[Music] foreign [Music] systems are a trade only distributor of I.T products and solutions facility here in lidcombe Sydney there's roughly eight and a half thousand skus we've got the very big server racks big monitors and lots of very small products as well in your thumb drives and CPUs pneumatic are an integrator of automated warehousing Solutions system we've deployed here is the auto store foreign store is a cube based system where bins are stacked in a aluminum grid nine robots three Goods
to person ports and we have 662 bins products are put into grid manually via an operator from a a grid and then when it's required following an order is picked up and delivered back to the Carousel port for the operator the robots have two batteries in play and they run approximately about eight hours during a shift and the robots get low on charge they'll return to their charging station where they'll stay and play for up to an hour where they can get full recovery of 100 the requirements for
this auto store project were namely one to save labor two to save on footprint but thirdly for leader systems to walk the talk of how you can use technology to better improve your business the implementation took approximately eight weeks from start to finish we went through a period of covert challenges through the pandemic working from home and homeschooling really started to take off webcams and all the other it infrastructure that were necessary really had an explosion of throughput previous
ly before the auto store system was implemented a large order of a few different types of hard drives would take five to six hours to pick with this new auto store system they've been able to pick a really similar type of order in 30 minutes the auto store has been referred to the space saver you can actually save space up to four times that of a manual system there is a day of higher volume orders you can just run the system for longer hours to make sure that you get your orders out the door wi
thin that time frame with the auto store system security is built in you literally can't get into the system manually without all the appropriate controls so it was another key benefit from the system forum dramatic have a consultative approach we're not here just to sell equipment it's really important that we develop a strong relationship with our customer so domatic offers 24-hour so yes we've had quite a successful roll out of this technology here for leader the other day when we were talkin
g leader said they considered dematica's family and they're really proud of this technology as well

It's pointless installing a system this small. Your pick rate will be lower than static shelving because the shuttles can't deliver totes to the operator fast enough. Also, the density enhancements mean very little when the volumetric cost of the system is so much higher than static shelving. With only 8,500 skus it would have been cheaper and more labour efficient to just add more steel shelving.
