- [Narrator] Solitaria is on the move. She's seen these winters before. She knows how to turn it to her advantage. The ground crunches underfoot. If she flips a pebble,
the game will be up. Stalking is difficult. So she sticks to the soft
snow, picking her footsteps. The explosion of a light, tawny cat from the dappled snowfield is the last thing the guanacos expect. (roaring) It's confusing and lethal. At least one cub is taking it all in, every moment of the
life and death struggle because one
day this lesson
will make all the difference in her life. It's time to name her, too. A beautiful huntress, La Bella Cazadora, albeit in the first stages of learning. Because of this closeness, Cazadora will grow just a little larger with each mouthful she forces
down while the others play. The rule of the valley is that those who get even
the slightest edge, survive. In a competitive family,
the one that figures out the best spot to absorb
free heat wins the day. And it's usually Cazadora.

The cubbies have such adorable faces....they are so cute!
She fought hard for that meal; and took a couple of injuries too, I believe.
That thing is massive, one wrong move and the puma gets a broken bone and probably dies from being unable to hunt
The strong neck of the Guanaco moving like a crazy hose, hitting the cat against the ground, is something that must be faced if they want to eat every day. That is the law of Wild life.
no need to make it overdramatic, it's stunning and faszinating as it is.

What is not to like about this majestic cat and its hunting prowess? First-rate video capture of predator and prey along with a learning audience. I doff my hat to the videographer and production crew. Narrator was sultry spot on.
That was a huge meal. She is a skillful hunter.
Those other two cubs playing are probably males training to fight for their life in the future

Omg she is absolutely BEAutiful! Felines are my favorite of God's creation.. Look how she took down prey 3 times her own weight and size, as if it was a game. Just WOW!
