my magical shop is almost ready to stock 📦

it's all official guys your girls open in a shop you did not paint my ass we have to take this up the whole ceiling yeah oh my God we've got all the wood in yeah everything's slowly coming together good morning welcome back today is the 26th of February I've been up since halfast 6 this morning Leslie is due down pretty sure he's actually been up since half 4 he's traveling down from Scotland we got a full week of renovation to do together there's quite a few things to update you on this week an

d I cannot wait to show you guys when we're down there we have completely finished the ceiling the shelving is almost done with we're going to be doing the cabinet doors this week we have a lot of painting to do we have an electrician coming down today so I need to take all of the lighting fixtures down which I haven't unboxed yet they are going to be beautiful they are going to be glass star pendants it also means that I think I have to take my ceiling Medallion down because that's going to nee

d fitting as well which is going to be really weird seeing that put on the ceiling so yeah we have a lot going on it's busy busy busy full steam ahead let's head down to the shop and show you what's what wait hold on a gosh on minute I almost forgot to show you something really exciting this little box this arrived the other week I feel like you're going to love these I saw these and I gasped I was like they're beautiful these are all business cards a oh my God can we talk about can we talk abou

t the foiling can we can we just everybody take a moment for this amazing business card it's stunning I even bought a business card holder for them and it's perfect it goes with the theme of the shop we've got some nice dark Rustic Woods we've got gold anyway I just wanted to interrupt and show off our business cards Let's Roll [Music] we're back in B&Q I basically live here now they should start charging me rent we've just come to get our cupo doors all cut they have saved us so much time they'

ve cut everything precisely for us he's hoping that Leslie has measured things very precisely and they fit we will find out we've got the electrician down at the moment sorting all of the electrics out in the in the ceiling it's just just go go go okay it is time just testing it is time to clean coat and weatherproof our shop sign take it away take it away you ready yep the wind okay we've moved into the garage it was too windy we're well ventilated we've got my garage door open oh it's beautifu

l morning 27th of February we had the electrician down yesterday there are lots of wires hanging from my beautiful ceiling he's had to put a few holes in uh speaking of ceiling we have finally completed shout out to my other half we finally finished it I reckon we've put around 25 to 30 hours into this entire ceiling stippling it by hand but as you can see super beautiful very happy with how it turned out you see behind me right now that we've got all of our shelves on yesterday we went down to

B&Q we got a lot of wood cut down to size cuz we're going to be having our doors on the bottom which is one of today's tasks we are going to be screwing those to the shelving course got a lot of painting to do which is quite exciting something a bit new obviously we've painted the ceiling but I'm excited to paint something that is not up there I no longer want to be up there but let me show you around and show you what's new so here are our shells that we poured our Blood Sweat and Tears into I

have also gone ahead and filled some of the gaps which I'll be sanding down today today but yes the lower shelves are going to have cupboards on and speaking of cupboard doors here's all our wood so this is our pile of to-do today so we're just about to show you our main centerpiece chandelier we've got some of different sizes but this is the big boy Do not drop it is made out of glass give me a second oh pretty so this is one of one of many how many we' got six we have six six or seven of these

to go with our beautiful night sky but oh my my God just imagine a light bulb in there imagine these like a cluster of them in the center we'll have one above the cashier desk as well on today's power tool segment of learning how things work an electric sander looks like an iron I've already put on this little it's like a velcro piece of sandpaper let's just get sand in I'll show [Music] you we've gone from rough to smooth all of our sanding is done it was pretty fun actually using an electric

sander next is to paint so I've just swept off all the debris off these putting some paper down underneath the proper plastic tarping by the way we have been using Tarpin since uh my first lesson learned which was cover your nice new floor but yeah so we're going to be trying to paint today these are going to be a nice kind of chocolatey vintage Brown I feel like we've been quite optimistic today we want to get all of these painted all of the doors on but we'll see we've got all the hinges on it

