in this tutorial I'll show you how to easily create rolling text let's get to it open after effects create a new composition then select the type tool and add text you can adjust the text via the character window and once you do make sure you hold CTRL key on the keyboard then double click on the pan behind tool to move the Anchor Point to the center of the text then open the align tab and then align the text horizontally and vertically so it is at the center of the composition then we're going
to open effects and presets window and search for cc repetile and add it to the text layer then head over to the effect controls panel and increase the expand down to 2,000 or so to expand the text down now we're going to deselect the text by clicking off make sure it's not highlighted then in the tools bar select the rectangle tool make sure it has fill of any color and no stroke then zoom into the center of the composition to this first word that we have and create a rectangle that's slightly
taller than the text then press S on the keyboard to open scale property of this shape layer and checking if I'm scaling then zoom out to see the whole composition and increase the first scale value while holding shift to expand it all the way horizontally then toggle switch the modes until you see the track matte settings open the track matte drop down for the text and select the shape layer 1 that way the text will be visible only inside of the shape layer and in order to create the scrolling
effect we're going to select the text there press P on the keyboard to open position property make sure the time indicator is at the beginning of the timeline create a keyframe for position by clicking on the stopwatch icon then decrease the Y value to move the text down to the point that it's not visible then go to the end of the timeline or however long you want the animation to last and then right click on position select a reset to move the text to its original position then click on positio
n to select both keyframes right click any of them keyframe assistant easy ease or you can press F9 as the shortcut and while the key frames are selected open the graph editor then right click make sure speed graph is selected then we're going to select the second point that's at the end then pull this yellow handle all the way to the left and then this yellow handle slightly to the left as well then exit the graph it time before we preview let's enable motion blur so toggle switch the modes aga
in and check this box to add motion blur to the text and now if we do the preview we should have this nice rolling text animation and in order to change the text it's super easy all you have to do is just just double click on the text layer and then make it say something else and then simply preview again and here we have different text with the same kind of animation so that's it for this one thank you guys for watching
