I have been talking about Paal konchu, tell me how is the Paalparotta? Both of you are having it for the first time, right? It is nice. Really good taste. Delicious. He is saying it is super. A place with a nice vibe that we can go with our friends to spent our evenings. Or else you can go with your family and enjoy the nature in a spot with a nice vibe. We have come this this place of vibe today. Faizal introduced us to this place. He told us that his cousin has recently started managing a spot
called 98 Kadavu. He asked us to just come here and try the tasty food here. That is how we got here. Next to the shop they have a jetty. This might be the reason behind the name. the moment we reached here we realized we have come here before to do a video. But the name of the shop was Puzhakadavu back then. The place was filled with vibe as there were water violets in the river back then. Now there aren’t any water violets here. It is around sunset now. There is a ferry in the jetty now. Peop
le along with their vehicles are getting down. We have Faizal and Bibu along with me today. Both are my friends. We are here at 98 kadavu restaurant. We can go inside and check if they have any new dishes here. When we visited before, they had many fish items. Now they have changed a bit and introduced traditional dishes as we are told. The place is full of vibe and ambience. Come on. Faizal did tell us that apart from the ambience they do provide tasty tea. Before we said our cherrs, Faizal alr
eady had his tea. This is mint and lime tea, right? Yes, and I think they have added cloves to the tea. Okay. The tea is good. It is cardamom. They have added mint, lime and cardamom to the tea. It has a mild taste and tastes good. I think the sun has set on the other side. They have a small wall with paintings here, so we have to look over the wall to see whether the sun has set down or not. Steamed rice roll is getting ready in the kitchen. Paalkonjh is a special item here. This is Kizhiparott
a right? Many have varieties of Kizhiparottas. They also have Paalkappa here and many other varieties of delicious items. The main attraction of the place is the ambience. The total ambience is super. All our items are here. This is Paalparotta and the other one is Paalkappa. We have the beef curry that goes along with paalkappa along with chicken kondattam, paalkonjh. This is our karimeen pollichath, Thilapia fry, four varieties steamed rice rolls made with rice, wheat, ragi and corn. We no mor
e need these lids, right? Shall we start? Come on. Let’s remove the lid and start from a side of paalkappa and paalparotta. Could this be kizhiparotta. No it is paalparotta itself. We have to taste these with their curries before it goes cold. Paalparotta is very common around us these days. But these two said they have not tried it before. You try the paalparotta first. This is your first time. You have to definitely try it. Paalkappa is also unfamiliar to us. They have already tried it before
when they visited the restaurant. I have also tried it from many places. I am starting with paalkappa. Along with their paalkappa, they have their own beef curry. Taking some beef curry along with its gravy. The curry has got bones in it. Now don’t complain that I didn’t say that the beef curry has got bones in it. Mixing the beef curry and paalkappa to taste. Let us first taste some from the paalkappa alone. Coconut milk, tapioca and some mild masalas like dried red chili, garlic is added to th
e preparation. The taste of coconut milk is clearly evident in the taste. At the same time the taste of tapioca gives it a special taste. We can now mix some beef curry with the paalkappa to taste. The paalkappa is in the right consistency. It tastes so good along with the beef curry. We can only obtain the correct combination while having it with the curry. d in the preparation. I am not sure of the other masalas added to it as by the time we got here they have already finished their preparation. Tasting a piece of prawns along with its milky masala to taste. It tastes delicious. The dish is not spicy. Don’t expect it to be spicy. The spice is comparatively very low in it but the dish is rich in coconut oil and prawns is well cooked without being overcooked so that you can chew the prawns pieces while tasting it. Small coconut pieces is also added
to the preparation which gives a special feeling to the dish and a better taste. This would go well with paalappam as well as steamed rice rolls. We have varieties of steamed rice rolls, if possible, we can taste it with steamed rice roll. The combination would be great. I have been talking about Paalkonjh, tell me how is the Paalparotta? We have our chicken kondattam rich in dry red chili, curry leaves and garlic. Let me just take a piece to taste. This is not bad. I have tried better chicken kondattams. It has a light sweet taste. The taste of dried red chili shuld be forward. There is a light sweet taste. I think the sweetness stands forward in it. Just a little bit. But no problem. I
really liked the combination of paalkappa and beef. I also liked the taste of paalkonjh. Now we have steamed rice rolls. We have to try it with our paalkonjh. It would taste delicious. We also have our fish items to taste. But our camera’s battery is almost over as we had already completed two-three shoots and had a long journey. So, we are not going into those. good apart from the ambience which stays highlighted. I really liked the place. I also liked the taste. The last time we were here, the name os the restaurant was Puzhakadav. Faizal didn’t know that we have come here before. Last time we were here, we had an item of turtle squid. The chef back then told us that it was a large squid. Today, we don’t have such items. We didn’t see such items in the menu. We have items like Paalkappa and paalparotta. The tea was also great. We ordered one more rou
