what's good everybody this is CP and welcome back to my NBA
fantasy series if this is your first time here be sure to check out my
fantasy playlist with the link below and find out about potential sleepers
undervalued players and some you might want to avoid drafting too early this
year today I'll be talking about fantasy players who might want to target in very
deep keeper or dynasty leaks in fact these players fantasy stock might be the
cheapest there will ever be for a long long time as their
fantasy Valley has a
chance to significantly increase over the next two to four years for example
if you drafted or traded for Yanis under the Kubo back in 2013-14 you would have
benefited from one of the biggest fantasy returns in the past four years
during that time we saw a Yanis gradually improved from being a player
that only averaged six point eight points a game to becoming a top 10
fantasy player and one of the most dominant players in the NBA today I'm
not saying that any of the player
s on this list will be the next honest unto
the cumple but nonetheless they might have the potential to give you a nice
return on investment especially if you are thinking long term and want to give
your team a chance to gradually improve and be competitive for the next three to
five years so without further ado let's get it Trey Yang was one of the most
hyped prospects heading into the 2018 NBA draft he had a very successful
freshman year in college and is now one of the more high end prospects
heading
into the NBA some analysts has even gone out to say that his closest NBA player
comparison of Steph Curry but if you look at his playing style skillset and
deep brain shooting ability you can definitely see some similarities
obviously it'll be a tall order for young to have the exact same type of
career as curry but if anything he might turn out to be a poor man's version of
him which isn't such a bad thing considering how Steph is one of the best
players of this generation so you have
young can be 60 or 70% as good as curry
it would still make him a pretty decent fantasy guard to build your team around
the Atlanta Hawks seems to be sold on this kid and will likely give him every
opportunity to seed in the next two to three years this
makes young one of the more polarizing young guards to keep an eye on or stash
for the future Lowry marking it as another fantasy player you might want to
draft or trade for as soon as possible yes he is already a top 50 fantasy
player and had a
very impressive rookie season averaging 15 point two point
seven point five rebounds and over two trays per game more impressively he did
all that as a twenty-year-old and despite being so young there were
several instances where he looked like a 10 year NBA fan I think everyone was
blown away by his athleticism and his Elite shooting ability for a 7-footer
being so young he still has plenty of time to find consistency with his shot
and improve his defensive stats and yep he is able to figure th
ose things out
early on in this career he could be a major problem for teams around the NBA
on this list marketin is one of those players who looks like he has superstar
potential and can possibly be a top 20 to top 10 fantasy player in the next few
years no doubt the finisher looks like a key piece of the Chicago Bulls going
forward and I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a top 5 power forward in the
NBA very soon Wendell Carter jr. is another Chicago Bulls player you should
keep an eye on if
you want a big man with potential to be a very dominant
player in the paint standing at 610 with a 7-3 wingspan and
a 257 pounds carter has the physique to hold his own against most big men in the
NBA according to some scouting reports Carter is described as a skilled big man
with great hands of powerful frame and outstanding rebounding abilities he also
has the length timing and instinct to get into passing lanes and blocking many
of his opponents shots if his game is able to translate at the
NBA level he
could be one of the most intriguing young defensive centers to emerge in the
next few years like marketing the bull should give Carter plenty of
opportunities to develop as the team's franchise center Yahoo already has
Carter junior ranked as a top five fantasy player and he hasn't even played
a single game in the NBA yet so it seems like a lot of people believe he could
turn into something special therefore i wouldn't sleep on Carter jr. for too
long and might even consider buying
in on him
before his draft stock becomes too expensive
Frank Neil Akina is another promising young player who could emerge as one of
the premier two-way guards in the NBA in the near future he did not put up crazy
stats as an NBA rookie but if you watch him play you would have seen a lot of
potential in this game one thing that stood out was his defense as a 19 year
old he has shown that he could guard some of the best players in the NBA and
with more experience and fine tuning he will only cont
inue to get better which
gives him a chance to be one of the top shut down defenders in the league aside
from his defense he also has the skillset to make a positive impact on
the offensive end of the floor standing at 660 latina is a first tower guard who
can score in multiple ways he has decides to shoot over smaller players
the ax fled a system to take it to the rack and an excellent jump shot to knock
down threes as well his court vision and playmaking abilities are a bit
underrated but with
more time and experience he has a shot in becoming the
Knicks primary ball handler and starting point guard his per 100 possessions
that's already song averaged 13.5 points five rebounds 7.3 assists and almost two
steals per game so assuming that he starts hitting the three ball with more
consistency along with an increased usage rate Neela Keenan could be a stat
sheet stuffer at the point guard position but even if he doesn't become a
great offensive player his elite defense alone should keep
him on the floor it is
the most important thing a player needs in fantasy basketball at this point I
would stash him and see what type of stats he can put up when New York
actually gives him a chance to start which might be as early as this season
Kevin Knox is another gifted young talent on the New York Knicks you should
have on your watchlist he was a high pick for the Knicks at the 2018 NBA
draft and looks to be someone who can make a big impact on the team really
soon standing at 69 with a w
ingspan close to 7 feet Knox has the tools to be
a dominant combo forward in the NBA he is a fluent athlete who can finished
above the rim and is an excellent transition scorer who can guard multiple
positions on top of all that he has great handles and a decent stroke which
makes him a threat to score from beyond the arc some people have even said that
his game somewhat resembles Yanis especially when he's on the attack in
addition to others have said that his handles and
dribbling skills somew
hat resembles Paul George as well at this point Knox is a
raw talent with a lot of untapped potential and it is likely that the
Knicks will try to work him into the lineup and see what him and porzingis
