little things you get a big reward for something that's small this is one of them now this is a little itchy it's wo now God is good the church is good they understand how weak we are he said you can put a little piece of plastic on it but I think you're chicken if you do but that's okay if if you can't take the itch get the plastic but it must be brown and it must be around your neck now they have Me
tals for those of you that are mostly vain oh maybe you can't have any around your neck maybe you're allergic to wo whatever they got a medal for you I was on Retreat Sunday we take a a day of month and I like to go on Sunday because it's a quiet day for me and I just sit there with the Lord all day I figure I'm not going anywhere and he's not going anywhere so we just sit there together and I started reading a little bit about St James I never was never attracted to St James in his epistle beca
use it seemed to me kind of harsh but when I got my wonderful naara Bible I thought oh I suddenly began to love St James because he had the whole spiritual life figured out the entire one I just want to read a few things to you that I thought were I was enthused over and I think it's a dawon and if I lost my place I'm going to die right here where am I oh come on ah here we go there we go now it says here we're talking about suffering that has a lot to do with the scapular a lot because all of u
s hate it we hate suffering we don't understand why we have it we don't understand anything about it and so we run away from it as much as possible well says here in St James official commentary says human suffering has a Redemptive value when born in Union with Jesus let's for example think that you have have a headache well you can take an aspirin you can take anything you want for it and many times it just doesn't go away now there's two things you can do you can be very angry you can be angr
y at God why do I have a headache I've got so much to do or you could say Jesus I unite this headache with your crown of thorn all the pain you had head when you were crowned with thorns oh when I was in where was I now had to be Ecuador yes Ecuador and uh this woman had us for dinner and she had the most beautiful painting on the wall I ever saw I wanted to ask her for it but I have the courage I mean you can't meet somebody in two days asking for their paintings you know what I mean you can't
so I had Gustavo uh take a snapshot but didn't come out too good but this was the painting it was a a little pillar and our Lord was lying down and his head was on the cement and he was whole back with bleeding and there were little angels one was on his near his head and he had a little blue thing around him and and he was wiping his eyes his tears with his little blue gwn and the other Angel was horrified and he was going like that and then right behind our Lord our Lord's hands were tied and
right be behind our Lord with a tiny little angel and he was going he kissed the little the the index finger of Our Lord I it was to me one of the most touching pictures I ever saw and and then the other Angels were kind of putting the blood that had spilled on the floor in a chalice it it was it awesome awesome and and I I I realized you know that if I unite my back Gates which are always there and and I say Lord I unite my aches and pains to your aches and pains when you were scourged you real
ize what happens huh you unite all your suffering to Jesus and that's all you had to do and the father looks down at your little headache or your little backache and he so he puts it all on Jesus and together it's Redemptive sufferings see that's what it says you now I wanted to read you this because it should give all of you that have pain it doesn't matter what kind of pain sometime living with somebody is a pain maybe living with you is a pain and no matter how holy we are or how how well we
get along together there are times we're just a pain in an to each other and you can't help it you can't help it you like one thing and they like something else the other day we got beans we have a a little farm and and we're raising our own stuff it tastes different and and it's better but anyway Here Comes This purple bead I never saw a purple bead in my life and I said what is that is said the purple beat I know that but what is it it's a purple be I said I know I can see it's a purple be wha

in a can you know and they don't come Frozen either so here's this PE and I start putting it down and here it opened up with beautiful green inside and I said Peet and they said no they're beets I said they're peets look like bead to me I said did you ever see a bean with a black dot in the center no B at the pee well they were called blackeyed pee and Southerners love black ey PE in the north you don't know what you're busy cuz you have the little green piece but we got green piece and we got
black eye piece and there they were so everybody got together and we shed them our and our fingers were all purple and I was excited because God put a Dye I bet you if we were Indians we'd figure out how to use that dye it was awesome and today we had them and they were very good very good but we differed over a pee that looked like a bean now we weren't angry with each other we all ate them and we all enjoy them but life is full full full full of tiny tiny little things that pass Us by and Jesu
s had the same things with these apostles he said well I can't unite something so small to Jesus oh yeah did you ever tell a joke and nobody laughed they're looking at you like well where's the punch light you say you just heard it I a't catch didn't that gripe you I'm talking about a clean joke so give you and and there's a lot of little things see for example I like cream in my coffee no I like coffee and my cream that's how it goes and so I was at on a plan playing one day and I asked the ste
