SCANDINAVIAN Style Apartment TOUR

re are a couple of Apartments below ground that my friends and I like to call the terrarium that space was used as a bakery from the early 1920s and onward then there's the building across the courtyard which is where I live in a second floor walk up while some doors in my building have been been switched out I still have the original one with this beautiful male slot when you open the door you're greeted by another [Music] door this double door situation is common in buildings from this era it

dampens the noise from the stairs outside and also keeps draft at Bay in winter this entry is quite small and has been reconfigured in recent [Music] years the kitchen door used to be here on the left hand side and from what I understand there used to be a transom window above the door I mounted these pegboards and they have been so great for keeping stuff off the floor and for providing hanging space for coats and bags for a little bit of extra storage I hacked an IKEA kids cabinet and created

this storage unit on wheels for shoes and walking [Music] gear it's on Wheels because it will otherwise block the door in case I would want to close it on a rare occasion [Music] on the right is the [Music] bathroom this was only half the space when the apartment was built the toilet was where the shower is now and this part was carved out using part of the entryway I'm grateful that they did extend it but it is still quite [Music] small when I moved in here there was no storage in here aside fr

the kitchen portion I reconfigured it slightly and switched out the cabinet fronts from green to White this time last year it's so much brighter in here now which is essential for me both for filming but also I need every little bit of light I can get here especially in [Music] Winter looking straight ahead are two big windows that Overlook the courtyard and terrarium I love this view when I moved in before Christmas it was like an advent calendar with all the Cozy lights from the apartments [M

usic] across my dining set is still a work in process I love it but I am looking for some chairs scouring the auction sites weekly in the hopes to finding four vintage chairs until I do I'll keep using the stools on the left side of the space is my home [Music] office it's where I edit these videos and manage my [Music] business I like to keep the floor quite empty so I can use it as a backdrop for filming I also love having this big open floor space for working out I get my yoga mat out of the

closet and roll it out here without having to move any furniture I feel that not having any obstacles makes it so much easier to maintain a regular workout schedule since I bought the summerhouse this corner often holds things that are meant for [Music] there currently that's these big baskets that we'll use for storage at the house there's also another crate that I will add to my stash for the root seller I get them for free at a local wholesale store and I'm hoping to store some apples in them

next [Music] fall the mirror behind is an auction find that Villa and I carried home on a windy day quite the adventure if we turn around you see there's an other entrance/exit to this room hidden behind this door is bonus's litter box my vacuum cleaner and my broom [Music] set [Music] [Music] on the wall between the openings I keep a tall ladder hung on wooden brackets the ceilings in this apartment are quite tall so having this easy access to the ladder is great everyone's not a fan but I lov

e both the look of it as well as the practicality of of [Music] it when you leave the kitchen through this door to go into the next room you go through this little passage the head height is much lower here and that's because there's storage above here on the left is my closet when I moved in there was no hanging space in here so I moved some shelves around and added a rod I keep my clothes in here but also stuff like my workout equipment and my sewing machine bonus also has a little spot in her

e at the bottom for when he wants a private moment there's a step stool in here for easy access to the higher shelves and the storage above the little Passage across from the closet is more storage it's where I keep my office supplies filming equipment tools craft and DIY materials [Music] Etc I also use this as my voiceover Studio which is such an upgrade from the blanket over my head [Music] previously the next room was originally the bedroom I use it as my living [Music] room it's the coziest

space and I love spending time here in the evening after [Music] work [Music] I bought this sofa when I moved in here and I like that it's long enough for someone to sleep over on if [Music] needed [Music] still moving the cushions that came with the sofa around and those are a bit odd-sized to be honest my frame TV is mounted on this wall across from the [Music] sofa [Music] I'm Still Loving the coffee table that I bought from the previous owner of this [Music] apartment inside I keep guest [M

usic] beding [Music] next to it are the double doors to the Next Room the double doors were added when the original kitchen was turned into a [Music] bedroom to me this is the perfect size for a bedroom when you live in a 57 m space I'm not someone who sits in beds and works or watches TV I just use it for sleeping so the fact that there's just room for bed and night stance makes total sense to me I repainted this room and added some blackout curtains and it's a really nice calm [Music] space I

also added a radiator in here because just before I bought this apartment they had added the balcony and the radiator under the former window was removed and yes the balcony a balcony was not a must have but rather a nice to have on my list of requirements while apartment hunting I'm very happy that I have one but I honestly didn't spend a ton of time on it last summer the best parts about it is to have a space to air things out and of course to be able to step outside for a moment but I haven't

really sat out there that [Music] much having it enclosed as a CER for bonus is also great but heat doesn't spend much time there either goes for a little peek and a little sniff and then usually comes back inside I do enjoy looking out at the balcony though and I love having some pots with seasonal flowers and plants [Music] [Music] these pots that are still covered up contain hostas that will emerge as soon as it gets a little bit [Music] warmer I have a basket with geraniums that have been i

n my bedroom storage closet over window win and that's waiting to go outside later this spring so when we step back inside from the balcony there's a storage closet on the right this used to be the cold Pantry when this was a kitchen back in the [Music] day the entry to the kitchen was where my headboard is now the stove used to be here in the corner which you can tell by the [Music] floor today I used the former Pantry to store back stock I rarely used bathroom items as well as cleaning supplie

s gardening tools dirt Etc it's an unusual shape because the building staircases behind it so it requires a bit of tatris for things to fit in aside from these 57 square m there's also a small storage unit in the basement it's a standard thing for one to be included when you buy or rent an apartment here in Sweden so it's not an add-on that I paid extra for the size of these can vary a lot and the one I currently have is on the smaller side I'd say [Music] here I currently keep all the textiles

for the summer house in these bags since we don't want them to get damp in an unheated house over winter the bins mostly contain rarely used tools and paint I also have some fabric for project object some seasonal clothing like winter jackets and boots there's also an emergency bin a holiday bin and a bin with some random things that I can't get rid of for various reasons right next to my storage unit is a communal laundry room where I do laundry once a week and there you have it my 57 Square me
