[Music] welcome back to good day where we love local and love to show off new local businesses there's a new one in Westgate that will have you remembering long rainy days playing games like trouble or any number of board games at your dining room table Tiffany joins us from flip the table this morning in West Westgate and your grand opening is tomorrow good morning to you Tiffany uh so tell us a little bit about this new business of course yeah so it's kind of like a library where you pay a cov
er charge typical days are $5 um for all day play and then the grand opening is going to be $2 so you have access to over 400 tabletop games um a lot of them are board games but we do have a variety of card games um we have even like mini cornhole um table topics which are just topic conversations so great place to come and catch up with an old friend if you're not a super serious gamer it sounds like a lot of fun and something just to take you back a little bit to your childhood or or just spen
ding time with the family uh so uh tell us why did you all decide to come up with something like this because it seems pretty unique I don't think I know of any other uh business that's like this yeah of course I just feel like um going out with friends especially I always like to have something to do we're hoping to have um like a liquor license in the next few weeks so I'm somebody who likes to have an activity so this gives you a lot of options and also a place we have children's games family
everybody can have fun here um there's a couple in Ohio and a couple in Michigan so if you're super into gaming you can check those out as well um but yeah we just really like games and wanted to provide this for the community yeah love that 400 games that you all have that that are available uh so you talked about uh getting a liquor license uh what about snacks because when I think of sitting at the table gaming having uh you know playing board games you know you can be there a while sometime
s you want a snack so will snacks be available too of course yep we have a big variety of snacks a lot of childhood favorites like Pop-Tarts up to chips um we have a lot of different types of non-alcoholic beverages juices and then yeah eventually when that liquor license comes through we'll have a variety of different alcoholic drinks as well yeah it sounds so like so much fun so I'm assuming since there are 400 uh games board games there uh there are different categories so when it comes to gr
oup settings uh can you reserve uh a large group a small group maybe you just want to do a date night is that available we currently aren't doing reservations right now but that is something we want to implement especially with large groups um and we can accommodate that um but yeah we we have two-seater tables four-seater tables and a lot of it's going to be first come first serve sounds like a really good time uh so uh talk to us a bit too uh with these board games I know sometimes uh for me u
h Frank can introduce a board game and I don't understand it will you guys have any like lessons or anything like that or will people be there to maybe explain or walk you through certain board games since there are so many definitely yeah we'll have um game tryouts where we have somebody who can come explain the game kind of teach you the ropes so that you can do it on your own um also some of the staff will know some of the games I can't say that we'll know all 400 of them but should be able t
o help decipher instructions I'm also very like overwhelmed when it comes to learning a new board game so we'll have nights where there will be a theme for specific games where you can come learn them um and every game kind of has a spot on our website so if you go to flip the table Toledo do.com we have all separated based on two player three player if it's a strategy game if it's more of a luck game you can find everything there yeah love that so uh like you said there are different categories
so much uh to choose from uh so the grand opening is tomorrow so uh when it comes to those hours uh after this grand opening event uh what can people look forward to when it com comes to uh coming out to flip the table Yeah so the grand opening Saturday 3:00 to midnight and then um I believe Sunday is Easter so we'll start on the following Thursday our hours will be Thursday and Friday evening and then Saturday and Sunday um also listed on our website and there'll be $5 all day play and we hope
