Now, I have a mission to contribute to this  country by advocating for my patients I constantsly fight for lower drug cost and bridge  and healthcare gaps spend standing up to the Mittleman and the description corporate  managers and give back to the community. All to support them and  give back to the community. [APPLAUSE]. Over the past 2 years I have seen countless patients struggle to pay for basic  medication like insulin and vaccine but we have an allay in President Joe Biden. [APPLAUSE].
The $35 insulin program and the no  cost vaccine program had been lifelines through the reduction act, that's awesome. Also, through President Biden work to improve our and she, and we have been able to create new  jobs in my business helping other members of the community to obtain gainful employment. [APPLAUSE]. I am grateful for everything this administration  is doing to tackle healthcare cost and help small businesses help minority business owners look  and I be look forward to President Bi
den to finish the job. [APPLAUSE]. So now everyone, it is my honor  my pleasure to introduce to you, the First Lady of the yietle Dr. Jill Biden,. [APPLAUSE] and the President, Joe Biden. [MUSIC]. [MUSIC]. >>>: Four more years. Four more years. For more years. For more years. >>>: Thank you. Thank you, thank you Dr. Momah for that  introduction and for sharing your story with us. A did you see Joe last night? [APPLAUSE]. Wasn't he on fire? [APPLAUSE] I was so proudest of him he gave such a  stro
ng speech and set out a clear vision of where we have been and where we are going. [APPLAUSE]. So it's great to be home. As most  of you know I'm a Philly girl. [APPLAUSE]. So I grew up in willow grove just North city, like most  of you I spent my summers watching the Phillies with my dad. Of course in the fall we  were always watching football and the eagles. [APPLAUSE]. Yes. And speaking of the eagles can we  give Jason Kelsy a round of applause. [APPLAUSE]. We're going to miss him, aren't we?
Yeah. So last night Joe showed the world what I  see every day. It's what grew him to when we first met I think almost 50 years ago. [LAUGHTER]. At that time, he was a hard broken father who  had endured unspeakable tragedy he was keeping it together for our family, the snare who put  one foot in the front other. Because he knew his constituents were counting on him, the man who  placed his faith in a power of greater than than himself. Because when you go through that type  of pain, there is n
o choice but to recognize your powerlessness in the face of God's Providence. [APPLAUSE]. Joe rebuilt our family with compassion, love and strength. And as you are  President he's rebuilt our nation with that same character. [APPLAUSE]. Joe knows how serious the station are in this  election. Courts that are stripping away our most basic freedoms. Maga Republicans  that are trying to drag us back to a dark and dangerous place. Boo. Extremist waging battles over our bodies our choice and say our
futures. We are the first generation in half a century, to give our daughters a country with fewer rights  than we had. Joe is working tirelessly to defend our freedoms our future, and our democracy. [APPLAUSE]. I wouldn't wish the tragic events of  the last several months on any American President. But I'm so grateful that Joe is  our President during these uncertain times. [APPLAUSE]. He isn't just the right person for this job, he is the only person for this job. [APPLAUSE]. Joe wakes every m
orning thinking about how he  can make the lives of Americans better. Donald Trump wakes every morning carrying about  one person and one person only, himself. Boo. He tears people down and picks us against one another. He mocks women's bodies and devalues our  existence. Here's it's one thing that really gets my Philly up. As the daughter of a world World  War II veteran, Navy veteran and the mother of an Army soldier, Donald Trump insults our veterans  and disparages those who died in war. Cal
ling them losers and suckers how dare he? [APPLAUSE]. Donald Trump is dangerous to swim to our families  and to our countries. We can't let him win. We can't wake up the day after  the election like we did in 2016. Terrified of the future ahead of us thinking oh,  my God what just happened? What are we going to do now? No. We must meet this moment as if  our rights are at stake. Because they are. [APPLAUSE]. As if our democracy is on the line  because it is. We must reelect Joe Biden and Kamala
Harris. [APPLAUSE]. [LAUGHTER]. And that's starts here in this room with all of of you, so please help me welcome my husband, the  46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. [APPLAUSE]. [LAUGHTER]. [APPLAUSE]. >>>: I think I should go home now. >>>: No. >>>: Old I'm Jill Biden husband, thanks to the elected officials that are here today, including  someone I keep, we're related our families come from the same county in Ireland, there you go,  done a hell of job representing this district. I
