Hello, recently I shared with you that I  got a new pet! I'm so excited about it. And you commented with all  the different pets you have. So I'm going to sign a few of those today, to  teach you words related to different animals, and maybe pets. At the end, I'll suggest a different video ... with even more animal signs -- all kinds  of animals. Today I'm focusing on pets. BIRD BIRD CAT CAT It's like the whiskers coming off a cat's nose. CAT The sign CAT has variation. For example:  CAT, or th
e middle finger and thumb: CAT. So index or middle, no difference. CAT Same thing as CAT CAT or CAT A third way: Just these two fingers  -- index and thumb -- "Cat". I tend to see it more with the  fingers extended: CAT or CAT. Also you can use two hands! CAT. CAT. A more formal sign, maybe. More emphasis. CAT. Or CAT DOG DOG The word DOG has variation, too.  I'll show a few different signs: Me? I sign DOG. DOG DOG. It's  kind of like you're snapping at a dog, to say "come here" or "look at me".
Similar. A second way: DOG DOG So you start tapping your hip, again like  you're calling a dog to come over to you. DOG DOG A third way: DOG A "D" into a "G" -- it's similar to  fingerspelling "dog" but there's no "O". DOG. DOG DOG A fourth way: DOG DOG It's like the ears on a dog. DOG Again: DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG FERRET, someone requested. But  I haven't seen a sign for it! I would fingerspell: FERRET. FERRET If you use a sign for "ferret",  like FERRET -- something lke this, I'm not sure. I neve
r used that  s ign. I don't have a ferret, and I don't have any friends who have  them. But, you can fingerspell FERRET. FISH FISH Also, you might see it with the  non-dominant index finger: FISH Same thing: FISH or FISH And remember, that's different from the activity  of FISHING. FISHING, "to go fish" is different. FROG FROG The 2 fingers extend like  frogs legs, under the chin. FROG GUINEA PIG GUINEA PIG. The sign PIG is like this. You  can fingerspell "guinea" PIG. HORSE HORSE or HORSE HORSE
LIZARD, I have seen a few things  related to the tongue: LIZARD, or LIZARD Like that. LIZARD RABBIT or BUNNY or RABBIT (2 hands) Now the thumb is in, and the  palm faces backward. RABBIT. RABBIT RABBIT A second way is like this. RABBIT BUNNY RABBIT SNAKE SNAKE SNAKE Someone commented about a  pet tarantula -- fs-TARANTULA You'd tend to either sign SPIDER, or  fingerspell to specifically say "tarantula". SPIDER If you're discussing, maybe describing your pet  the first time, you might sign fs-TA
RANTULA, and then once that label is  given, use the sign SPIDER. SPIDER Ooh -- it's not for me. I am so scared. TURTLE TURTLE TURTLE It's like the head of a turtle is peeking out. You might've seen the sign SEA-TURTLE like this. Turtle-- that one is a sea turtle. SEA-TURTLE TURTLE , in general. TURTLE Let's review. Okay, that's a few different pets! I suggest a different video if you want to learn more animal signs. I'll add that  link here, plus in the description below. It's from -- that vid
eo is from ASL THAT. That teacher is wonderful, they have  many videos I suggest you watch. Thank you so much for watching!  If you like this video, and you want to learn more ASL, don't  forget to click LIKE, plus, Subscribe! Thanks again, and I'll see you soon. Bye!
