So, what are you all talking about? Well, you tell us. What quote were you writing over there? Jethalal, I haven't written any quotes. [comical music] So, what were you writing about? Read it. Since you're here, why don't you tell us? It'll be fun if you read it, Jethalal. If Aatmaram has written it, it must be special. Let's read it. - Come on now. - Yes, let's go. He came here to give the invitation. [laughing] I can't see anything. Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations! Today, it'
s the stormy member of our Gokuldham society, reporter Mr Popatlal's birthday. [mellow music] So, on behalf of the whole Gokuldham society, a very happy birthday to him. May he always remain happy and healthy, and he gets married soon. This is what the whole Gokuldham society wishes. It's written 'prayer', not 'wish'. That's the wrong word. 'Wish' should have been written. Are you here to read or teach, Jethalal? Read what's written over there. - You've written it wrong. - Just read it. - This i
s what the whole Gokuldham society prays. - Right. [mellow music] [mellow music] [mellow music] Here it is. I was right. In all the wishes of Bhide and the rest of the society members, there's just sympathy. Well, let's go. Let's congratulate Popatlal. No, no, Sodhi. Don't go to Popatlal's house. Why? Did you fight with him? What are you saying, Sodhi? Do you think Mr Mehta is the one who fights? He is the one who solves fights. He has no enemies. Neither fight with anyone nor the enmity. No pro
blem person. Yes, Mr Sodhi. He was saying it because Mr Popat isn't at his home. His home is locked. Oh! Where did Popatlal go so early in the morning? Well, I'll call him. We all will wish him together. - Yeah, call him. The number you are dialling is currently switched off. 'The number you are dialling is currently switched off.' Actually, I called Mr Popat as well, but his phone is switched off. Oh, okay. - We called, too. - We called, too. This is strange. Popat's phone is never switched off
. Maybe his phone's battery is low or maybe his phone is not functioning. But where did Popatlal go so early in the morning? Maybe he went out to have some breakfast. Popatlal is a reporter. He must be busy with some work. Oh no. Everyone is here. They are talking about Mr Popat. I'll have to go. Wait a minute. We'll find out where Popat went and at what time did he go. - How? - Look at Abdul over there. Abdul! - Yeah. - Just a minute. Good morning. Good morning. - Good morning. - Good morning.
'Oh god. I hope Abdul doesn't spill the truth that I'm at home.' Well, Abdul. Popatlal went out for work in the morning and his phone is switched off. Do you know where and at what time he went out? No, no. I don't know. Okay, that's fine. I was asking just like that. - Why are you getting so stressed? - Yeah. It's Mr Popat's birthday and we are not able to contact him so, of course, I would be worried. Okay, okay. Well, I'll leave now. I have to deliver stuff. - Okay, bye. - Okay. Phew! I got s
aved. Abdul didn't say anything. Okay, we should leave for work as well. We'll wish Popatlal when we'll meet him at night. Yes, we'll have a party at night as well. The one who has to go to work should leave and the one who needs to rest should go home. Okay. Are you taunting me? No, no, man. You don't rest at home. Mr Jetha, are you taunting me then? No, no, Mr Hathi. Your clinic is at home. Mr Jetha, are you taunting me then? No, no. So Mr Jetha, I'm the one left out. It means that you're taun
ting me. [stuttering] Sorry. Sorry. I'm not taunting anyone. It just came out of my mouth by mistake. Jethalal. It said that one should think before he speaks. Really? But I've heard that it is also said that the ones who think before they speak are very shrewd. And the ones who don't think before speaking are very innocent. Who said that? You were the one who wrote it once. Me? Mr Mehta, come on. Let's go. Let's go now. I'll give a ride to all of you. Come on. Okay, Mrs Babita. Okay, Mr Iyer. M
r Iyer is coming. Phew! Well, no one is going to wish me for my birthday from society. Popatlal, get ready. You'll celebrate the birthday yourself. But where do I get the cake from? If I order the cake, someone might doubt me. [tense music] I have an idea. [mellow music] [clears throat] Oh. [comical music] Bhide, did you fire the cleaner? Well, the garbage was lying here so I put it in the dustbin. People are so strange. The dustbin is right here, but they will still throw the garbage in the way
. Oh, calm down, Bhide. Maybe no one threw it. It must have flown from somewhere. Yeah... But how have you arrived so early? Actually, in the nearby society, I came to deliver my friend's car. So, I called Roshan and told her that we should have a romantic lunch together. That's good. It is said that one should eat as much as he can with the family. Oh, you smart guy. It is said that one should eat with family as much as he can. Really? No problem. Let's keep it that way. Hey, has Popatlal arriv
