The Novelion is an enchanted blade stolen by Solemn Sinwinter during her escape from the Hailgardens. It is one of two sister swords that were forged from a rare sea mineral called Migalantine. The ore is so strong, it took one year to soften it, one year to forge it, and one year to cool. The sword is imbued with many curious Saarkan charms and sealed with ancient chants. When placed in still water, the sword’s inscription appears: I was brought forth by hammer and fire, yet I praise the waters. The phrase Novelion translates to “Noble Ends.”
