Higher, the king of the sky He’s flying too fast and he’s flying too high He’s flying higher, an eye for an eye The legend will never die Higher! Born a soldier, from the horseback to the skies And the legend never dies And he’s flying And he’s flying And he’s flying ========= Historic Fact ========== A great symbol of WWI, Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known the world over as the ‘Red Baron’, was a fighter pilot for the German Air Service. Considered the deadliest flying ace, he had 80 confirmed allied kills to his name. He was known as the ‘Red Baron’ because of his distinctive red plane. German pilots: HIGHER! Japanese Pilots: LOWER!
This man killed so many allies, the allies were like "Y'know what, top fucking job lad, we wish you were on our side" And then gave him a funeral with full military honours. Ace of Aces indeed.
I love that Sabon immortalizes historical figures like this. They don't care if he was friend or foe. He was a hero to someone, and that's all that matters. Tell his story for us to remember.
the only bad part of this song is that it ends
"Do not focus in a single enemy and also ignore the injuries youve got" -Red baron
So can we just agree that any history teacher who starts the world wars off with sabaton would be the best
girl: my standards aren't that high Her standards:
Makes me immensely proud watching my 3 year old daughter and my 6 year old son trying to sing along
In the days of the Red Baron, a pilot's skill was measured in the number of enemy planes he could shoot down without taking any hits. Today, a pilot's skill is measured by how far they can push the limits of human flight without anyone getting hurt. Even so, when space travel becomes common and pilots take to new heights, I hope none of them forget the skills of the Red Baron and try to vie for the title of "Ace of Aces" among the stars.
Sabaton is the only professional music person who actually replies to comments on their videos! Other popular people/artists don't even care! That's why I love this band!
Damn, German pilots from both World Wars are skilled. Aside from Manfred von Richthofen, we also had Werner Voss, another German ace with 48 kills at the age of 20. Regarded by the Red Baron himself as his potential rival. Survived for a long time while under attack by 8 British fighters before going down by using his plane's agility and maneuverability.
the organ at the start always gives me chills. keep it up mates!
Allied pilots: “Flying circus?” Lol what a shitty name...” *10 seconds later* Allied pilots: “Mom pick me up I’m scared...”
if you think about it sabaton is just making boss music for everyone in history
21th of April... 102 years later, still a Legend... Rest in Peace , von Richthofen...
I’ve always loved that Sabaton doesn’t pick sides in a war all to much. As long as they where hero’s or amazing warriors. They deserve a song.
I was going through the comments and I loved how friendly Sabaton is. I'd say which song is my favorite but I love them all too much.
its amazing how in just a few months into the war he was already an ace
I love how Sabaton respects all heroes. Just like how swordsmen respect each other honor's even if they are enemies