wardess for coffee and I said half coffee half cream she said why do you drink coffee I said to put it in my [Applause] cream why else would you drink coffee but she was night you know she thought H little things happen every day a thousand of and it happened to Jesus with all the apostles in a crowd he said who touched me said you're kidding Lord you got to be kidding there's 5,000 people here how do you what do you say who touch me no said someone touched me because I felt power go out of me a
little thing but they didn't know how to answer it one day he said to them what were we talking about on the way oh I bet they stood on one foot and then another foot and everybody said well there was nothing Lord I mean we were just walking along now he said what were you talking about talking yeah talking well uh it was important I know it wasn't important but was it I said well we were arguing about which one of us was the greatest he had to kind of sigh I think cuz all these years three of
them you know he they children didn't find the least was the greatest the most humble was the greatest and not the one that was on the top and so Jesus had the same problems you have and anything if you miss a bus and you go out and its sun is shining and all of a sudden it begins to pour and you don't have an umbrella and you're soak and wet little things in your life let me tell you what St James says about them and what our Holy Father says about it he said the gospel of suffering call it a g
ospel he calls your suffering and my Suffering The Gospel and he said the gospel of suffering is being written unceasingly it's written everywhere in every heart and every soul the gospel of suffering is being written and he said and it speaks un ceasing with the words of a strange Paradox your suffering and my suffering in the Littest thing and sometimes they're almost insignificant things this morning we went and we made a we went around the house carrying this statue of uh our lady mon Caron
we all had our brand new scapers on and father had prayed over us and we were enrolled those for the first time and all of must many of us over again and the sisters are carrying our lady got so engrossed in the litany they didn't realize that uh sometimes she was going this way and sometimes she was going this way and they I had holy water in one hand and a crutch and another and I'm trying desperately not to notice our lady is gone this way and this way so finally they're walking down and our
lady hits the light went and it's oh we're sorry and she's got a knot on her head no there's nothing she it didn't hurt her at all okay little things oh there nothing things that's what it says it speaks unceasingly and this is the Paradox that our Holy Father talks about the Springs of divine power gush forth gush forth in the midst of human weakness do you realize what he said the Springs of divine power gush forth in our weaknesses why because they are mine they are yours and they we're not h
appy with them we want to get with them and we seem to carry them on our shoulders day after day day after day but his power that's what he said to to Paul he said my power is at its best in your weakness why because when you overcome when you overcome your weaknesses whatever they are that divine power is gushing into you what an awesome reality what an awesome reality that the power of God is cominging into you when you overcome when you're kind and you don't want to be kind when you're patien

at um of course when we called and went to our priest he said no we can't do that um the daughter's 21 years old and U the question that came back to me is that if Jesus were standing there Distributing the communion would he not give it to everyone I'm clueless I've talked to the Deacon I've talked to the priest and and I know where we stand as as Catholics on but can she and and this is 20 year olds with their friends and their peers what does she do um I even suggested going up and folding he
r arms and not receiving communion getting a blessing and she says the lutherans don't do that and they look at you like well you know why won't you well you can't compare to Jesus CU Jesus only communion to the apostles he didn't go out in the streets and say hey everybody this is uh the Last Supper everybody join in he didn't say that it's not right why because when you receive communion in a church you profess their Doctrine that's the problem see you don't understand the problem that's why m
y good brother and brother can't come to the Catholic Church to receive communion because he does not accept the teachings of the church to him it may be a a symbol or maybe def so you you need to belong to the church and you take the communion of that church because that is what you believe and you see your daughter didn't do the right thing because what she said when she went to I believe in this communion well she couldn't be a Catholic and believe in the real presence and then believe he's o
nly symbolically there and I don't really feel I was in that situation one time and I just I just stay there they know that they know and and they know I had nothing to do with my love for them and when they came to mass here I had to say you know you can't receive communion they understood if I love my Protestant brother and he loves me and we do we have to understand each other's differences but love goes beyond and above difference it but it does not go beyond obedience so it has nothing to d
