When Sam Altman, the CEO of the company OpenAI came to India Huge chaos was created, you must remember He went to a conference And somebody asked him this If you want to build foundational models, how should we think about that? Where is it that a team from India you know three super smart Engineers with you know not 100 million but let's say 10 million could actually build something truly substantial Now, Sam Altman replied to this question in a very interesting manner We're going to tell you i
t's totally hopeless to compete with us on training Foundation models you shouldn't try and it's your job to like try anyway Huge chaos was created by this reply Many articles were written and videos were made on this And the CEO of TechMahindra wrote in a tweet that Challenge Accepted After observing such a huge chaos, Sam Altman said don't misinterpret my comment I did not want to disrespect anyone Look, whatever be the intention of Sam Altman I felt this comment to be very interesting If you
zoom out on this whole scenario And look at the big picture then You would also feel that, This comment tells us many things about India and the US Major tech giants have their headquarters in the US And IT services are the major work area of the Indian companies Many products of the US are available in the global market But no global product is produced by India Big tech is completely dominated by the US And the last 10 decades have completely belonged to big tech And the coming decade is compl
etely going to belong to AI And the US is clearly leading in the field of AI as well Let's understand in this video, What special has been done by the US? And if India wants to lead this field What should be our Key Responsibility Areas? Look, if we observe the world from the year 2000 to 2010 The top 10 companies with the highest valuation Only had 2 companies from the US These 2 companies belonged to the tech industry But in the last decade Alphabet, the parent company of Google, Amazon, NVIDI
A, and Meta Many companies from the US have been included in this list Two major clear trends are visible in this list 8 companies from the top 10 are from the US And 6 out of these 8 companies come from the tech industry Tech companies are creating a huge amount of revenue that The GDP of some companies is even less than the revenue of some companies Due to a well-established business, A complete ecosystem of start-ups has been flourishing in the US Because the majority of these companies inves
t in the tech start-ups Even Microsoft invested $ 1 Billion in open AI when it was in its Research phase Why so many tech companies have only developed in the US? I will tell you about this but first answer this question India does not have its own version of ChatGPT It does not mean that you should stop using ChatGPT We must use it for our own benefits Because literally, people are making their professional lives easier by using this College students are making their assignments through this Yo
utubers are making their scripts through this If you want to know how could you also use ChatGPT for these things I would recommend you to take 3 Hour workshop from our segment sponsor Growth School The founder of growth school Vaibhav Sisinty himself is hosting this workshop This workshop is paid But with the link I am providing in the description, The first 1000 people who would register through my link would be able to attend this workshop absolutely free Through this workshop, you can learn,
How you can become more effective with the use of AI and ChatGPT Whether you are a working professional, founder, freelancer, or creator This workshop is going to help you all I attended this workshop in the past They teach how to write prompts in ChatGPT How you can build your resume How you can write a cold email In fact, they also teach you how you can even prepare for an interview through ChatGPT In my opinion, if you want to know how to operate ChatGPT in the most basic manner This worksho
p is made for you Growth School teaches you practical skills and helps you get in the top 1% population of the world Already more than 5 lakh students have taken their courses Venture Capitalists like Kunal Shah, Tanmay Bhatt, and Sequoia have invested in Growth School So, head to the description of this video and click on the link Only the first 1000 people would get this workshop absolutely free Now, let's get back to our topic Look, The US took two simple steps for dominating the big tech aro
und the world They started from the basics, The work that does not require great innovation The US started outsourcing these in countries like India, China, Mexico, Philippines Labour Cost in these companies was highly less in these countries in comparison to the US Work worth Lakhs could be done in thousands in these countries This allowed the big tech companies in the US to save a lot of money And the money saved was invested by these companies to make their core areas stronger That's why if y
ou observe the customer support call centers of the companies in the US You would find them all in India After this, to improve their core areas The companies in the US started attracting talent from India Have a look at the companies in the US From Engineers to CEOs, The majority of these positions have been handled by the Indians These people from India were attracted by the tech companies in the US by providing them with better education, job, salary, and quality of life in comparison to thos
e available in India Albert Einstein, Elon Musk All these people came to the US as an immigrant The US is able to attract the top layer in their country That's why if you observe the Indians comprise only 1% of the population in the US But Indians contribute 6% of the total tax generated in the US Today, 1 out of every 5 doctors in the US have their origin in India This means the US has acquired the skill to attract the top talent from the world After attracting the top talent To improve their c
ore business, these companies, Invest a high amount of money in Research and Development In the US, Federal and States Governments and non-profit organizations along with these companies Together invest around $ 800 Billion in the field of Research and Development And this makes up around 3% of the GDP of the US Comparatively, if we look at India, Research and Development contributes only 0.7% of the GDP of India The fact becomes more interesting because the GDP of the US is already 8 times more
than the GDP of India In fact, we get to know from a report published by the Niti Aayog that The money that is spent in the field of research and development in India Is one of the lowest in the world When we did a breakdown of all the capital that is invested in Research and Development in the US We get to know that Two-thirds of this total capital is not invested by the US government It is done by the private companies And that's why due to this reason the government of the US backs the priva
