"BackSpace" was created by the incredible Nick & Lexie Trivundza. Be sure to check out Adventure Company's website to learn more about the film and other "out of this world" projects: https://adventurecompany.org/

Pretty sure whoever made this short is a big fan of star wars and stargate. Sounded like the music was taken from both of them and he has his own r2d2 then it ended with him going thru a portal I was like YEAAA this guy loves star wars and gate :D:D:D

@joeled7660

"Is this about last night?" - and then later "We're f*cked." "Well, at least somebody is." Brilliant!

@shawnolson4522

Lead guy was cool. A sense of rebellious adventuring is always likeable. When a flying A.I. is shot and dying but says "I cant feel my legs". Priceless. I loved it.

@Quickened1

I see influences from many different directors of the movies, and video game developers. From story to final rendering, this has instant appeal to some, and repulsion by others. While lacking in the originality dept, it more than makes up for it, in detail! In the end, it was all well done. That's what scifi is all about... Especially for free... Thanx Dust. Thanx Nick and Lexie Trivundza, for BackSpace!!!

@onebridge7231

I’d get the cocky robot knowing my luck! Great job on this one. Would love to see a Part 2 on the other side.

@bunnybearme

I grew up watching Star Trek ToS and Star Wars 4, 5 & 6. The music score in this short totally reminds me of my childhood. Thank you for the nostalgia!

@chelle315

The soundtrack is amazing!!! I can definitely here the Star Wars inspiration! This would make a good Netflix movie.... then again, just about everything on DUST could be a full feature film.

@batterbury4477

Very nice homage to SW ( British Accent round droid) and to even Deadpool with funny dialog. Props to production values on combat uniforms and all the scuffed-up gear. and yes the audience wants more. Totally- A+ work

@Nakamichi_Jun

Decent, really fun to watch. Hard to express a lot of character back story in under 7 minutes. But you people did a great job. SO many answers and mysteries became apparent as it ended... things like, why does the drone think he has legs, did he used to, is he someones consciousness that was uploaded to a drone? Why is this guy afraid of Falcon 5's? What kind of team are they sending??? Can't wait for this to be a full length feature. fingers crossed

@dineshyadav1585

These graphics are still better 😅😅 than some movies

@jeffsnow89

My favorite part of this was the use of the SCAR 17 and the AK pattern rifle. Gave it a sense of being far in the future but not so far that a part of our current world and technology isn't still intact. Most futuristic Scifi movies leave you with a sense of separation from our reality. That small detail created a tie to our current world that made it just a little bit more believable. Reminded me of the scene from Elesium where they had the old AK upfitted with the remote detonating rounds.

@Guy8417

Nice to see one of these where the ending wasn't depressing. I mean, they are all amazing, just nice to have a lighter ending. And i wish this was a series, i would totally watch. Also heard some Stargate theme in there, not mad at it!

@philgray1023

I really hoped he would find himself on the other side just about to step back through. Top quality work. This would have needed an epic budget not that long ago.

@fatalwound

i can tell the suits are a direct inspiration of infinite warfare, love it.

@SIXPACFISH

Minimum story. They didn't continually spue meaningless backstory, which is a refreshing change from most Sci-Fi. Sets were minimal, so not distracting to the eye. CGI wasn't obvious or extra fast and hard to follow. Very well made and reasonably entertaining. Great Job!

@warrenpoultney8215

The tone of annoyance by the droid "I',m still scanning" had me laughing.

@stevensonDonnie

Very interesting visually. It made me want to find out more, to look closer at the technology and at the people. I would like to see more

@timecowx

I quite enjoyed that! While it is not at all uncommon for these shorts to leave a "Give us more!" feeling, this one really did that for me. Of course I want to know just what adventure there was on the other side, but what I really want is an origin story on Mono! (sp?) There is definitely a whole movie's worth of story just leading up to where this started. Great music, well done and very cool design on the characters and environment, and somehow in 6 minutes there are 4 characters a want to know all about. Nicely done!

@frcgfd107

I enjoyed this and I am impressed with your production values, these films look great.
