During the early 1900 civilization moved
from a more naturalist outlook on art, often representing physical and realistic objects
in a natural setting. To a more modernist setting, which explored the non natural, abstract
and existential representations of feelings contrasting the naturalistic physical
destination. In a lyrical sence a naturalist would say something like:"I saw your hiding your
smile" In contrast to the modernist metaphor for the same sentence: "The light couldn't escape
a
s you made sure it didn't shine to bright"
