Well the title didn’t lie. Scott Pilgrim did take off literally.
The stylisation feels so fun and perfectly captures the "young love" of two awful people coming together to become better.
This show went completely off the rails in ways we did NOT see coming!
They could make a 3 hour movie of these characters just hanging out and I’d watch it
I have no idea why, but that shot of Scott and Ramona falling together is really adorable and just makes me happy.
The intro has more Scott in it than the actual show
It's amazing that the Scott Pilgrim live action cast is brought back to reprise their characters by voice acting.
It’s so interesting that Scott Pilgrim of all stories has been through essentially all forms of media other than just a normal book. It’s an incredible story, but you’d have thought more would’ve done it. Scott Pilgrim is genuinely a really important piece of media, just for how it’s been culturally important from so many iterations.

The way the euphoric chorus hits as Scott and Ramona float through space and the acting credits come up. Damn.
This show is literally like a combination of the game, the movie and the cómics, all in a blender for the fans and at the same time a kind of "what if" its Just so perfect how they did this,literally Just well made scott pilgrim content for the fans but with a little triste but super enjoyable to watch,
1:08 best part of the intro, truly sells that they are both questing for eachother and its not just scott fighting for ramona.

Honestly, the song doesn't fill me with overwhelming hype or anything, just feels really chill. Fills me with joy. Nothing else. Not even massively overwhelming joy. Just joy. Calm, laid back, joy. Can't wait for the 17th!
The character design is awesome, both Scott and Ramona got "lightning" hair shadow that separates them from other characters!
Each one of these adaptations have basically just fit like a uniquely shaped puzzle piece alongside the comic to make an absolutely gorgeous piece of art, I love how each iteration is different and adds a little bit more story where the last adaptation kinda left off
An actual subversion of expectations that amazingly pulled it off imo. Not at all what I was expecting, but wow did I enjoy the hell outta the show!
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off looks very fun and beautiful. The best thing about the show, is that it has the same plot, same cast, same creator and same art style. This is the best intro i ever see since Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I have a feeling that this will be another amazing Scott Pilgrim adaptation.
I really liked the show, i was on the fence at the start since it took a diffrent turn from the story but i was pleasently surprised and apreciated all the love, care and refrences that it showed for the fans. Will watch again.