can do in the near future it's hard to say how long Knox would take to develop
at the NBA level but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a significant
fantasy impact in his rookie season according to Yahoo he is only ranked 168
overall which in my opinion makes him a low-risk high-reward playe
r to go after
I like his upside and his fantasy numbers can significantly improve for
the next two to four years so if you are a bit then that the fourth position Knox
might be someone you want to target right now before it's too late it was a
crazy summer for the Cleveland Cavaliers they lost LeBron again and heading into
2018 19 they will be looking for new players to step up one of those players
might be their 2018 8th overall pick Collin Sexton the 19 year old is coming
into a favorable situ
ation in Cleveland and will get a chance to prove himself
and become the future point guard of the Cavaliers right now he's penciled in
behind George Hill but Hill was 32 years old and might not be a part of the
team's long-term future this opens the door for Sexton to grab the starting
position and potentially be the new face of the franchise
Sexton had a strong showing during summer league averaging 19 points six
points on 48 percent shooting along with 3.6 rebounds and three point four
assist
s with King James gone Cleveland does not look like a desired free agent
destination so it is unlikely that any big-name players will come in and take
away sexton's playing time considering all these factors Sexton has everything
in place to help him become one of the biggest fantasy risers for the next few
years in one of my previous videos I mentioned that Terry Rozier is someone
you might want to avoid drafting too early this year mainly because he will
be delegated back to the bench as the t
eam's backup point guard and his usage
rate will likely suffer due to the return of Kyrie Irving and Gordon
Hayward at the same time this might be a good opportunity to buy low on Rozier in
some of your dynasty and keeper leaks especially if it stats begin to dip
during the first few months of the season owners may be willing to trade
him for 50 cents on the dollar there is still a lot of uncertainty
Kairi will stay in Boston at the same time Rozier only has two years left on
his contract so it
looks like the Celtics will have to decide what to do
about their point guard situation however it's tough to see them keep both
Irving and Rozier on the roster long term as a result I can see Rozier either
being the future starting point guard of the Boston Celtics or being traded away
to become the starter on a new team either way we should see his fantasy
stats significantly increase as we saw last year when Rozier is given minutes
he can put up decent fantasy numbers scary Terry situation is
much like Eric
Bledsoe a few years back when he played behind Chris Paul in Los Angeles after
he got traded Bledsoe immediately averaged over 17 points and five assists
a game and became a top 75 fantasy player so be on the lookout for Rozier
as his career path might be on the same trajectory considering how impressive
some of the players taken into 2017 NBA Draft performed during their rookie
season Jonathan Isaac may be one of the most overlooked players from that class
despite being taken si
xth overall by the Orlando Magic Isaac dealt with injuries
and only played 27 games during his rookie season and didn't put up amazing
stats either but if you watch him play you can tell that the skill set is there
and if he finds a way to put it all together he could be a very special
player for the Orlando Magic one day if we take a deeper look at his stats it
might be a sign of things to come his per 36 minutes stats saw him average
two blocks 2.2 steals along with 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 threes
a game yes it's
a small sample size but he's only 20 years old and will continue to get
better and once he finds a way to score consistently he could be one of the few
young forwards in the league that can put up these 10th fantasy stats in four
or more categories at 6 foot 10 Isaac possesses the rare combination of
lengths of lettuce ISM and skill I'm not saying that he will be as good as Kevin
Durant but you can definitely see some similarities in their game like duran
isaac is an excellent b
all handler for his height can knock down threes put the
ball on the floor and make plays for his teammates however there are some risks
involved with Isaac as he does play for the Orlando Magic a team that doesn't
have a good track record for developing their young players the right way
however I still think he is worth the risk as
upside and potential is simply too good to pass up
Muhammed Baba is another young player on the Orlando Magic you might want a
low-key target especially if you're lo
oking for a potential defensive
monster to build your fantasy team around standing at 7 feet with a 7 foot
9 wingspan in a nine foot six standing reach Bamba is a very mobile player for
his site and has the tools to be an elite paint protector his superb length
gives him a huge rebounding radius and a lot of opportunities to get steals and
disrupt passes his offensive game needs a little bit of work but his shooting
mechanics are not bad for a big man so he should be able to develop a reliable
m
id-range shot at the NBA level finally his most dominant skill might be his
shot-blocking ability in college he averaged an impressive 3 point 7 blocks
per game so he shouldn't have too much trouble being a decent shot blocker at
the NBA level with Nicola foo to fix contract expiring and looks like the
magic expects Bamba to be their starting centre very soon so it might be
worthwhile to stash Bamba as he can turn into one of the best shot blockers and
rebounders in fantasy basketball in the nea
r future Martel folks only played 14
games for the Sixers in his rookie season and hasn't done enough in his NBA
career to be considered a top fantasy guard there are concerns but the
shooting in some wonder if his skill set will ever translate at the NBA level but
at the same time he was a dominant scorer in college and a former number
one pick so the 76ers will likely try to find a
way to implement him into their lineup and give him a chance to max out his
potential before entering the league
many NBA scouts believe folks has
legitimate all-star potential as he is only 20 years old those assumptions
should still hold true in fact Foss has a pretty good chance of breaking out and
being one of the best young players in the NBA within the next two years so
perhaps now is a good time to trade or draft him before his value significantly
increases overall folks as a high-risk high-reward type of fantasy player but
if you are looking for a potential franchise player for your team Folds is
o
ne of the best young players you should take a chance on in the market right now
so that's a look at some players you might want to target in deep keeper or
dynasty leagues as their fantasy value has a chance to significantly increase
over the next for years if you have been enjoying my
NBA fantasy series please show me some love by liking sharing and subscribing