f you are tired you are probably  watched my address last night. I got my usual warm reception when  congresswoman mar gri Taylor green, I spoke about how far we've come since we  took office and I talked about how much is at stake. Folks, our freedom is really are in  a ballot this November. Donald Trump and the maga Republicans are trying to take away  our freemtion that's not an exaggeration, guess what well not let him. We will not let him. Last night, the U.S. Capitol, the same building whe
re where you are freedoms came under  assault on July 6, that should be January 6, it talked about another Alabama. 14 months ago,  she and her husband welcomed a baby girl thanks to with IVF she scheduled treatments to have a  second child, but the Alba ma'am Supreme Court shut that down, across the state unleashed by  the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe V wade, she was told her dream would have a wait. But  her family has gone through should never have happened and folks, you know why it ha
ppened,  I will tell you why. One reason, Donald Trump. He came to office determined to overturn row  V wade he bragged about that repeatedly, he's the reason he got his wish. And states and passing  bans criminal analyzing and forcing incest people to get care, migrant Republicans and want to pass  a national ban on the right to choose period. Well. Take it seriously, folks that's what they are heading for. Hear me  loud and clear this will not happen on my watch. [APPLAUSE]. The decision to ov
erturn -- >>>: Four more years. Four more years.  Four more years. Four more years. Four more years. >>>: Thank you. The decision to overturn Roe V wade and  the Supreme Court majority wrote women are not without electoral power or political  power. Clearly, these bragging -- anyway. [LAUGHTER]. Those bragging about overturning Roe V wade have no clue about  the power of women in America. No clue. They found out what reproductive was on the  ballot 202 and they'll find out in four. I mean this f
rom the bottom of my heart I thank  VIZ President Harris for leading on this issue and other, in Pennsylvania, I have a message for  you. Send me the Congress so I can support this right and I promise you we take that Congress,  well restore Roe V wade as the law of the land. [APPLAUSE]. Look I came to office determined to get us through the one  of the toughest periods in the nation history. We have. And I inherited a economy was on  it's drink, excuse me, now our economy is the end of the worl
d, 15 million new jobs in  3 years that's a record in American history. Unemployment is at a 50 year low. 800,000  new manufacturing jobs and counting. Ace said when I started where is it written  that we can't be in a manufacturing capital of the world again, wages are up and inflation  is coming down. Inflation is dropped from 9% to 3%. It made so much progress, so now let's talk  about the future we can build because we have more to do. Look the future were the days of trickle  down economics
are over and the wealthist begin to pay their fair share, God love them. For example, Americans paid more as the for prescription drugs than anywhere  else in the world, it's wrong. I have been fighting the pharmaceutical industry for  over 30-years, guess what we are ending that. The allow I proposed and signed, no one not one  Republican voted for it but we beat big form ma, instead of paying $400 a month for insulin  for senior they pay 35 bucks. By the way, it only cost ten dollars to make.
Still  paying -- still getting a big profit. But look I'm not stopping there. Let's let's  cap the cost for every American that needs it. Applause I finally beat big pharma now  we are giving Medicare to negotiate the prescription drug for the military, this just not  save seniors money, but taxpayers and cutting the deficit, I want you know it's going to  save the taxpayers another $200 billion, already saved $160 billion off of your tax because  Medicare doesn't have to pay that bill. Folks,
starting next year, the bill I got passed  we're capping the total prescription cost for seniors on Medicare at $2,000 even for expensive  cancer drugs that cost, 10, 14, $15,000 a year. My goal next year islets  do that for all Americans. [APPLAUSE]. All Americans. [APPLAUSE]. Let's cap prescription drug cost to $2,000 a year for everyone. Folks, before  affordable care act is still a very big deal. Over hundred hundred million Americans can no -- (audio and in out). >>>: But Donald Trump annou
nced he want to repeal  that act, as Republicans colleague tried 49 other times since Obama care was passed, it's not going  to happen on my watch. I'm working to bring down the cost of housing. I am proposing an annual  tax schedule to give Americans $400 a month the next 2 years to put towards their mortgage  if they are buying their first home or in fact, they are moving to a larger place, because they  afraid they'll lose the emergency rate they have. Guess what? I can't guarantee it but I b
et you  the rates come down more, I bet that the interest rates will come down. It will come down. Folks, we're cracking on big landlords by, by driving up rents, now Congress needs to  pass my plan to renovate affordable home and say apartments and bring those rents down. [APPLAUSE]. By the way, my Republicans that causes  a lot of money, we cut the deficit, it cut the deficit, one trillion dollars. [APPLAUSE] last guy ballooned the deficit, we passed budget deal, and but they  finally agreed a
