n there they did amazing I mean unbelievable two of the best wide receivers in this draft class and I still think Jaden Daniels is the best quarterback as well I would take him number one overall but again all three players are going to have fantastic careers in the NFL and let's not forget I think LSU could have an argument about being wide receiver you over the past 10 or 12 Seasons uh they definitely could uh absolutely do that and I saw Joe also that he's going to meet with this is Jaden Dan
iels he's going to meet with the V the Pats Washington Giants Vikings Broncos and Raiders uh after the pro day today so those six teams Joe uh are there to meet with Daniels uh we've got a couple there obviously in the second and the third spot you got a couple a little bit further down the line a few that maybe would have to trade up to get him uh but that maybe gives you a couple breadcrumbs Joe on who has the most interest uh in Jaden Daniels so far yes absolutely I mean the Raiders I mean is
a is a great fit but they're so far back that they would have to pull off a Monumental trade to get him and I I just don't see that I don't see him fitting with Shawn pyton or the Denver Broncos I think if you're Washington you pull the pull the trigger on Jaden Daniels to be your quarterback of the future and if you're New England as well if you do trade up from three to two it's a perfect fit the problem is is that you need a multitude of weapons around Jaden Daniels in New England in Washing
ton at least you have Terry mclen and Brian Robinson there's some pretty good weapons there for Jaden Daniels to work with there certainly is uh here's the other thing that uh came down in the last couple hours Joe that I wanted to start with you today and this uh this would affect you a lot because you actually really like betting on college player props uh Joe gets very involved I mean you saw him uh what was that with the national champ with the Michigan game Joe uh Donovan Edwards you had I
made every I mean college player props have been very good uh to Joe in the past but Joe you had the president of the NCAA today Charlie Baker uh come out and basically say he'd like to see college player props taken off the board everywhere now they're not available everywhere right now Joe as you know only several States uh do have the college player props there uh in the market but uh he doesn't want it to be at all sports betting issues are on the rise across the country prop betting continu
ing to threaten the integrity of competition and leading to student athletes and professional athletes getting harassed nca's been working with states to deal with these threats and many are responding by Banning college player props uh such as Ohio Vermont and Maryland Joe uh so they're looking for everybody uh to protect the student athletes Joe uh not just from uh the obviously the getting harassed and it's funny that that baker has that in there because I watched a clip of Jason Tatum I gues
s it was this morning or yesterday or whatever just now on on X talking about how he hears it from the crowd all the time shoot another three get another rebound do this do that uh I'm sure that the college kids hear it uh as well Joe in fact I don't have to be sure I know they probably hear it as well well globalization of sports gambling will bring that I mean here's the problem though Charlie breaker and the NCAA should get ahead of the nil before they get ahead of this I mean they you let th
e nil run rampant the Integrity of the game is already compromised with nil and high school athletes being potentially paid with bags of cash before they even step foot on a football field in college so why don't you worry about that first and then you could worry about the prop ATS secondary I I gotta tell you Joe I look this is not something that obviously clearly affects me because in New York we do not have them uh I've never had to deal with them I don't have them in New York I'll tell you
when the president of the NCA comes out I I could see them Maybe not immediately but I think that down the road he might get his way here uh and you could see those go by the wayside I think you've seen a couple of States already start to do it uh I think that this is something where they're going to play ball and play nice with the NCAA uh as kind of a meet in-the-middle situation Joe and uh I could absolutely see this happening whether it's six months a year year and a half whatever it is I co
uld see it eventually going yeah if that's the case then who's to say it doesn't happen or they don't make a push for the uh professional sports right I mean once you once you have one Domino drop it's easier said than done and you know the books might say hey yeah well we'll do it and then all of a sudden now you're already halfway there to taking off all the props and then guess what there goes your Revenue so you better be careful about what you wish for I'm just saying I I don't I think that
's a whole another egg to crack when you start talking about the the pros why you got Jason T I know that we're in the world of nil but I I do think it's a little different with the college kids I I just do I think it's a little bit different I'm not advocating for them to do this showe I wouldn't leave them up whatever it is it's no problem with me but I'm just saying I think there's a little bit of a difference uh between the college kids and the pros they're not technically paid uh profession

ady numerous states that don't allow College props to begin with already right so I I won't I I'm not going to argue with you that eventually I think this is the the the road they're going to want to take up but right now there's an overreaction and a little bit of an over over panic and it's a little bit the fault of the of the gaming companies similar to the DFS era in which you can only hit people over the head so much with something before they're going to either get tired of getting hit in
the head about it and or start complaining about getting hit in the head over I don't have a problem like listen I've been betting on sports a long time I've been betting on sports since 1981 82 all right so I've seen a lot of U of changes along the way it's Overkill let's just call it out for what it is if if if an average fan is watching an NBA game they don't care what the in-game number is all right they don't care they don't need to see it like 25 times a game they don't need to see it on h
alf the screen if you want that you watch shows like this you watch networks uh like this I think the sports books have have shoved it down people's throats so much and I think the leagues have done it as well so then you're going to get this sort of backlash but that being stated this little backlash is also a great overreaction because anybody that knows anything knows that legalization is the best sunlight on anything Point Blank right you want all right all right ban College props all right

a shock cver uh what what what what a shock uh representative Paul uh tonco plans to introduce a safe B aim at regulating the sports betting industry by limiting advertising so that's that's what you call communism Carver that's anti- capitalism right there so let me just go over the legalities of this so you're going to ban advertising is this the United States of America still limiting and imposing deposit restrictions so you're going to tell me how much money I can spend when I go to a movie
and buy popcorn I'll deposit as much effing money as I want into a sports book okay and you're not going to stop me um Banning the use of credit cards oh yeah that's going to go over well like if you're a politician good idea to take on the credit card compy compies Carver because they have no power prohibiting the use of artificial intelligence and tracking gambling habits and creating betting markets and oh yeah he wants access to see if people are gambling too much so invasion of privacy oh

ing an outstanding job this week on newswire getting you ready for the start of the MLB season which of course is tomorrow earlier today on newswire Craig talked to Orioles Executive Vice President general manager Mike ellias Elias about the acquisition of Corbin Burns here is Craig well we were looking for a rotation upgrade ideally um you know it's everybody wants to have an ace but you know you don't have to it's it's a nice thing to have and it's you know it's definitely a very efficient way
of improving your whole roster but they're hard to get your hands on so um you know we were looking for ways to upgrade our rotation and uh we knew that given the quality of our farm system and given some of the market disparities in in free agency and in baseball and where Baltimore kind of Falls in on that spectrum that our best ability to go out and get an impact starter would probably come in the trade format so very early in the off season right after the World Series ended and the off sea
son started we started contacting teams that looked like they might have a Frontline starter going to the trade market Corbin Burns is right at the top of the list and uh the problem was that we didn't know if the Brewers were going to want to trade them or not and um you know early in the offseason I don't think they were sure either but they went out and made some other moves and um we waited we talked to some other teams but it wasn't clear whether those players were going to be traded either
and towards the end of the off season I think the Brewers were in a spot where they were comfortable at least entertaining trading a guy like Corbin Burns but they wanted certain things back first of all they wanted a lot of value back but also major leue ready players there you go uh melas with with Craig there honestly uh Joe I'm surprised not favorites again after getting Burns uh to win the AL East I know the Yankees are up there now uh Orioles are going to be very good again this year all
