it's 48 degrees in December it's 48
degrees in January oh it's January yeah that's even that's even crazier it's 48° in January I take back everything I've ever said about
Korea not being dog friendly I would even say that Korea is more dog friendly than LA that's
a big statement I know LA is supposed to be like the most dog friendly place Gangnam was not
dog friendly and it was the first place we went when we came to Korea and I think it kind
of scarred us a little bit and we got really sc
ared that this was going to be our experience
throughout all of Korea we have gone from the most dog unfriendly place progressively to more dog
friendly places and now we're in Hongdae which might be the most dog friending place in all of
Seoul we've been walking down this park that used to be a railroad track that are converted from
a rail track and every single Cafe allows dogs some even have dog treats available some of the
Korean barbecue restaurants allow dogs too which blows my mind t
here's no Korean barbecue place
in LA where you can bring your dog it's like almond and chocolate it's really yummy this is
the puffiest salt bread that I've seen it's like perfectly round no way all right I've got to try this does it work it doesn't work it's a USB charger no it says
wireless charging is it Samsung only no apple allowed dang it that would have been cool there's
something I need to get used to with cafes in Korea there's probably like 30 people in here and
there's one other
guy besides me so there's like 28 girls and two guys this is most of the cafes in
Korea are like this you probably have like on the low end like 75% girls but it's probably closer
to like 80 or 90% girls where are all the guys very
warm yo what what what what okay okay it says
Ho Eh Market Ho Eh Market it's pronounced Ho Eh Market okay come
on now you're just now you're just trolling but I think you found your
favorite Cafe yeah I like that Cafe cuz we can leave her off yeah and there's
o
ther dogs too and she gets very stimulated I haven't had dinner yet but I actually
just walked by one of those like self- ramen places and I've seen them all over Tik
Tok so kind of want to try it so here's the place I don't know why I'm so
excited it's literally just ramen there's so many types of ramen
I've only had like three different types of ramen so I'm just going to stick
with the basics you got seaweed got spam vegetables veggies hot
peppers tuna I don't know what this is chicken
breast you got instant rice
some protein up here of course you got your beverages I think all of this is free so
the eggs are 300 won each which is super cheap it's like 30 cents the cheese is 30 cents
but everything else so you have eggs spam or ham green onions rice cakes everything
else is free bean sprouts kimchi and yellow radish and you have all these sauces
as well I'm already pretty overwhelmed I don't know how to do this let's try it
out all right Korean skills don't fail me now I
know this I'm going to I'm
going to do this cuz I know this 3700 I'm going to get an egg let's get a piece
of cheese I've never had Ramen with cheese before get a soda only a 1000 for a soda so I got one of these let's get one of these put all the stuff in throw this trash away huh is there recycling oh there's
recycling Ramen bongji so Ramen wrappers I don't know how to do this oh
English instructions put the Ramen soup toppings in the ramen container into order press
the noodle button fo
r the ramen and then press start and then press Start oh there's water okay I got to get the egg ready got to
get the egg ready I have to get Chopsticks ready all right time for the egg let's do this with one hand one hand and then we stir
you got to stir it so it doesn't burn so the egg doesn't burn oh it smells so good all right I think I need both hands to carry this let's get some toppings I should have put the rice cake in there but I didn't want to did I get a
cheese I did buy a cheese
got a cheese remember these toppings are completely free this kimchi actually looks pretty good I'll get more later if I need to and I also got one of these put it on top green onions the cheese
is all nice and melted now let's try it oh that's so good I don't think Ramen will ever not hit the spot kimchi this kimchi is actually really good this place is open 24 hours some of these notes are so sad this one
says "I am here alone late at night I feel a little bit lonely making friends in South
Korea
is challenging but I love it here the ramen is tasty" it was good I know it's just ramen it's
instant Ramen but when you have all the side dishes and everything it really does
feel like Gourmet it's Gourmet Ramen Ramen plus drink all the side dishes I think it
was like $3.50 including the drink it's our first time getting Street tteokbokki Kim had
a craving all of a sudden at 10:30 it's almost 11:00 this broth is really good the
great thing about street tteokbokki is you can always g
et they always
have this fish cake broth and you can just like pour yourself some with a
ladle and it's it's free you know I love free oh so good and you can have as much
as you want they have a lot of fried food too these are the joys of living in Korea

David-thanks~ really amazing vlog!be well,💫
love how they actually put so much effort editing
haha I remember seeing the "hoe market" during my stay in hongdae. I was just as puzzled as you guys were.
Because Fahrenheit is what America uses, so Koreans would misunderstood that 48 degrees would meant to be Celsius, I know about America, been lived for 16 years (2003-19), and I already intuited what you said. I miss those times when I was in America until I graduated in Chicago in 2018.
C'mon Dave. "more dog friendly than LA"? Last I checked, folks weren't eating dog in LA. Yet, the practice continues in South Korea.
