Guys you might have never heard about this fact at all. Brakes of any automatic car, Wears out early compared to the manual car. Especially while driving in traffic. Let me explain to you guys. Now as I shift to the drive mode, And release the brake pedal, The car will start to move. But when you engage the brakes on the signal, The car will try to crawl ahead, But you are trying to stop the car from moving. I mean you are trying to stop the force applied. And even if you activate the auto hold
feature, The engine will still try to crawl ahead. And that way the brakes are applied, To not let the car move ahead. The only solution to it is, Shift the car to neutral, Or park mode if the signal lasts for a long. It will apply less or no pressure as the car will not move at all, Increasing the brake life. @mixowtlawz007

I was unconsciously putting my automatic car on park mode.

@maverick24in

I always follow this to put it in neutral or Park mode

@anishdoshi700

But brake pads should not wear in this case. Once they hold the wheel steady, no friction will be there to wear them out

@ankurbhugra

Engine Start stop mechanism works well in this case, also DSG/DCT gear boxes are intelligent enough to handle this case to avoid wear n tear

@atharvbhosale1574

This is really dangerous, I have experienced this a bus was crossing us and we were waiting just some distance aside and break went a bit loose . Car moved forward in Verry slow unnoticeable speed and almost touched the side of slow passing bus . Thanks God my dad was sitting aside to me 😢

@viratjain25

I drive an automatic and to counter this effect i always shift to “N” whenever i’m heavy traffic or at a signal. Also, since i was driving manual previously, this small shift every time i take a pause makes me feel more in control 😊

@sagarade3535

Neutral will improve life but when brake is pressed the gear disengages so car is not applying effort until brake is released

@6alviumair

Modern day cars engage themselves in neutral if you keep the brake pedal pressed for a few seconds. You can make this out by the revs too. When you start releasing the brake, the gearbox engages in 1st again.

@samyakjain4969

Mujhe kya mere paas to manual wagon r hai. 😂😂 mujhe bss handbrake kheechna hai..

@fiftyweedman

Thank you rachit..this was really helpful!🙏🏻

@aditya_akash

Not on electric! It completely stops the energy flow on auto hold.

@himanshusinghmar8075

It is just applicable for torque converter gearbox usually used in BMW not happen inVW DSG technology

@sumitron2k

Bhai bmw le k 5 rs ka additional brake ghisne ka tension lega admi to kaise chalenga. Isliye apni apni aukat k hisab se gadi leni chaiye na so that u don’t have to think abt these things. However good info.

@throughheart487

Manuel is the real king

@mememaster7264

Bhai mere pass 4 Wheeler nahi hai... Mere ko kyu bata rahe ho 😑🤣

@shainyanand4382

Manual car best hota hai….har koi manual car nahi chala sakta woh bhi heavy traffic mai😎

@salikashraf07

Amazing content❤

@SubzEye

This is the exact question i wanted to ask you guys for a different reason, but you helped me with my answer. Thank you guys!

@atharvanimbalkar

Waiting for review 🤩🔥😍

@abhishekmandlik008

Engaging brake also engages clutch, so dont think the engine force is damaging the brakes here. @motoroctane you need to check the concept again here.
