The Supreme Court rejected Rep. Greene’s bid to overturn the hefty fines she incurred for repeatedly refusing to wear a mask on the House floor during the pandemic. “That’s right—Marjorie Taylor Greene took her Covid conspiracies all the way to the highest court in the land,” says Jen Psaki.

[Music] tonight we are still waiting for the Supreme Court to rule on two pretty big cases there's the effort to disqualify Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot in Colorado based of course on the 14th Amendment and Trump's incitement of an Insurrection in 2020 and the court is also considering Trump's claim that he is immune from being prosecuted in the federal elections case brought by special counsel Jack Smith but while we continue to watch and wait for action on those major big cases we
did get one really satisfying in from the court today and it was a decisive loss from congresswoman margerie Taylor green the court rejected the Georgia Republicans case trying to overturn the Hefty fine she incurred for repeatedly refusing to wear a mask on the house floor during the pandemic that's right Marjorie Taylor green took her covid conspiracies all the way to the highest court in the land of course she did you may remember Congressman green and some of her magga colleagues flouted th
e rules over and over and and over again even while Sheltering in place during the January 6th Insurrection by the way as thousands of people died of covid every day across the country margorie Taylor green boasted about her total disregard for others health and safety I refuse to wear a mask and Chris I have to tell you something else I'm not vaccinated and I will be standing strong standing up for the people across this country that refuse to get vaccinated eventually it caught up with her fin
ancially as the hill notes house rules fine lawmakers $500 for their first infraction with the mask mandate and $2500 for subsequent breaches the second one really hurts to be withdrawn from their yearly pay green racked up more than $100,000 in fines that's a lot of times refusing to wear a mask that is also well over half of her annual salary so the congresswoman and two of her colleagues Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ralph nurman of South Carolina brought a lawsuit of course they did against
then speaker Nancy Pelosi and other house staffers they argued basically that the fines amounted to an illegal reduction of their salary they lost in front of the district court again at the US court of appeals and now the Supreme Court has refused the case altogether allowing the Lower Court ruling to stand so as it turns out the rules apply to you too margerie Taylor green mask up or pay up

Why would anyone in his right mind pay that woman $200,000 a year to do anything? Or even $20,000?
Somebody tell me how much she paid in legal fees to get the ruling against her. It could not have been cheap.
Can't MTG be prosecuted for frivolous litigation or barratry in addition to having to pay the fine? Who is paying her court costs anyway?
Many on that side think they can just refuse to follow any rule or any law! And then they try and justify it by conspiracy theories, or point their finger at somebody else as if they are unruly children. They’re nuts. 😳😳
This was so satisfying to hear.
Forrest Gump said it best and could represent Marjorie Green with his statement "Stupid is as Stupid does".
You have to love the hutzpah of someone screaming law and order, LAW AND ORDER! Then turning around and saying that THEY don’t have to follow the set rules or laws that they don’t like.
Rules should apply to everyone. Ms Green wasted SCOTUS's time.
It’s fascinating these people think the Supreme Court knows them and will side with them no matter what.
Of course Marjorie Taylor Greene took her to the Supreme Court that is one woman who is in perpetuity needing to speak to the manager
MTG needs to follow the advice of her dear leader, "You gotta pay your bills. You gotta pay"😂😂😂
MTG believed that Ivermectin makes her immune to COVID because Ivermectin was made specially for her kind in mind.
Good thing they take out of their paychecks cuz she wouldn't pay
Honestly, the only thing that makes sense about Marge being in Congress at all is that NW Georgians suffer from cripplingly-low self-esteem.
"Satisfying ruling" very well said 👍
Unlike their constituents that vote for them, the courts aren’t putting up with their BS.
MTG should be ordered by the highest court to wear a muzzle for the rest of her career in Congress
She should be happy to wear a mask to cover that mug
A most satisfying bit of news, Jen! I LOVE listening to you and am so glad you have your own show!!!!! And what Marge needs now is a muzzle, not a mask!!!! Thanks for bringing us great news !
MTG is an embarrassment to our country.
