Volusia County is cracking down on chaos. Last year's "Orlando Invades Daytona" beach day event was marred with controversy as law enforcement said large crowds got out of control. It was supposed to happen next weekend, but Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood is looking to put a stop to it. ave already been sold and the sheriff is so determined to keep those people off the beach he sent these cease and desist letters to the promoters they're trying to clean it up especially the boardwalk area they're trying to make it more family friendly the letters explain that any unsanctioned or unpermitted events held at Daytona Beach will result in traffic problems and an unreasonable strain on law enforcement and other Beach safety resources I reached out to one of those promoters on Instagr
