Today, we’re ranking 16 hero from indie animation because I got so emotional from some of them journey in the news show Shrike Sanchez forms his own mercenary company with his best friend, Bulldog. Thanks to his impatient, hot-headed, and lazy demeanor, Shrike often gets himself and Bulldog into all sorts of trouble. You know the story when the main character is just super annoying at the start. And I kind of get tired because I hear him complain about so many things. Rawhide is one of the sheri
ffs of the Gulch. I think she's kind of cute, and her weapon is a slingshot, which is a very fun idea for a sheriff. However, she is too childish and super violent. Every time she steps into the story, she fights with a lot of people, adhering to standard trope characters. Waylon is an arrogant, dishonest, and self-centered boy who dreams of one day becoming a true outlaw. However, such ambition is often held back, mostly due to cowardice, swagger, and poor marksmanship. Waylon is a fun characte
r. Unfortunately, he gets overshadowed by the spider girl. Pomni is an anxious, cautious and mentally fragile female with a longing to escape from the circus, terrified that she can't leave and she can't even remember her own name.Despite these traits, Pomni is shown be caring of others. Not much is currently known about her, other than she is a human who is trapped in the Digital Circus. And she is traumatize a lot which is kind of fun to see. All the main characters are evil and they mostly ta
ke joy in their job. People in hell seem proud of being killers, so I consider them heroes in hell. Things are obviously totally different in Hell. Blitzo is not a nice person, but I love him anyway. He's hilarious, pathetic, and very, very cool. I just hope he shows some kind of progress or change. We don't have to go all the way and make the show into another one about redemption though. I would actually dislike this, but we do need some progress on Blitzo. The story follows two kids, Port and
Umi, and their pet crab, Jolly Roger, as they set sail into the ocean to fix a now broken moon. Port is a naive and cheerful optimist. He is a really nice kid who wants to help those he cares about despite all the danger it could entail. And one particularly nice detail in the end of the episode really warmed my heart. Meggy need to figures out what to do next in life while also helping her new friend, Auri, to fight criminals on the island, as well as dealing with her shadow counterpart, Shado
w Meggy. The villainous character, Shadow Meggy, exists in Meggy's subconscious mind, serving as the manifestation of her negative thoughts and emotions. It really shows to me that Meggy is not just a cartoon character but a person with real thoughts and real struggles. The idea of the devil’s daughter as a Disney Princess bringing kindness and joy to hell is a fascinating concept. Charlie is pretty naïve. She thinks she can redeem everyone and solve everything with a smile. Essentially, I think
she'll learn that you don't always have to be happy and that you can be optimistic and idealistic without being naive. Understanding that not all demons can be redeemed or even likely to change for the better will be an important lesson for her. Tari is one of many professional Meta Runners, with an ability that allows her to transfer her mind into any video game she plays. At first, Tari is described as being insecure and shy, but friendly around the people she hangs out with. She has shown to
have grown during her time in the story, displaying a more mature and "cooler" demeanor. She is depicted as a bolder character, putting herself at risk to protect others. Great character development. "Atlas and the Stars" follows the story of a human and an alien trying to make their way back home after mysteriously being tossed across universes. I love that we can understand why Atlas probably wants to leave. The way she talks to the ship when flying it, we can safely assume she never had many
friends, and she would prefer to be alone and isolated. I love the fact that Atlas is the one who is awkward with interaction. She has flaws, but I think with a human who just wants to be flying in the stars, they aren't good with interaction. I didn’t expect an animation about stick figures to create an epic story like this. The second Coming, is far more innocent and happier than the other stick figures. The previous Chosen One fought for himself and his own personal freedom when he was creat
ed. The second one just fights for fun until he sees his friend deleted by The Dark Lord, which quickly triggers rage and retribution for his lost friend. He has shown great courage, jumping in to help The Chosen One against the enhanced Dark Lord despite knowing of the massive gap in their strengths. He cares deeply for his friends, and his greatest desire is to keep them safe. Rocky is generally very destructive, reckless, and unpredictable. He takes clear joy in the thrill of crime, and while
he does panic when put in danger, he will ease up after a bit before exclaiming joy in the danger. This is really interesting to me because he has many traits of a real villain in him. In the trailer, it seems we see he has a very tragic background. I feel terrible for Rocky, seeing so many people toss him out and treat him like trash. It looks like we're really going to see Rocky's backstory properly, the depth of his character, and it looks like his relationship with Mitzi is a lot deeper tha
n originally expected. I love how creative he is, and I could talk with him all day. Edd's humor brought the show together. Edd is really relatable, and the characters look so huggable. I love how goofily Edd is drawn. The characters aren't really deep, profound, or extremely engaging, but they ARE ALL ENTERTAINING. In fact, Edd (in the series) was based on the creator, and the other characters were based on his friends. It really shows how strong of a bond the real Edd had, that his friends wer
e willing to continue the series. It's sad that Edd Gould passed away, but he will always be remembered. I like her. She is an angsty teen with cool powers who is trying to discover what is going on around her and to her, which I find pretty neat. She is the one who sets the story into motion, and she can be funny at times. Her drive to learn what the AbsoluteSolver is and how to get rid of it is a good motive for her and the story. The way she interacts with other characters is also pretty impr
ess; she likes N, has a sort of rivalry with V, and wants to convince Doll that they're on the same side. Uzi, at her core, strikes me as someone who has so much love and passion for the people around her but can't communicate that and ends up shutting herself out or acting mean as a defense mechanism. Her learning to be more vulnerable and open thanks to N is so sweet and makes all their scenes so fun to watch. I don’t know if this can be called an animation or not, but I love it. "The Stone Ki
ngdom" is a great original take on the tale of Medusa and Perseus. It's a beautiful story about a girl who has no one to love because she was born with a curse and a man who has no one to love because he wanted the power of the curse for himself. I find it heartbreakingly sad that she becomes the monster everyone thought she was. Having lost everything, she becomes what others made her out to be. I’m sad there’s no happy ending, but I realize that’s the point. Medusa’s tale was never meant to be
happy and cute. It was and forever will be a devastating tale. She never wanted to hurt anyone, and when she saw that he was using this power for bad, she knew she had to stop him. The part where she sees her mother again and runs to hug her had me tearing up! And as she turned to dust, taking the shape of the cobra head for a moment, was beautiful. GODSPEED follows the journey of Iris, a young woman, and her adorable karaoke-bot sidekick named Bowie as they abandon the homes of their crumbling
world. She is willing to sacrifice her only means of escape from this planet for the kid she hardly knows. But she still holds hope that one day she can escape this planet, that one day she can meet her uncle Ryan again, although she sees that many people have given up. Seeing the couple that lived their lives the best they could, trying to find some sort of solace in their dying world, really got her thinking. You can see their life story just by looking at the house and how they lived. The wo
rld buried them in darkness, and they put up walls of light and streamers to celebrate. And then they went out on their own terms after expressing their wish to never be forgotten. After seeing all those things, she is still willing to risk her life to go through the storm, only because their little hope really gets me moving.
