Very similar happened here in Plano about a month or two ago. It isn't 2004 , it is 2024. DFW had about a 25 year run of being the "sweet spot". Good economy, good jobs, not too many people, not too much crime. That is over forever now; DFW, Houston, SA and Austin will all be varying levels of Los Angeles in about 20 years.
