@U2WB

There’s a reason why retro is becoming popular again. I believe it’s because so many of us long for past times when the world was a better place, life was more cheerful and less stressful, and the future looked bright instead of bleak.

@amandamedina2533

Aaaaand this is why I never get rid of my old gadgets. They’re all still in perfect working condition. 😂

@stormmitchell2776

Boys, we're back in business!

@beanbon666

Of course, life gets too easy and boring when you have a device that does everything withing 3 seconds with little to no effort. Analog tech comes with it's distinctive quirks such as its look, noise, touch, and its feel.

@zed_interrobang

LOL now everyone thinks their old junk is worth something. now all the marketplace and reseller sites prices will jump up, and everything just sits there, nothing being sold. yeah, i like my old stuff... but i'm not paying more for it than i did when it was brand new!

@thunderbird1921

I'm not surprised to see TVs from like the 80s and 90s becoming a bit more popular again. Yes, they're heavy, bulky and not always in high definition, but guess what? The quality/durability is often FAR higher than the modern stuff that will be in the junk yard in like 10 years or so.

@dragus359

This just makes me sad that I lost my Gameboy Color a few years ago. Found the box, found the cartridges, absolutely can’t find the actual unit. Sadness and tears.

@anthonyxavier6300

You should show the sold listing instead of the asking price.

@LaoTzudonym

Finally I can justify to my husband why I have a drawer full of ourdated cell phone chargers

@BenjaminHartleyReturns

Because it works and because analogue physical mediums can’t be deleted from history by corporations.

@AveryKiwi

These retro techs have been trending since the pandemic started, most of them were at their peak in 2021, however they are starting to declining slowly in popularity recently.

@GoonieLord

A few years ago I was walking around my neighborhood with my cassette player on hand enjoying the Greatful Dead. I got stared by a few when I had to flip my cassette to side B. Clearly the folks staring were those who had no clue to the ancient tec in my hands

@littleredflying-fox

I guess I'll hold on to my Atari 400, ti994a, and C64 computers after all...

@humankerbal3623

I hate these news stories because they encourage people to sell their old things to hoarders and collectors for absurd prices instead of hobbiest, its especially frustrating with things that are usually extremely common

@goggleuser12

Shoutout to all the dvd/CD collectors 😅 And if you still own an Apex DVD player, you're the real MVP

@user-nf9or7pp6o

I prefer old school items. They lasted for years and were better made. I have 2 tv sets d old versions and they are still working. ❤❤❤

@3DJapan

I've been trying to learn how to repair old consoles but even broken ones are outrageously expensive.

@LostMySauce

digs up Motorola Razr from garage

@OmniEthereal7

This is why I keep all my game consoles to the best of my ability, we live too far in the digital world and these devices I grew up in still has their charm! Always have something like a Game Boy to enjoy the simplest things

@phakeAccount

Just because that's the listing price doesn't mean that's what people are paying for it.
