well Texans are now blocked from the adult website PornHub the site cut off access over its objection to a new state law that requires age verification measures to protect miners from being exposed to obscene materials the pornography media platform joined a federal lawsuit against Texas leaders after the bill passed back in September but the fifth Circuit Court of Appeals allowed the law to take effect now in a lengthy statement PornHub said in part quote as we've seen in other states such bill
s have failed to protect minors by driving those users from the sites which do comply to the thousands of websites with far fewer safety measures in place who do not comply state senator Angela Paxton who introduced the bill wrote on social media quotes after insistent fighting against it the pornography industry is being forced to comply with the law

VPNs go burrr
Why isn't Paxton forced to comply with the law?
I work for an ISP. The amount of calls from Texas based accounts we've received asking for help on how to use a VPN has noticeably increased.
Great, now what am I going to do, talk to actual women?
Mike Johnson says thank God I don't live in Texas.
VPN memberships will skyrocket.
It's weird to me that people want the US to be both small and big government like idk, monitor your kids' internet access, it's not that fucking hard
North Carolina did this also not to long ago
im glad vpns dont exist or this would be an extremely expensive case of virtue signaling with absolutely no impact on anyone.
There’s still 10 other porn sites…
Yet Zuckerberg lets them still do porn ads....I was shocked when my neighbor showed us, Zuckerberg should be fined on all porn stuff
Minors are some of the more advanced internet users. Why do old republicans think those kids don’t know how to use a VPN?
Here we go gotta child proof adult stuff because parents refuse to parent
Even if VPNS didn’t exist, this would still be dumb. The only places that comply with such orders are bigger porn sites. There are hundreds of smaller porn sites that will easily slip through, to say nothing of paid sites, OnlyFans, et cetera.
People act like this is the only place to watch corn videos.
I hate this state. I never would have bought land here had I known how insane everyone was going to go.
Oh no the Trolls can't self-reproduce!😱
Am sure Texans will find a way to upload their videos.
One thing I'm curious on - is this law enforceable on sites operating outside of the United States? Like, would a British porn site have to comply?
Can I buy stocks for VPNs specifically sold in Texas?