's give me half an hour to get in we going there try to put on our fashionable suits get in there I feel like my mine's too small I got to stop doing things like that this is the color that we're going for Coco Loco Coco Loco it's like a dark brown um matte as well I think we just get on with it oh God it's exciting it is exciting I think it's going to transform my shelf [Music] n okay it's been about 4 hours um looking very fashionable my hands just we don't talk about that we've got we've mana

ged to get two coats on this side if I can show you it it's not dry yet but the color of it ignore the bottoms they're going to have doors on which we're going to paint but if you look just there they're going to be like a chocolatey Brown it's looking good we're very happy are you tired now I'm ready for bed there's no bed yet which I'm getting some fresh air here we've still got to put the doors on paint those go home for dinner maybe come back but oh my God I need a new spine I need a new spi

ne but I will say this paint looks like those caby pots of Joy I want to lick it I'm not going to I'm not going to give into the impulsive thoughts but I do want to lick it anyway we're just paint paint painting more to go okay 6:46 in the evening we've spent the full day painting we're now to some very exciting at least I'm very excited about it check this out we made a do this is our first do don't look in there that's for staff only but this is a little bit of extra storage we don't have the

biggest store room here so we are taking advantage of our shop floor and designing some storage into here but it feels really nice I can't take full credit in fact I probably can't take any credit that would be Leslie it looks lovely we got painting tomorrow but for now we've got all these to do oh [Music] God morning it's 28th February the next day um oh our bodies hurt today every muscle every fiber of our beings we were here for 12 hours working for 12 hours yesterday this is all dried the to

p bits of the Shelf uh the bottom bits need a second coat but they are looking good today we are putting a second coat on the bottom of all of these getting that door on sorry that's all right I'm in a construction Workshop it's fine um and then the second job is obviously we have two lots of shelves as you can see here these ones still need painting it's going to be a little bit harder I think because we have white wall behind here whereas we had a dark of color over there so I think it might t

ake a few more coats but we bought two more pots of paint last night and got a few little bits that we needed but yeah it is just another full day all day at the shop um I'm not going to lie it is exhausting but and I know a lot of you guys have said in I think episode one you like why don't you just hire people to do this it's very expensive to hire like joiners and painted decorators and all that kind of thing but secondly this this our shop and we want to put all of our kind of love Blood Swe

at and Tears into it so that we feel that sense of accomplishment and I think it gives it that little extra bit of magic but yeah we want it to feel like it's ours you ready to crack on I'm ready let's do this that close to the blade I was like a INE it is time to s [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] beautiful we our beautiful fitted door what did we have to do why did we cut make that little cut you have to make the perfect little corner yeah and it is perfect so we've got all of our cupboar

ds on the side need to go and re well paint that one and then put a second coat on all the bottom ones let's do good it's finally looking like a shop like ignore the white cabinet things that's going to make our cental Island and our till area they're going to be covered and painted probably same color as the cupboards but I'm seeing like shop we've done all of this as well hello Leslie yeah we've still got to paint all the cupboards down there but that's those are our haunted Cupboards in the L

ost cauldron uh we're still yet to to get magnets to keep them shut they should be arriving later today Honestly by the end of today 24 hours painting we've done over the last two days sadly oh my God everything by hand but it looks good but yeah we're really pleased with the progress of the shop it's it's starting to look like a shop which is really good anyway let's get cleaning okay God I've not had a Henry for years but here he is a little vacuum now get to work work let's turn Henry on oh G

od not not that kind of Channel work we're going to be a while see a bit a miracle has happened so we got some tape stuck on the floor I got this from home this is called sticky stuff remover so I got it for that and I was like you know what I am going to test spot this on the gold stuff on the floor this is a miracle if you missed out in episode one I got a load of gold gilding wax on our beautiful brand new laminate flooring and honestly felt very guilty about it this stuff wipes it off with e

ase I can't believe it I'm C that smacked let me show you okay so you can see this gold that's not meant to be there so I'm just going to give that a tiny little spray let it do its thing for a second and then with a microfiber cloth look oh my God it just comes off oh my God yes I'm so happy good morning today sponsored by coffee we are exhausted we've basically been painting for 24 hours over the past 2 days today's pretty exciting we've got Mark who's our flooring specialist returning to us c

