ut the brand new Joe b3k Pro now guerrilla pods are a classic staple for content creators vloggers and really filmmakers of all kind doing all types of different content and the 3k has been one of my favorite guerrilla pods it's an $80 gorilla pod here in the US it's been out for a while and its plastic construction on the ball joints that are in this guerrilla pod I've used this for years and I love it but one of the things that happens to this is as mirrorless cameras have been kind of slimmin
g down but still kind of having a heavy payload some people have been putting pretty big rigs on this and noticing that over time it is plastic so it can kind of wear down with atmospheric pressure with moisture and so the brand-new 3k was meant to kind of take things that were in the 5k a very high-end premium gorilla pod and give you sort of a long-lasting ultra pro Joby to solve that problem so what we're looking at here is the 3k pro the 3k pro right now is coming in for a price of a hundred
and fifty dollars so pretty pricey for a gorilla pod but the whole thing is machine created aluminum incredibly tight ball joints on there as well as with a new engineered head you've got a much more streamlined plate here so that it doesn't hang over on your mirrorless camera like our 5k does when we're using our a7 3 everything you could tell is very pro constructed as it would be by Joby and the idea here is to make it a 3k that you can use for your a little bit heavier DSLR or mirrorless ca

Finally great to hear they put 3K back in metal. I used their very old DSLR model probably more than a decade ago, full metal and really last for years of abuse and amazing wacky creations until the rubber rings melting off. Then I got the 3K, as you said very disappointed and broke within months. Finally got a 5K, still not comfortable yet, cut its coating away and confirmed metal sockets, great relief! Now if this is metal 3K, I think it worth the price tag as they last really long and do lots of weird jobs than tripods, if you’re creative enough putting them into any situations.

I've been using Joby SLR Zoom which is the old version of 3K for about 3 years since 2017.. I love how strong the Joby is at the very beginning. But time after time the ball joint get loosen which kinda annoying when I put my Mirrorless down to it, it just falling over.. But one thing I really amazed is that the ballhead. The ballhead is extremely powerful, it stands really sturdy.. so Im gonna buy the 3K one without ballhead bcs i already have it
I picked up a 3k at a yard sale last week for $5. I was thrilled to find it. I had been using the smaller Joby model.

Thanks for the info Sean. I ended up getting the Manfrotto Pixi instead of the older Joby due to the plastic going (and it being bulky). This looks and sounds great, but I think the price point is going to stop people wanting to buy it. If the original was £30-50 the new one should be £60-80 which would warrant the use. I think there are a lot less pro vloggers out there vs every day smaller rigged vloggers.
Yes I do use a Joby 5K wrapped around my camera (two arms on each side of the lens but closer to the body, and the last one pushed up to my shoulder or something, or it could just be floating freely. My setup is only around 900grams, but still some of the ball joints are getting kind of loose after a year or less. I bought it without the ballhead as I dont need it for video, and for a hundred bucks it is still worth it.
