[Music] Now Sports with Reagan Holgate [Applause] minutes away from the start of the first ever Legend celebrity softball game and when we say Legends we really mean it Reagan we've got we've got an NFL Hall of Famer we've got a Major League Baseball Hall of Famer we got pro bowlers from the past tell us about some of these guys who are going to show us their other their softball skills tonight yeah he's talking about NFL Hall of Famer Mike Singletary obviously with the Chicago Bears he just got
announced in his lineup uh he's leading off for the yellow team and uh there are probably quite a few cheers that you heard around here he was also talking about Andre Dawson former Cubs Hall of Famer um and we also have quite a few Packers out here we got Charles Jordan Gilbert the Grave Digger Brown we've got all of them out here it's gonna be fun yeah I think Gilbert's gonna be a real character out here tonight but that's what this is really all about it's not so much a softball team it's ju
st it's just an event a neat event really for the fans yeah and we were actually told this is not a softball game this is a show these Legends are here to put on a show for all the fans out here lots of Cheers lots of sports fans that are that are out here right now all right well earlier I spoke with one of the legends George Teague one of the former Packers who is here to play softball tonight so I asked him about that Bear Packer rivalry and some other things and what it was like to suit up f
or the Packers let's go to that being a Green Bay Packer was awesome and you mentioned Alabama though but it's like being in a college town with the Green Bay Packer fans you know the Traditions that they have the stadium is always full loud energetic and always supportive so my time with the Green Bay Packers was very very good now in the softball game as far as I know there's one Chicago Bear Mike Singletary he wasn't too shabby and quite a few of you Packers like four or five six maybe of you
guys so how's that going to work out with the Bear Packer rivalry with you guys out there with Mike Singletary well um I happen to know Mike Singletary and I think he knows that you know there's always a rivalry between the two teams and I think the Packers are going to Prevail once again doesn't matter what anybody it's the way it is so yeah I think it is the official count I think is four former Packers who are here and the one Chicago Bear Mike Singletary but Singletary I think one one singl
e Terry can handle a bunch of Packers you would think right yeah yeah yeah and we've actually uh talked to a few of those Packers and they like the Rivalry right and they're and they're excited about it and I think this is going to be a lot of fun we actually too have some of our news crew out here that's going to be a part of these lineups uh they got a few cheers there I heard one for Joy Moreno I think a lot of people are excited to see him out here so yeah just trying to have a lot of fun um
we thought it was going to be almost a sold out crowd these these stands are pre-packed though yeah right it is a really nice turnout for the first one of these events and part of the proceeds go to the local Boys and Girls Club so that's neat hey Cubs were in action today they did a little better today than they did last night yeah you would think yeah uh ten to four again against the Red Sox that was their final score their first win of the second half and uh the White Sox just getting starte
d with the Braves no score there yet in the first inning right now and we have a major golf tournament that is underway Aaron rodford the Aldine cup and folks Robert doffelmeyer running away with it look what he shot today tied the course record shooting a 65-700 part is a huge lead going into tomorrow's final round so we'll keep our eye on that but right now we're ready for softball here so we'll bring you some of the actions some of the highlights with some of the interviews tonight at on wtbo
