Delhi Government is planning to implement a digital solution in this matter to check whether the PUC of your vehicle is valid or not . Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation DTIDC has released this informat
ion. Actually friends, to prevent vehicular pollution in Delhi, Delhi Government wants to check those vehicles which are running on the roads of Delhi without valid pollution certificate, for this Delhi Government has installed CCTV at all the petrol pumps of Delhi. Preparations are being made to install cameras and digital screens , so that such vehicles can be identified through their number plates . So friends, when you go to the petrol pump to fill petrol with your vehicle, the camera instal
led there will be able to identify the number plate of your vehicle. Will scan the PUC and at that time if the PUC of your vehicle is found expired then it will be shown on the digital screen installed there that the PUC of this vehicle has expired and the employee present at the petrol pump will inform you that the PUC of your vehicle has expired. The PUC that you have is expired and it will ask you to renew it and you will also see this information on the digital screen installed at the petrol
pump and friends, after 3 hours the system will automatically check the PUC of your vehicle again and if If you have not got PUC done for your vehicle , then the system will issue a challan of Rs 10,000 on your vehicle. CCTV will be installed at such places at the petrol pump that the number plates of all the vehicles coming to the petrol pump can be scanned. Data released by Delhi Transport Department shows that about 22 lakh vehicles are running on Delhi roads without valid PUC, out of which
19 lakh are two wheelers. Friends, if you are caught driving a vehicle without a valid PUC in Delhi, then a fine of Rs 10,000 is imposed, if caught for the first time, Rs 10,000 and if caught without a valid PUC for the second time, a fine of Rs 20,000 can be imposed on your vehicle. And the Transport Department also says that if you are caught driving without a valid PUC, you can face a fine of Rs 10,000 or 6 months jail or both. Pollution checking centers have been set up at almost all the pet
rol pumps in Delhi, where you can get the PUC of your vehicle done, and if your vehicle passes the pollution checking centre, then you also get a certificate from there which is valid for 3 months.
