PPCO Promo for Narcotic Hearts - Dream Boy Single 2024

Narcotic Hearts are the latest band to appear fully formed from the ever expanding St Albans label The Perfect Pop Co-Op. The flamboyantly-shirted 4 piece play addictive trashy pop for a jilted generation, with an evocative, sonically adventurous sound that sits somewhere between early Banshees, New Order, Slade and the Stray Cats... Just to get your juices flowing! With 3 new eps and album number two slated for release this year and fresh off the back of support slots to The Woodentops, Eddie & The Hot Rods and My Life Story, excitement is high in the Narcs camp! Dream Boy Doing Well, is due to be released as single in 2024. https://www.perfectpopco-op.co.uk/narcotichearts https://www.facebook.com/narcotichearts @narcohearts We come from the era when pop music was the perfect 3 minutes of 7 inch vinyl -The weird and the wonderful could make it onto top of the pops and be considered pop music. Things like Virginia Plain – Roxy Music, Get it on – T. Rex, Blue Monday – New Order, Ant Music – Adam and the Ants, Love Action – Human League, Ghosts – Japan, Wood Beez – Scritti Politi, o superman -Laurie Anderson, are friends electric – tube way army. The eclecticness of the TOTPs is what made it so good. We wanted to produce outsider pop. Formed in 2011 by members of The Tuesday Club; Dave Worm, The Beautiful Wolf and Andreas Vanderbraindrain for the sole purpose of releasing our own music and art projects. Based very loosely on Fast Product, Factory Records and Rough Trade with main similarities being our gung ho approach to finance and an obsession with releasing limited edition vinyl records! Now home of ‘In the Club’ Magazine and The Andreas and The Wolf Radio Show and the new Weekly Podcast, plus active music projects including; Narcotic Hearts and Andreas and The Wolf and sometimes Faction Structure, together with sleeping ‘giants’ The Tuesday Club, The Scratch and Reverse Family! Fiercely committed to our outsider pop crusade, (we come from the era where pop wasn’t a dirty word!) Within our careers we’ve also had near misses in the fame game, almost managed by 60s mover and shaker Larry Page (Kinks and Troggs), The B Wolf scored a Dance chart no.1 in the acid house era with the track funkatrarium, in 2007 The Scratch opened the massive versus cancer show at the M.E.N Manchester on a bill including Charlatans, Echo and the Bunnymen, Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher. Countless support slots have included Toyah, Buzzcocks, Space, Dreadzone, Rezillos, New Model Army, Department S, Spizz Energy, Captain Sensible and Bad Manners, Scant Regard, My Life Story, Eddie & The Hot Rods and Red Snapper… In October 2017 Reverse Family released a 365 project that consisted of 52 eps of 7 songs released, one per week until October 2018. All the songs were written one per day for the whole of 2015, ultimately securing the project a place in the British Sound library.
