PIPPA tells the story of Captain Balram Singh Mehta of India’s 45 Cavalry regiment who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971. Named after the Russian amphibious war tank “PT-76”, which floats on water like an empty ‘pippa’ (tin) of ghee, the film traces Mehta's coming-of-age as he steps up to prove himself in a war to liberate Bangladesh.

Just watched this movie on amazon prime. This movie is easily my favorite movie of 2023. Ishaan's acting is just class apart. Mrunal and priyanshu were good as well. The storyline, cinematography, screeenplay and direction are really good. Very well researched movie. Its a breath of fresh air, with an Indian war movie having a tropical setup, rather than himalayas and mountains. There is no fake bravado, and no unnecessary bgm to ignite deshbhakti. It is very well made with the right amount of emotion and action enough to give you goosebumps by the end of the movie. This is definitely deserves a theatre watch. I would rate this movie as a 4.5 out 5.
Im glad that at least it's releasing, since the day it was announced I used to check for further updates on its development. Theatre would have made this an astounding experience, but i prefer it on ott than getting shelved like many other masterpieces🙏

Awesome movie. I am a Bangladeshi and had always supported India. After watching this my love for India and hate for Pakistan increased. I want to see this movie in our theaters again.

I’m Bangladeshi & I confirm this is the best movie ever made by India about the 1971 Bangladesh- Pakistan War. Kudos 💯. Wow! They just portrayed exactly what happened in 1971. Script, Direction,Set Design, Acting 10/10. Everyone related with the movie deserves appreciation. Thank You very much indeed.