uz he's actually got 20 years joinery experience he's going to help us fit and cut more importantly cuz we did not want to F this up we need to cut the countertops for our central island which is going to be our like candle centrer Island and then our cashier desk so we're going to have like proper wooden tops fitted fingers cross today Leslie is going back to Scotland today which leaves the next 2 weeks before he returns for me to get a little bit more painting done especially on the back walls

but we're really looking forward to going today to see our dry shelves and hopefully they don't need too many touch-ups it really is starting to look like shop and feel really good but yeah let's go get some countertops fitted after coffee though after coffee after coffee after coffee okay we're back uh these shelves which is the second lot of dry there's a few touchups not the cheeky cauldron in the corner just a little one I do need to touch up the edges of the doors but check this out we'll

just do a little pan ignore the back walls but we have our shop shelves with all of the storage now today we've got this Center Island this is all going to be painted but we have our tops here you can't see them they're all wrapped but this is like a dark dark wood dark than the floor and they're going to go on top of here hopefully we're going to get them all fixed and all sorted really excited because it really is starting to really take shape in here all of the back walls going to be painted

brown oh it's so like dark Academia I'm obsessed we have just got back to the shop Mark has just left he is beautifully thick our countertops we do still need to buy some edging for this to make it all match but oh my God look at it it's so pretty he's also done the till era as well so we have one of these over there that matches too and we're just seeing all the color things come together this is going to be painted a matte black uh we're also going to be building some structure on the front of

this so it kind of matches our shelving it's coming together guys any anyway um that's what we're doing today but I will see you in a second it's not going to be a second for me though bye good morning it's the 6th of March how are we in March uh today I'm here at the shopone and I may have just had a little cry because we've got some of the lighting put up see this kind of gold bar and they're on dimmer switches I don't have the dimmer bulbs in them yet but I turned them on for the first time

let me show you boom obviously this isn't all of our lighting we're not putting the pendants in just yet but yeah it just gave me a really emotional moment that it's starting to look like a real professional place I've got a few things on my to-do list today um first things first there is dust everywhere I'm talking everywhere like you can kind of see a layer of it it's over all the beautiful shells that we painted cuz obviously we've had the electrition in that's been drilling holes in the ceil

ing my beautiful ceiling but it's done a cracking job we've had some access points up here which is going to be for our CCTV got them in a lot of the corners as well as our sound systems so those need to be networked next week camera and Chris is coming to help do that cuz he's very very techy and good at networking and today my goal is I have just done this off camera but this is from the previous people that were here they've kind of put this gauze over it's like G and poly filler almost it's

pretty unsightly now we are going to be making an apothecary kind of shelving unit here so it doesn't have to be perfect but I have just gone ahead and sanded all of that to make it a little bit smooth but my first job of the day is all of that dust I can't paint when there's that much dust so I'm going to get my Henry Hoover do all that get some more dust sheets down and start painting I did start some painting last time but yeah the goal today is to get all this back wall from green to this lo

vely Brown I'm just going to put some music on and just get on with it I kind of work well on my own so I'm to to crack on and then the other plan of action today is we didn't manage to paint our cupboard edges the edges where the hinges are um so I've got some smaller paint brushes with me today and I'm going to paint those so yeah let's get going [Music] I think I'm going to finish there today I've managed to get the back walls painted they're still drying so if they look patchy that's why um

but hopefully when they're fully dried it should be nice and even I'm a bit of a clean freak and it's um hard to have dust and stuff everywhere there's a lot of like things here at the moment that I don't want here like all of this kind of makes me sad but I tell you what it does make me happy the spotlights um it's looking like a shot let me let me let me show you okay so I'm standing at the door I've got all the shelving um obviously this till area doesn't belong there this is all going to be

painted a different color and have some surrounding on it but um yeah it's really good obviously we have all our chandeliers going but oh it's looking like a shop it's looking like a shop and it's making me smile um yeah it's really coming together now good morning everybody it's the 12th of March and today me and Leslie are in the shop because we are put in the decorative pieces onto our lower cabinets which are going to transform them into an array of Apothecary drawers uh let me just show you

