Monday's pets on 2 is sponsored by Goose Creek Heating in air welcome to petson 2 today we have our friends from Berkeley Animal Center and we're meeting a new lady this is Lana yes Lana is a 2-year-old and she is the sweetest thing ever she's she's pretty timid right now but when you get her outside on a leash she's very happy go-lucky enjoys being out in the fresh air she's such a sweet little bug she's all curled up on your lap and you know don't let the timidness fool you because a shelter e
nvironment is is not the best for any dog and you'll definitely find that they come out of their shell once they get into your home environment absolutely they just want a home like everybody else and so we're looking for a Foster to adopt home for Lana um we think that she would be great in any size home including an apartment CU she is just a midsize dog she's not super big so I think she'd be fine anywhere and she's so sweet holding on to you she's like where has this lady taking me today she
's a fun one we've enjoyed our car and everything so we were just chatting it's spring which means one thing for all of our shelters puppies and kittens yes uh Springtime is the season of love and we have lots and lots of puppies and kittens starting to roll in we need Fosters for those puppies and kittens because the shelter is no place to keep little ones right um we have anything from bottle babies up to like you know maybe six-month-old puppies and they all need a home so that they can start
learning how to be a dog how to be part of a family um and fosters get the first CH to adopt those dogs usually um so it's a good chance to try things out but also it helps it helps with your kids learning about how to nurture and care for animals um so yeah it's a it's a fun time to um to be able to do that fostering and I mean we're talking sometimes you might have an animal that comes to the shelter pregnant and then the puppies or kittens need to be bottle-fed I mean they need Hands-On care
and they just really cannot thrive in a shelter at no definitely not it's I mean we're there to do what we can to provide for these animals but nothing beats a home yeah and then you might be able to end up with a puppy or kitten and you get to test it out absolutely um we're going to have a lot we know it's coming so um anybody that would like to help in the Foster program just have them contact the shelter and they can join us and and be a part of the fun and if we want Miss Lana what should
we do yes call the um shelter or actually just stop by the shelter 131 Central Berkeley Drive um the Foster and adoptions are 1 to5 Tuesday through Saturday um Miss Lana here is $85 and that includes being spayed microchipped rabies all the things all the things it is an absolute bargain full service well thank you so much for being here and we hope Miss Lana gets home today thank you so much Hannah all right we're heading to break day with us you're watching news to midday
