El Gordo Y La Flaca

Ladies and gentlemen, today Univision is celebrating in style. I am with the most successful artist of all time, who, as you know, holds the record for the most albums sold. Additionally, the top Latina female artist with the most streams on Spotify already has 14 Guinness World Records. It's also important to note that her new album, 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran', has remained at the top of pre-sales on all of the different music platforms we know, breaking all records. I would like to welcome my
dear Shakira. It's great and wonderful to see you, girl. Thank you very much. I saw you recently, but we only talked briefly without having any idea of what kind of album was coming. I just listened to it. One song brought tears to my eyes and the others, well, what can I say. I know it has been a masterpiece from you at one of the most important moments of your life as a woman and as a mother. Tell me about the new album. I always heard that men don't cry, but women don't cry anymore. That sen
tence will be Shakira's forever. Well, let's see, it’s been an album that has captured my experiences from the last two years. Intense emotions of all kinds, from anger, to denial, to acceptance, to pain, to celebration. So many things were captured in each of those songs, and I think the lesson that comes out of it is, well, we shouldn’t put ourselves in the victimized role that society often tries to put us in. We have to move forward quickly. So it's okay to complain, but not too much, never
for too long. We need to look forward, and we must, but in order to do that, I think we have to embrace our own vulnerability. We must cry as many tears as we have to cry, and then those tears can be transformed into something, can be transformed into resilience, strength, confidence. Let's talk about tears because on the cover of your album there are tears that eventually turn into diamonds. Diamonds are formed under tremendous pressure. Although they are very resilient, this album has not only
diamonds, but also precious gems. We didn't want to stay with just one edition and I know you have done something wonderful for your audience that has supported you. Shaki, what a way for you to go. So how does it feel, woman? Because really, you've had, I would say, one of the most intense two years you'll ever have in your life, and this audience has given you everything, I mean, everything. As one of your devoted fans, we've all been there, cheering you on in the best way possible. You said
it yourself - my audience was there, every step of the way, in a way I never imagined. You know? I never thought that at such a crucial, vital, incredibly complex moment of my life, my audience would be there, supporting me, holding me up, motivating me to keep going. That's why I think I didn't make this album alone. All these songs were not only my creation, but also the creation of my audience from a different perspective, from a different point of view. It was a constant dialog. Every song
I've put out has had an echo. It wasn't a monologue, it wasn't just me speaking and performing. Instead, my audience has been there, maintaining a constant dialog with me, pushing me forward and filling me with the desire and motivation to keep going I think my audience saved me. Oh absolutely, I'm sure of it because I understand what you felt when we talked about the album. I want people to understand that it's an album with 16, 17 spectacular songs and we already know seven of them. There are
seven hits that came out 'Monotonía', 'TQG', 'Session 53', 'Acróstico', the one I did with my kids. ‘Te felicito’, ‘El jefe’, ‘Copa Vacía’, the one I did with Manuel Turizo and eight new songs. Okay, totally new. They just made me listen to the other songs that I requested, please, and out there I can tell you from now on that what I've heard, I'm telling you, is really incredible how you've managed to reflect so incredibly in the stage that you're in now, because we saw your first stage, and n
ow that this album is coming out, it's a Shakira full of strength, full of confidence, full of passion, full... I mean, there is a little bit of everything in this album. I get excited and I come to celebrate with you because 'Tontería' what can I say. The song 'Entre Paréntesis' with Grupo Frontera, spectacular. I listened to 'Última' obviously, and I started to cry and I had to tell the guy "please take the song away from me". I think women are going to be able to… I won't say more because I k
now they will buy it and they will feel so connected with the original Shakira, the Shakira that happened, what happened and the new Shakira. There's a little bit of everything. It's like a salad with all the ingredients. That's how it’s, eh… I like what you said, the Shakira that, whatever happened, happened. Well, well, the Lili that happened, what happened - here we go friend. And one understands it, and one appreciates it by the way. Well, the truth is, I've leaned on a lot of women who have
gone through similar situations I have a 'pack of wild wolves' who are with me on this journey no matter what decision I make. And I think that women today are in a position where well, nobody has to tell us how to heal, who has to tell us how to heal, how to do it. Nobody, nobody, just ourselves. And each person has her own process, and each woman creates her own path and her own way of living. Life is how she faces the challenges that come her way the obstacles that she encounters. And that's
why I think this album is in a way a symbol of that both from my personal situation and from the experiences of other women. If you had to keep only one song, which one would it be? Difficult, difficult because each one of them represents different stages and it's and album that's conceptual but it's not intentional that it's conceptual. There is a narrative and there are peaks and valleys on this album. But when we talk about it not being conceptual, I imagine you first came out with your diam