te sector in the US A competitive environment is created in the country by supporting the private sector The quality of the products improves on their own And that's why the government of the US provides tax benefits and rewards to businesses for conducting Research and Development in any field And this does not cause only problems for the public as well They openly support this thing But in India, if you observe, Businessmen are taken into account as a thief People have become habitual to lazin
ess Whenever they hear about privatization, People start protesting on the roads with banners in their hands If you look at the next point The ideology of Research in the US also focuses in the higher education system as well Look at the list of the world's best universities The majority of this list is comprised of the universities in the US In fact, the majority of the people who travel to the US from India, Do not go there for a job They go to the US for pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree
s After this, they are selected for a job in the US Why do the universities in the US are the best in the world? There are many reasons behind this The education curriculum in the US does not focus on rott learning Rather it teaches practical skills to the learners In the Indian education system, Science, Commerce, and Arts are divided in such a manner that Untouchability is being practiced And the universities in the US do not have any such restrictions The curriculum in the US is more flexible
People are provided the freedom to choose subjects according to their preference Due to this skill development of students takes place all around You all must already know the condition of the Indian Education System I have made a detailed video on this topic as well You can also watch that video Hence, if we make a summary of what the US is doing best, it includes, The US does all its cheap and less important tasks in the other countries Expensive things that are the core focus of the US are d
one in the US The US attracts good talent for doing such tasks And to groom that talent The US provides the best curriculum in its universities And the US invests heavily in the field of Research and Development After observing all this, one question should definitely come to your mind What should we do and say? Wow, Mr. Narendra Modi, Wow Today, a shift in the mindset is the utmost need of India A major change could not be brought in the education system of India in a single day The New educati
on policy might show some significant changes in the next 5-20 years But we all can try to work hard in the current education system In India, some particular cities are highly developed These cities have ample companies and opportunities for jobs On the other hand, there are many places in India where unemployment is still prevailing Unskilled people are living here The students are forced to do course after courses There is a need for a bridge in the middle The problem is that the majority of
the students in India Pursue Graduation after High School and Intermediate Education And then starts preparing for a government job And if they have pursued B.Tech They start waiting for the post of software testing from any IT company The fact of wasting 4-5 years in the preparation of a government exam does not make any sense With this if you have graduated in Civil or Mechanical Engineering And you dream of pursuing your career in an IT company as a software tester Even this thing does not ma
ke any sense The number of people graduating in India every year Everybody of them does not need a government job nor do those jobs have ample vacancies The skills that Private Firms are searching for Are not taught anywhere in India in any education course Have a look at the reports Unemployability is a more severe problem than unemployment That's why try to develop such skills yourself during your college life That is relevant in the market at that time After this, apply for jobs in the simila
r companies Today, many remote jobs have also been created Check once on the LinkedIn platform The people in India are rich in potential The problem is that people are wasting their potential by working in the wrong direction If these things are stopped, India would experience a boom in development Another change is required in the private sector of India as well We can freely say Challenge Accepted to Sam Altman But the reality of the IT service industry in India Is known to everybody Mass hiri
ng is done It is related to Servicing There is no major development of products Many people are engaged in software testing And many people are always sitting on benches due to the absence of projects In this way, the potential of the youth is getting destroyed Neither they are getting a good job Nor a good salary Hence how can one get the motivation to get innovative? The investment ecosystem in India is investing money in such companies Whose business model has already been proved in the forei
gn countries In simple words, money is invested heavily in the companies related to copy-paste If Uber gets successful Introduce Ola If Amazon gets Successful Introduce Flipkart Where is the original idea? Where is the innovation? Let me know one product that was first developed in India and then opted for by the entire world When people invest money in 20 innovative projects after trusting them And provide them with the freedom to fail After this, one OpenAI is formed Whose product brings a rev
olution in the whole world When every single penny of money would be invested in the companies related to copying and pasting The product or service that was already popular in some other country We would be forced to stay happy with the former product Apart from this, from the rallies of the political parties To trending pages on the social media I notice one thing a lot And that is communal tension There is a need to control this The Teenagers who could work on some revolutionary ideas in the
next 20 years If they stay stuck in the debates related to Hindus and Muslims Definitely, other countries would overtake us If the US did not stand as a superpower China would take that position And India would hardly get any chance Look, it is not like everything is not going well in India I recently made a video on what great things are going on in India The whole world has an opinion that The next decade would completely belong to India But if we want to completely make this statement true Th
ere is a need for a major shift in the mindsets of the people at the ground level And there is a need to face discussions that involve such uncomfortable truths If you align with me Share this video Like this video Subscribe to this channel for more such videos I will meet you in the next video Till then take care of yourselves Jai Hind Vande Mataram And yes, I have provided the link to the workshop of Growth School in the description Do check it out