ed? I've been calling him, but his phone is switched off. No, Sodhi. I just checked his house. It's still locked. I also called him several times, but it's not going through. I think we will meet him directly in the evening now. - Hey, Bhide! - Hmm? It's Popatlal's birthday today. So why don't we all friends get together and have a party? It's a great opportunity and an occasion. It's Popatlal's birthday too. It's been a long time since we guys have partied together. Right! Not a bad idea, Sodhi
. And Madhavi is also not at home. She has gone to her aunt's house in Lonavala. She will return tomorrow. Then it's a perfect opportunity. I'll inform the rest of the group. - Yeah, but will others be able to come? - Come on! Why not? Popatlal lives alone. He doesn't need anyone's permission. Then it's me, Mr Hathi, Mr Mehta and Mr Iyer. We will come to the party with an excuse as usual. Yeah, but what about Jethalal? Uncle will be home. Oh, come on! Did you forget Uncle goes to sleep early? Wh
en Uncle sleeps, Jethalal will come secretly to party. But Uncle will not sleep early today. Why won't he sleep early... Wow, Sodhi! Very good! - You want to have a party? - No... - You want to have a party? - Oh, my! No! How dare you plan a party! Hey, Sodhi! Don't you dare plan a party! I'm not going to come to your party. Even I won't go to Sodhi's party. Uncle, I was just testing Bhide. I just made an offer for a party. I wanted to check his response. And look, he agreed! [laughing] Uncle, I
was also testing him. What would his response be if I said yes? And look, he failed. Oh! How dare you! Don't even dare to think about a party! I'll make the entire male gang sit in the compound all night. No, not in a compound. I'll make you sit in the garden. Why in the garden? Because there will be mosquitoes there. Mosquitoes will bite you all night. - Here! - Uncle! That won't be needed. None of us are going to party. It's just that it was Popatlal's birthday, so... So what? So what if it's
his birthday? Go and wish him. 'Happy Birthday, Popatlal!' 'Oh, God! They are talking about Popatlal.' 'Uncle is also here.' 'Lest it slips out of my mouth that Mr Popat is at home, ' 'and I am the one who has locked him from outside.' 'Mr Abdul, run for your life.' You must first find him to wish him. Where has he gone? Has he gone out of station somewhere? God knows where he has gone. It's his birthday today. Neither his call is going through, nor is he here. I also called him several times,
but it's not going through. I think he must have gone out somewhere in the morning. He must have had some urgent work. - Okay, I'll get going. - Okay, Uncle. - Don't forget the mosquitoes! - Yeah! Sure. How can we forget that! [comical music] Whoa! That was a narrow escape, Sodhi. Yeah, you're right. That truly was a narrow escape. But, Bhide, the thing to think about is that on his birthday, what work is Popatlal busy with? That he is neither picking up our calls nor coming to meet us. He is a
reporter. He must have gone somewhere to report. He might have got some sensational news or might have gone somewhere to conduct a sting operation. Or he might have gone to a place - we cannot even imagine. - Really? Come on, let's go. Go and have lunch with Mrs Roshan. What happened, Mrs Anjali? Why did you call me urgently? It's already afternoon, and there is no sign of Mr Popat. Exactly! And when Roshan came for lunch in the afternoon, we called Mr Popat too, but his phone was switched off.
It's his birthday today, and there is no sign of him. I even asked Tapu's squad. They are eagerly waiting to wish Mr Popat. But we can't get in touch with him. Where would've Mr Popatlal gone? I'll call Taarak and ask him. Maybe he might know something. [phone ringing] Yeah, Anjali. Tell me. Taarak, Mr Popat still hasn't come home. And we are not able to connect to his phone, either. Anjali, Popatlal is not school going kid that worrying about him not coming home till now. He is a reporter. He m
ust be busy with some work. He'll be home by night. Yes, I know that he is not a kid, but Taarak, it's his birthday today and we don't know about his whereabouts. Friends, Popatlal wants to spend his birthday alone at his home and all of us are searching for Popatlal. We're calling him. We rang his doorbell but Popatlal didn't open the door. All of us are worried about Popatlal's whereabouts. People of Gokuldham society want to celebrate Popatlal's birthday. Please, Popatlal. Wherever you are, p
lease come in front of us. Friends, things don't happen as we wish them to. So, will we be able to find Popatlal and celebrate his birthday together? The game of hide and seek has begun. Popatlal's mission is to celebrate his birthday alone. And our mission is celebrating Popatlal's birthday with him. And in between all of this, there's going to be a mission for Popatlal. He'll have to go out for a sting operation. And what if someone sees him when he goes out of the house? What is this sting op
eration about? How big is the risk in it? Friends, there are many questions, but you'll get only laughter as the answer. So, don't forget to watch Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Keep watching. Keep laughing.