ond tears and realized that not everything has to be diamonds, and that's why I want you to talk about a little bit, because there's a Ruby edition, a Sapphire edition, and an Emerald edition. Well, it's the first time I'm releasing digitally and on vinyl. The first time we're releasing both at the same time, and I think it's a wonderful opportunity to offer it to these lifelong fans and to the general public. Well, that music can exist in an object that you can touch, something that can represe
nt the artist. Of course, they'll have this as a collector's item and when you open it, there's a poster you can hang it on your wall. There's also a booklet with lyrics that you can read on paper. About digital age is spectacular. Of course you can do so much and I really appreciate technology and the digital age for the power and immediacy it brings to my music when I get an idea for a song with Manuel Turizo, I can have it recorded and out in a week I don't have to wait two years to complete
an entire project, and that's the way it's been I’ve released seven singles, one after the other, as they've come along and people have shared them. But now I've been able to complete this work and have it pressed on vinyl. People can listen to the sequence, one sequence. There's something very romantic about vinyl, something that maybe has been lost a little bit on digital platforms is that you can listen to music in any order and go from one song to another and from one artist to another and i
t's a little more spread out, but when you have an entire work on vinyl and you can listen to it from beginning to end, I think there's a certain romance to it and I’m very excited about that, being able to offer this to my audience in four different editions: there's the Diamond edition, the Sapphire, the Ruby and the Emerald. Each one represents a different attribute. And they'll be available on different platforms, in different places, so this will be a surprise for everyone and for collecto
rs. So what do your kids say? They've been part of the creative process as well, and I imagine they help you keep going in one way or another. Yes, yes, yes, they are my main motivation. Do they see a vinyl and say, 'Mommy, what's that?' Oh, I already explained that to them, but, I had to explain it to them. Well, they're incredibly supportive. It's like, 'Mommy, work, do what you have to do. We're here for you. They're so, so sensitive and sweet. Oh, I am so lucky. Really, with how loving and
understanding and how supportive they are. It is very important. Yes, it has been. It has been very important to have them as a family. Family support is also very important. And coming from the children, imagine that. And that's why it hurts so much when what happened happened because you come from a beautiful family and when you don't achieve something... But life is a succession of achievements and also of losses and it is part of growing up, it is part of living and that is what I also have
to teach my children. About facing those losses, discussing them, contemplating them. Pain is not just something you feel, you have to think about it and go through it. But to overcome it, you have to think about it and feel it, you have to go through all that, you know? And my music has been my instrument, my vehicle, my... the vessel through which I was able to pour out completely. And now a tour, ladies and gentlemen, the tour we've all been waiting for is finally happening this year. I think
it's going to be the tour, the tour of my life because it's going to be the culmination of everything, the celebration of going through everything that's happened and overcoming it and being able to sing and dance. And to be with your audience. Singing and dancing. It is spectacular. What can you tell us about this tour? Well, I will be singing and dancing a lot, that I will be celebrating a lot with my audience, that I will be visiting countries again that I am really looking forward to visit
ing. You have had many collaborations Shaki, and I don't know if they will accompany you on this tour. For example now... you know what was the most beautiful thing, 'Puntería', that's with Cardi B. She is divine, divine, you don't know... Could you move your butt like she does? Well, everybody moves it the way they can and with what they have. Well, but she's really a professional, she's very sweet. She was very easy to work with. I never thought it would be like that, so it was a very pleasant
experience, very pleasant. And to hear her sing part of the song in Spanish. Her lyrics are also very creative, ingenious and I think that what she contributed to this song is undeniable. Other collaborations like with Rauw Alejandro, I have two songs with him on the album, with Bizarrap I have a second collaboration, with Ozuna, with Manuel Turizo, the one you already know, with Karol G also who is on the album, there are so many, so many colleagues who have also ended up being my friends, is
one of the most beautiful experiences I've had is being able to collaborate. It all starts with a song and ends up in a friendship that continues and lasts over time. And the tour is this year? Yes. Do we have a date? We still can't talk much about the tour. We're going to focus now on the release. In a short time I'll have more information for you, , but for that, we need to sit down again. We sit down again. Congratulations and thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, we wish you all
the best in the world. You know, folks. March 22, the album of your life is released, and we will truly welcome it with all the love in the world.

@puntodecifrante_Vlog