where we're at at the moment say hi Leslie um this is what we're doing so these are going to look like drawers we're going to have like little metal name tags of on them and then the fun part for me is I get to handwrite all the labels to what's in the drawers so like unicorn fur dragon scales so that kind of thing but yeah so we're sticking them all on today we're then going to give them a liquor paint and then hopefully get the metal thingies on as well so it's it's a lot how many how many pi

eces are there 400 400 so we've got a bit of a thing going where I'm gluing all the pieces LLY sticking them on and making sure they're in the right places so it's going well so let's crack on with that is it looking wony yes it actually is it no it isn't so what we've decided to do we've decided to take a couple off and we're going to make them look like 3D drawers like they're just coming out and filled them with things like moss and other Whimsical fantasy based things so we're going to do th

ose last we're just picking where they're going to go so it's going to look so cool when it's done but this is where we're at at the moment it is 5:00 p.m. we've had a busy day we've actually been doing interviews on and off all day but between knows we've been doing our Apothecary cabinets and they're looking good we're about to do the drawers but let me just give you a little update okay so all of our cabinets have now got these they're going to be painted brown but all of our cabinets now hav

e these on and they're going to look so good when they're finished you got to use your imagination at this point but yeah they're going to look good it's going to look so Whimsical say hello hello we are currently making our little drawers you can see the vibe we're going for imagine those stuffed with like moss mushrooms yes oh they look so cute from the side I can't wait to see them painted with all the little metal bits and it's full on DIY craft here you look like having a good time I'm lovi

n go in it's just going to make this a lot more simple um so I'm just doing all the measuring quite now which I quite like doing actually measuring but yeah it's actually working really well um I'm making two this is the second one cuz we do have different sized drawers on either side of the shop a little tip bit that you probably won't notice but thank you and on gently gently T oh dear health and safety oh yeah there's plenty of that the lost cldr at the moment there will be plenty when we're

n here cuz it's very light so it's it's not going to fall on anyone they always look like they're made out of stone but it's a very light poyene foam thing oh this is where we run out is it one minute perfect that's what we're talking about thank God we had that spare okay so right wait wa wait wait I'm not sticking it yet this this corner this way a bit no this about smashing oh this is so n- wracking okay just hold it okay right oh my God just don't push it just hold it oh it's held it's prett

lean we do have one bit of painting left to do in here and a lot of cleaning but apart from that we're done we're 99% done on the shop floor except just getting all the rubbish out of here um so let's do a bit of a clean it's not going to be the full clean but we want to go what time is it now 6:00 p.m. uh so an early one for us an early finish um but yeah let's do some [Music] cleaning right what's the DAT Friday the 15th of March we are stood in our 95% completed renovated magical shop we're g

oing to stop here cuz the next task of ours is to paint the front of the shop and then I do believe we're almost on to stocking I cannot believe how far we've come let's getting exciting exciting yeah how how have you felt about this entire renovation process so far hard work work got worth it it's been so hard like I feel like maybe not on my personal Instagram stories but maybe in these Vlogs I've underplayed how really physically demanding and exhausting doing a project like this is like this

is the biggest thing I've personally ever done in my life um we have basically made this entire shop from scratch from scratch by hand these little hands your little hands um yeah we've made everything think like we've poured Blood Sweat and Tears literally I can say that now people have had some accidents little ones that have CA some blood I have definitely cried at least twice in this shop uh once when I finished the ceiling cuz it was such a relief cuz it took 30 hours and then the second t

ime was when I saw one of the bar lights come on for the first time you weren't here for that um there's been a lot of sweat in here as well so yeah I can say Blood Sweat and Tears has gone into the last cauldron and a lot of magic like we walk in now um I feel really proud I do um I walk in here now and go I want to shop in here and the fact that it's our shop yeah it's better than I thought it was going to be like we had a really amazing Vision vision for this shop and I think we it's exceeded