nd now, it's my goal to cut the federal deficit by 3 billion more and  3 trillion more by making big corporation very wealthy and I'm a capitalist by the way you  can go make billion buck but pay your taxes. We have a thousand billionaires  in America. A thousand. Guess how much they are their tax rate is, 8-point  3%. Anybody want to change the tax rate for them? Think about that. 8-point 3%. Billionaires. Donald Trump, you sure as hell do. Looking Donald Trump enacted 2 trillion-dollar  tax cu
t when he was President overwhelming benefiting the very wealthy, and exploded the  federal deficit and, we cut the deficit. We add more to the national debt than any  President in hi term in all of history, under Donald Trump. These guys talk about oh, -- [LAUGHTER] too many corporation raise their price and say pad their profits charge  you more and more more less and less. That's deceptive pricing. Looks like the  companies that, that you wouldn't notice, they thought you wouldn't notice but
you know,  if you are a they give you the same bag of chips, about 20% fewer potato chips, that's not  a joke. Somebody there was a TV thing on, how snickers bar, same be exact  price, and go home with 20% less. I'm serious. [APPLAUSE] Congress needs to Bobby cases bill to stop the inflation. Stop it. Stop it. These are family where I grew up and these  are kitchen table issues I'm getting junk fees for those added to the end of your bills without  your Monge. My understanding just announced we'
re cutting credit card late fees from $30 to $8. By the way, I'm not baby arbitrary the law says they can charge the late fee, what it cost them  to collect it, it does not cost anywhere near $32, they make over that period of time, billions of  dollars. Literally it stunned me, you got 450,000 people paying those late fees. They charge,  they end up paying over $2 billion. The banks and credit card companies adopt like it, why? I'm  saving American families $20 billion a year with those jungle
fees by flaimenting that. 20 billion. Those junk fees, I grew up, I in scantron ton and in Delaware, I grew up there. You know what? I made a difference in my household if you had to pay an extra 50 bucks a month, hundred bucks  a month, it wasn't fair. It matters so does this, folks, does anybody think the tax code is fair? >>>: No. >>>: Amine it, I'm serious. I don't. I will keep  fighting like hell to make it fair and under my plan, nobody, making $400,000 a year which  I never made, until I
became President. [LAUGHTER]. Will pay one Penny of additional  tax, nobody, not one Penny. Big corporation will finally have to begin to pay their fair  share. No really, this is just fairness. It's about fairness and decency, we're not making this  stuff up. In 2020, you may remember this is a big thing that I had with the Republicans. In 2020,  55 of the largest corporation in America made $40 billion in profit. And paid zero in federal taxes. I was determined to change that. Guess what, not
anymore. Thanks to law that I wrote and  signed, now big companies have to pay a minimum of 15 percent. Still less than working people pay  in federal tax, this time I will raise its to 21 % for big companies. [APPLAUSE]. So every billion dollar corporation begins to  pay their fair share, I want to end tax rates or big oil is and corporate jets and massive  pay, as I said there are thousand billionaires in America and their federal tax rate is 8.2%  I said 3 before that's far less than the vast
majorities of you pay, no billionaire should  pay less than a nurse or sanitation worker. [APPLAUSE]. That'sy proposed the minimum tax of 25% for billionaires. Just  25 smg guess what? How much money that would raise over the next ten-years, $500 billion. Imagine that that could do for Americans and our future, it could cut the deficit provide for child  care, so much that we need to do, and not raise the deficit. Let's invest it and let's continue  to invest about talking about climate crisis,
since I was the President I have felony over  those wildfires out West in the Northwest and the Southwest. And I have in a helicopter,  all of them, guess what? It's burned down more timber and more housing, comprises the entire  state of Maryland. We are taking significant action of climate in the history of the world. I  said I couldn't get it passed we got $369 billion passed for climate change. [APPLAUSE]. Still cut the deficit. America safer today when I took offices the year before I took
office murder rates went up  to 30% nationwide the biggest increasing in American history under the last guy, now through  the American rescue plan, whichever Republican voted against I made the largest investment of  public safety ever, last year murder rates saw the sharp he is decrease and violate crime fell more  than 50 years, I am ramping up federal enforcement and, so we can finally -- I propose to sign the  gun safety law, now we have to beat NRA I want to ban assault weapons and high c
