Hello friends welcome to season 5 of the srii political podcast it's been about 3 years since I saw and chatted with you and it's time to get back to it I'm 10 now and have my trusty correspondent brother vivon here who is now five and will be six in early 2024 hi everyone I'm excited to be a part of this it's been an eventful few years filled with music chess and travel and we even wrote and published a book about child Le learning that's available on Amazon and find bookstores everywhere calle
d do brown cows make chocolate milk family experiences around child Le learning it's now November 2023 and the general election is just over a year away on November 7th 2024 right now polls indicate that 45th US president Donald Trump is the heavy Republican Party favorite and incumbent 46th US President Joe Biden is the heavy Democratic Party favorite at ages 77 and 80 respectively there is some speculation that one or both may not run so we'll look at different possibilities around that as we
explore hey vvon do you know the three leading Republican Challengers I think does Nikki the and one right you're right the three curent leading Republican Challengers are indeed former US ambassador to the United Nations and former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley who's 51 Viv ramaswami aged 38 who's an entrepreneur pitching the political Outsider perspective and Ron DeSantis age 45 a former US Representative and current governor of Florida desantis's popularity seemed to have peaked in F
ebruary 2023 and is currently trending down meanwhile Nikki Haley's stock has seemed to rise in Vivic ramaswami seems solidly in forth right now note that former vice president Mike Pence recently pulled out of the race do you know any Democrat contenders Vivie there's Joe Biden and kamla Harris right yes that said on the Democratic side The Challengers are scarce Maryanne Williamson aged 71 an athor and a spiritual adviser is running again in currently holds the distant second spot among those
who have declared followed by 54-year-old US representative from Minnesota Dean Phillips who's a distant third Gavin Nome 56 is the current governor of California and has enough name recognition that if he entered the race he'd almost certainly jump to second we can't forget Kamala Harris current vice president age 59 who despite strong support to Joe Biden in his reelection campaign would be a strong Contender should Joe Biden not run there are also a couple Independents who could pull some swi
ng voters but likely not play into the Electoral College namely Robert F Kennedy Jr age 69 a political activist and nephew of 35th US President John F Kennedy as well as Cornell West age 70 a professor historian and political activist let's talk for a minute about statistics do you know what statistics are vivon aren't those numbers data guesses and stuff like that yes we love data mom works with data every day at work dad teaches kids about data we play with data every day whether it's in our c
hess or music studies fantasy football or Pokémon card play while all indications right now show that the general election next year will be between Donald Trump and Joe Biden we have to be care careful name recognition is a huge Factor right now since for many they are the only choices they know voluntary response is a major factor in polls as well meaning those who have strong opinions are more likely to share them and they may not represent the broader voting base also we've already seen five
Republican candidates withdraw as the field Narrows name recognition will grow for the other leading contenders but for now as you can see Trump and Biden both have huge leads in their parties okay early prediction time vivon who do you think will face off in the general election in November and who do you think will win I think it will be Trump versus Biden again and I think Trump will win interesting why I'm really just taking a guess but it seemed like he had more support that's interesting
Vivy it does seem that way but it may not be true hey dad what do you think who will run in the 2024 November presidential election ooh great question guys I'll be provocative and say Nikki Haley versus kamla Harris with Nikki Haley winning whoa why honestly I don't think either Donald Trump or Joe Biden really want to do it again I may well be wrong but I think they'll find a way out and Haley and Harris are likely the next two in line also I believe in finding the best of east meets west and I
'm excited that both sides have strong indian-american women running that sounds like Hope Chest dad honestly I really don't know who will win there's a lot of time left and a lot of things can happen in the year I think as always it'll come down to a few swing States and it'll likely be between Biden and Trump I think the swing States in 2024 will be Nevada where Biden has a slight Edge Arizona where Trump has a slight Edge Wisconsin where Trump has a slight Edge Georgia where Trump has the sli
ght Edge and Pennsylvania where Biden has the slight Edge that would give Trump a narrow 272 to 266 electoral Victory so I guess I'll go with that for now but anything can happen that's all for today we're on YouTube now at bro lifee podcast so please be sure to like our video And subscribe to our Channel we've disabled comments but feel free to email us at brolife podcast gmail.com thanks so much for listening see you next time
