ee  to get the last little bit of equipment for rainforest challenge! We pretty  much bought everything in the United States except of the actual camping equipment  such as a tent - so now we're test fitting! Bro that's perfect I mean it's like.... Hahahah! It works. It gets the job done. Bro  better than the other stuff we're Looking at that actually works out pretty good! Here's another setup but I kind of like this and Obviously because RAINFOREST CHALLENGE! ts it! I love this! R.F.C. - short for Rainforest Challenge is an  annual race in the jungle of Malaysia during Monsoon season and has been around since  1997! It's been ranked as the 3rd toughest Off-road race in the world and is even in the  top 10 of the toughest motorized races on the Planet! The race goes for 10 days straight  throughout 5 different stages! Each stage Lasts between 1 and 3 days and consists of  around 10 SS's. So-called "special stages" 3, 2, 1 go! Run this way now! his way! All SS's start with the driver Outside of their vehicle at the Marshall tent  where they have to press the timer - then run To their car which is parked in a taped off  square - complete the course - park in the Same exact square where they started  in - run to the timer and stop it. Yes yes! Russia! The cool thing about this event  is that it has competitors from Over 20 different nations and all  of them have their own recipe! For the most part you can say they are relatively  small 4

x4 Vehicles, limited to a 40 inch tire. These guys run multiple massive  winches: PTO so gear driven winches, Hydraulic or 24 volt electric winches. The typical wheelbase is around 105 inches, Some of them have rear steer or at least cutting  brakes to allow for a very tight turning radius. The engines are turboed 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder or  even V8's - a lot of them are also diesel powered But more about this later in a separate video! Ok, we're at SS8 and our homies from Malaysia  and the Silver Samurai are coming through! Those guys know how to drive! They are killing it! The Vietnamese team is going to go and the

y got a pretty pretty cool uh rig! It's  got a V8 and it sounds incredible! Look at that! It sounds like a freaking LS! WOOO! Yeah very technical climb!  Super technical! look at that! oh no! Their rear tire is stuck on a tree! And  they take the tree down and continue! Wooohoo! dude that was insane! If you think this is crazy already you better hang tight! ble action! Now we're  back at camp and it started to rain, so welcome to the rainforest! I've never  sweated so much in my life as I did today! That was Poland! I've learned so many languages in like 8 hours! It's crazy!  The amount nationalities that are here! So cool! That right there is our beer  supplier! He got like 30 packs of beer and in the back of his truck so he's the man! What's happening here? Massage uh? VIP treatment because I've learned all these languages I  get the VIP treatmen

We just packed all of our gear up. We had to break  down camp and now we're heading to a new stage, new location today in t

he jungle! In the jungle  somewhere but it's not very far I think it's like 10 km from here or something like that. We're  just headed a little bit deeper into the Jungle! [Music] We have officially arrived at the next stage  and the next campsite so racing and camping is now on the same location! You can see  we're in the middle of the Jungle! There's absolutely no wind here... but we  at least we believe maybe if there's wind, we're the first ones to get it! So that's Will - that's me! Down there behind that bush is  a big river! And  here they bring in water from the river, filter it it, then it goes into these tanks s

o you  get fresh drinking water! I think that's awesome! It rains here every single day! Usually multiple  times and the problem is that the camp is set up in a little bit of a slope! So this may turn into a river! This is the hottest I have ever been! You can drink the air! It is so insanely humid! You think you're just  sitting in a waterfall all day long! Awesome little side fact: The organizers  and volunteers around RFC clean up every little bit of trash after each  day and actually revisit every single stage after the race to  plant trees everywhere they went! h! You're always on edge here! You  want to make sure you don't get run over or a rock flies and hits you! Then you also want to make sure you don't lean on a tree too much because there's ants,  leeches, snakes it is the freakin' jungle! Let's see what what's in store for us today! All right! I just switched into some clothes...  I'm wearing stuff from the first day again. Just trying to be resourceful with what I got  and not run through all of my dry clothes. The tarp situation here was semi

ideal.  Will and I are right here - this guy's bed got completely soaked with water came through here. It was raining all night and the entire camp is muddy now, a lot of leaks in the tarp. Here's our little charging station. I currently have my power bank on the charge. It's a  whole orchestra here to keep the show going. Not for the faint of heart. I took my hat off my off my sneakers and something came flying out of it and stung me in my finger!  You can barely see it but it hurts like crazy

and I feel like my finger is swelling a little bit! Jungle life! I'm telling you! Who's in the lead? Do we  know? Mostly Thailand... yeah This is SS14! This was a stage that they also  ran yesterday but not everybody finished it so I walked my butt out here and now we're  trying to cover this. It's almost like a creek bed but it's it is super muddy! Non-Stop!  There's deep mud the entire way through. Very rutted out, very jungly and  very humid as you can tell maybe. I got covered in mud! OMG! G