apacity magazines. [APPLAUSE]. I did it once. Universal background checks. Repeal the immunity that protects gun manufacturers, imagine if the back hill  had the same limitation of companies that gun manufacturers and the only major corporation  in America you can't sue. Is gun manufacturers. Think about that. Imagine that then the case with  tobacco, how many more people dying of cancer, there is a lot more to say, I know,  I have been keeping you standing too long. [MULTIPLE SPEAKERS]. [APPLAU
SE]. >>>: Four more years. Four  more years. Four more years. Four more years. Four more years. >>>: Look. I was watching on television last night about 2 in the morning after we got  back to the house. The house the White House. Still thinking of to think of that as home. I had the TV on, it was Fox News be commentator saying you know, bides Joe Biden, is to filling  up from the bottom up to numeric. Ruin America we have the strongest economy in the world right  now, like I said, I mean this si
ncerely I believed in my whole career final got it done, if we focus  on the middle-class, first of all, first of all, they are the heart and soul of this country.  If you focus on them and give them an even chance the poor have a way up and the wealthy  still do very, very well. Still very well. As I said I'm a capitalist capitalism, when it  turns to engage non-competition, it ends up being this. Let me close with this. I know you are  thinking that I couldn't been around very long. [LAUGHTER]
. When you get to be my age, certain things become clear, never before. I know  the American story. I have seen it again and again in contest between competing force and the battle  soul, smof you may remember when I ran in 2020 I got criticized by the press I was running for 3  reasons, one to restore the soul of America. 2, to build the middle-class so we can begin to  grow again and everybody has a chance. And 3, unite the country. There is still my goals.  They are still my goals. [MULTIPLE
SPEAKERS] [APPLAUSE]. >>>: The soul of the country is who we are. Looking did you ever think those  that are over 40, did you ever think, we would be in this situation where we  talk to each other like we talk these days. Why you see things that we see that no matter  how tense things were, they are really tough in other parts of the history, we arrived down  the street there is a Trump banner with a FU on it and six-year-old kid putting up his middle  finger , no I'm serious, did you ever think
you would hear people talk the way they do? Look  it demeans who we are. That's not who America. Those between those -- look those of you who  want to pull America back to the past and those that wants to move it to the future. My lifetime  has taught me, to embrace the future. I mean it sincerely, freedom, democracy, and future based  on the core values that define America. Honesty, decency, fairness and equality. Just treating  people fairly. I really mean it, but that's it's America creed. A
nd Donald Trump sees the story  differently, he sees the story of retribution and revenge, I have been working like hell to unite  Europe and NATO, and make sure Ukraine doesn't get crushed by the dictator from Russia. [APPLAUSE]. But you know, the fact is that, you have a  President who literally is in invited Putin, to do it once, do what the hell it wants to come  into Ukraine. He thinks Putin is a strong, decent guy. You know who he is meeting with today and  down in Maryland go, and [INAUDI
BLE], and the only member of NATO, that's who he is meeting with. I see a future where we defend democracy. Not diminish it. I see a future -- we're defend our freedom not take them away. I see the middle-class has a fair shot and the wealthy pay their fair share. I see a future. For the planet, move from the climate crisis in  our country away from the gun violence that we have so much, I see a future America reremains  the beacon of the world I have been doing foreign policy since I was a kid
in the Senate, I was  chairman of foreign relation committee I have gone now and I spent over 200 hours with the  leaders of Europe heads of state I know them all I have known them well. And guess what? Know  what everyone one of of them says to me, except, urban, I'm serious as you leave these meetings,  well indirect they grab my arm and I'm serious, they pull me aside and say, he can't win  again. Because my democracy, is at stake. My democracy is at stake. [APPLAUSE]. Folks, above all I see,
the country for  all Americans the future for all Americans, a presidency for all Americans. Because I believe  in America I'M I believe in you and the American people, we are the United States of America. There is nothing nothing jond our capacity, if we do it together. Thank you, thank  you for taking the time to be here. [APPLAUSE]. Thank you. >>>: I had to ask this woman five times to marry me, finally the fifth time  I was in South Africa trying to see Nelson man dell I came back to her
apartments and got off  the plane I said Jill you have my Irish up, I'm asking you one more time. Only one  more time, not when, but will you marry me, she goes like this, okay. [LAUGHTER]. I tell you what, she did it. I married a Philly girl.