@andy8357

In India we are busy in competing each other on who's more religious than other.

@descendantofbharatbharatva7155

“Identity is built on actual cultural and communal history.” “Innovation is the domain of original thinkers.”

@binayakchakraborty10

Your open letter is highly relevant. My inner circle always emphasizes how the next two decades are crucial for India, but we can't solely rely on the youth factor. Clearly, we need a change in mindset at all levels, and your assessment is spot on. Kudos to you and your team for the right articulation. I hope this reaches a larger audience sooner.

@laukikdesai2361

In my opinion: 1. Basic etiquettes and social awareness till standard 5 should be compulsory across all schools along with the usual curriculum. 2. Freedom to choose subjects of interest from standard 5 onwards should be available. 3. Interaction between colleges and institutes of repute across all streams of education should be encouraged. 4. Grading system and exams should be designed to develop critical thinking and technical skills as compared to rote learning. 5. Industry and academia interaction should not be limited only to occasional guest lectures from Industry persons. 6. Professors need to encourage students about current trends in their chosen stream of education instead of the standard way of going about their careers. There are many more but these are the ones which would be little useful

@Akhand_Bharatvarsh01

India is for reserved, not for Deserved. !!

@nomadexplorer6682

India must get rid of : 1. Corruption in Govt. 2. Communal polarisation. 3. Superstition. 4. Skewed education policy. Govt should implement: 5. Total tax holiday on R&D. 6. Drastic cut on Reservation policy in education. 7. Allow foreign universities to operate freely in India. 8. Bring down income tax for R&D employees. 7. Give bigger boost to corporates for R&D work. 8. Have a population policy. No political party talks about this. The population proliferation is happening more in the Reserved category as they get the sops, blessings and votes for the parties. It also triggers poor quality and gross indiscipline en masse. Sadly, this is one place, we have managed to beat China, our arch rival.

@Ankitasingh-rv6kx

I don't understand y we get offended when someone points out our weakness we should accept it nd try to improve

@uncanny_cage

🤩You are absolutely right !!!! Exactly match my thoughts on how we are still lacking on global innovation and creativity. And last part on youth wasting time on Hindu Muslim debate was perfect !!

@thename8971

Bro, ye communal tension wali baat last me bahut sahi hai. Matlab maine apne pichle kuch saal social media pe yahi sab karte hue bitaye hai, kaash maine us samay kisi skill developement pe lagaye hote to aaj kuch alag hi baat hoti.

@rauhan_sheikh

This has to be said and talked about more. More power to you man.

@Law.rwo00

People's mindset gotta change. We ain't living the 90's now. 💁‍♂

@MadeInAndhra-rk5mw

Good to see this video - I am a radiologist and moved to US 13 years ago and recently started a You Tube channel in Telugu, My mother tongue - I am addressing the issues of education system here and there. And Yes agree - here the system is more about conceptual learning and not rote memorization. also focus on communication skills and writing skills.

@human-being

It's so true as you said the points, as a UG student I can relate and strongly agree.

@atif512

I am a student studying in South Korea, I came here to understand what made South Korea succeed in the same period of time as India. The points raised are completely valid, moreover, additionally the focus on the last part regarding social security is an underestimated factor for attracting talent. Moreover, completely agree towards the point that we should start accepting the problems which is indeed the first step towards solving the problem, instead of arguing or neglecting the real issues with the play of words, it will just keep us in delusion for longer.

@arcnemesis

Very important video. The part you said about experimentation is really important. Most people don't realize the fact that one successful product that we see in the market is a consequence of multiple reiterations of base level MVPs. In order for us to grow, we first have to get rid of Fence-paradox mindset amongst us.

@littlestar5737

Majority college graduate two countries: USA: I want to be best at programming, management, medicine and work for Google, Amazon or start business. India: I want to pass Government entrance exam and become central govt employee so I can make money without doing any work. India can never become super power. It cannot even become developed country in next 40-50 years. I say it because I was born in India and now a US citizen. I see both sides without any bias.

@yash_kambli

Innovation, research are the luxuries. Only wealthy nations can afford it. (It doesn't mean india can't do this but not in the same level as western countries). Starving man can't think beyond the food. so India need to invest heavily into education, health care, transport, infrastructure and power generation along with this banking, bureaucracy and judiciary reforms are much needed. Once it done u will see exponential growth in science, technology, arts, literature, sports and overall HDI.

@braineaterzombie3981

India mai social media deshbhakt khub mil jaayenge lekin jab indian products ko promote karne ki baat hoti h toh piche hat jaate h which is bitter truth.

@ashimnb87

The same way I've been started thinking since few years back, feeling confident that my analysis is on the right track but at the same time feeling depressed thinking the hursh reality. Until we start thinking on the problems and we start talking on it, realise it and work on it, we'll be self satisfied only (like comparing ourselves with Pakistan). This self satisfaction will not add any value either to the individual or (hence) to the nation.
