hello aana thanks for joining us tonight we have breaking news a pregnant woman is in the hospital after a fire at a Lafayette Motel this evening now she is expected to be okay and is currently being treated for smoke inhalation newon Brit lefaso was on the scene she spoke with Witnesses and shows us the damage I spoke with a family of five a woman her mother and her three children were living in this room right up here when they say it caught fire this evening luckily no one was severely injure
d the mother of those three children did run back into this room to save their dog and she is in the hospital for smoke inhalation but other than that no other injuries here tonight I was in my room and I heard some commotion going on some hollering so I got up and open the door up and smell smoke seen smoke I come running out and come running down and there was a room on fire my first reaction was to eat the people in the room out and that's what I went went upstairs to do the three children an
d their grandmother were the first to escape the children's Mother also escaped after running back inside to save the family's dog Duke thank God that they're safe and that you know the stuff that was in the room can be replaced a life can't Alton tryan with the laffayette fire department says firefighters responded just after 5:00 p.m. when they arrived smoke was coming out of an upstairs bedroom tranne says the fire may have been caused by cigarettes or matches but once we did the investigatio
n we determined the fire originated in the bathroom so we're kind of looking at smoking material perhaps cuz there's nothing El there other than a human being doing something inside the the bathroom so um you just everything's safe right now fortunately there the only room that was was damaged and we do know that the one woman who was hospitalized tonight is pregnant again she is being treated for smoke inhalation reporting in Lafayette Brit lefaso kale of Y News 10