ood start of the day [Music] He's buried to his hip in mud! [winching sound] He should've use a snatch block!  He didn't use a snatch block and went around the corner and now  it's pulling him into the bank [Music] There is no coming through here unless  you have 60 inch tractor tires or something. Plus portals and a big block. What's crazy to me is that the R1 and the R2 cars are driving on the same courses! So the  madness that you just saw - that was a R1 car! The R1 class is RFC's unlimited

class!  Everything is legal here as long as you meet the safety requirements  and stay below a 40 inch tire! R2 means stock modified.  Original chassis, modified body. R3 is the stock class. Original  chassis, original body. Portal axles with extra ground clearance  rear steer, hydraulic steering is not allowed. Basically just safety,  slight suspension and tire upgrades. We're exhausted. Both of us we are really  really really exhausted already. This has taken the life out of us. I think  we've

overdone it a little bit in the last few days with filming and running  around. We're paying for it right now. Every single bone in our body is aching  bad and this is just the beginning! We're only on day 4 of 10! I hope we can  make it to the end... I really do... we talked to the officials about the  upcoming stages and the most famous, the most brutal stage of RFC is  something called "The Twilight Zone" The Twilight Zone can be 30 - 40 miles  straight through the forest! No team support, n

o pit support, nothing! It can take  up to 30 hours so people sleep in the jungle! They don't even bring anything! They just sleep on the ground! It's wild! I want to do it! I really want to do it because  it is part of the experience and it is part of RFC but the way we already feel...  I'm worried man... I really am worried [Music] As Will and I are walking to the Jungle  of Malaysia we're discovering our first issue. Well not the first issue but a new  issue. We really have to poop. Both of u

s. I feel like 10 lbs heavier than usually  it is either poop in the jungle and get bitten by a snake or... the people here  don't use regular toilets. It's basically a hole in the ground and then you squat. We're a lot taller and a lot heavier and they don't have anything to hold on  to. We're definitely not the first ones to use it and if you lose balance  you got it's going to be a shitty day. Look at this guys this place! It looks  unreal! I feel like I'm in some Indiana Jones movie or somet

hing. I'm sitting here in  the jungle waiting for the cars to come through and there's noises around me everywhere! It's  crazy you hear something out of every corner! The leak in the power searing cooler came  back... so now they have no more searing and they already fixed it with JB Weld  earlier... that didn't work. Okay so - the Russian driver  here was about to come down and was trying to hold on to something and everybody  started freaking out about a bee and we were like yeah - a bee? led right through it! That is insane! These winches just pull these cars up there  like it's nothing! That is a 90° wall guys! Whooo! That was close! That is at  least 8 - 9 ft and straight up! I found Will! Will was at the  camp with Lawrence and them. So I was walking to the next stage and I saw like  both of their cars taken apart. They destroyed the portal box, they broke the portal teeth,  completely twisted the shaft and bent the housing! Too much watata! Also too much air pressure  dude!

Like what the heck! But we'll see... we're going to the next stage, looks  promising sounds like a lot of watata! [engine noise] Come on! Make it over that freaking  log! Oh! ... and winch again. They're pretty long and a lot of them are going from the river  into the jungle and we just can't run that fast. It

's really really  hard to capture the race today. [Engine starts up] Oh man I love these guys! I love Russia! I'm back in the jungle. Lawrence's team is about to go - the Silver Samurai. ight over it you got to need a little bit bigger tire and  a lot more woopow's to make it over that. And the next mud hole with absolutely no escape... I found my shoe! I got no four-wheel drive in my Crocs anymore! Marvin has officially lost four wheel drive on both shoes! Show me Marvin you think they're going to warranty that? I don't think so... Alright we're sitting back at Camp my little  wound here on my finger is half as bad. They gave me some disinfectant or whatever to put  on there. I

t's kind of blue and weird but I'll survive it if it doesn't get any worse. My finger's kind of swollen. I tried to get my Crocs, then I lost balance and grabbed into  this tree that was covered in Thorns about this size and grabbed right into them! That's what caused this. Whatever. He's very hardhead about it. He's like  all right fine and I'm like - dude I'm the same way but like we're in the  jungle! We don't know what this is! What we're touching... there's spiders the  size of a shoe! They

're Chihuahua size! That's no joke! All right? The  last thing you need is a reaction that will cause major issues down the line! I'm personally getting used to the humidity... I'm I'm drenched but I'm I'm getting used to it.  It doesn't bother me as much but I think Marvin is having secondary effects to his malaria  medicine because he's sweating really bad! Here's the next problem guys...  Everybody here is getting sick! Even Oleg, Who has done countless RFC's, is  vomiting, diarrhea and fever

! So far all I got is I had a little bit diarrhea one day  but usually the only thing that I'm still battling is my sweating! More and more  people in our camp are getting sick dude!
