Show Stopper by Raquel Welch vs Straight Press 18” Belle Tress Butterbeer Blonde #wigreview

Two virtually identical wigs in virtually identical colour! WOW! Let's have a closer look and compare side by side SHOW STOPPER by Raquel Welch in Shaded Biscuit RL19/23SS and STRAIGHT PRESS 18" by Belle Tress in Butterbeer Blonde 19/23R8. Both styles are 18" long with long straight layers and a wispy bang. They come with an amazing temple-to-temple lace front, allowing you to wear the bangs away from your face; 100% hand-tied Monofilament top gives you the most natural-looking scalp and allows you to part the hair on any side you like! Personally my must-have feature! Both styles are heat-friendly up to 180 degrees Celsius / 300 F Low-density beautiful layered cut that looks great on so many face shapes. I will also be discussing some of the challenges you may face with each style so that you can pick the right one for you! Most of all for all of you Shaded Biscuit fans - here is your Belle Tress colour equivalent! Butterber Blonde! Check them out side by side! Ted's Wig Emporium

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my channel. My name is Teresa AKA Ted from Ted's Wig Emporium. In today's video I'll will be doing a review and comparison of two sister wigs  from two completely different brands one from Raquel Welch and  the other from Belle Tress Both wigs are so similar they are virtually  impossible to decipher which one is which They also come in almost exactly the same color They both feature 18 in long layers with a wispy bang they are also made with heat friendly synthet
ic fibers and very similar price point The two styles we'll be looking at are Show Stopper by Raquel Welch in Shaded Biscuit  which is the style I'm wearing here and Belle Tress Straight Press 18" in Butterbeer  Blonde which is this gorgeous style here Let me quickly run through the  measurements for both styles they are very very similar the bangs measuring 5" although Straight Press mentions 3.5 " I  do find they are almost identical they both measure 12" from the crown they both measure 11.5"
from the sides Straight Press is a little  longer at the back measuring 18" whereas Show Stopper varies just a tad  with slightly shorter layers at the back the nape measures 11.5" on Straight  Press and 12" on Show Stopper making it overall 18 in with Show Stopper  just that half an inch longer although both of the wigs weigh 6 oz they seem  to have slightly different hair distribution I'm finding Straight Press 18 slightly more  denser at the bottom as opposed to Show Stopper, which seems to
be a little heavier at the top, so when you come down to the tips Straight Press appears to be a little  bigger here at the shoulders both units come with an impeccable  lace front temple to temple allowing you to wear the style away from your face they also come with a full monofilament top giving you the illusion of a  natural regrowth at the scalp area, which you can part it on either side  the depending on your preference soft wispy bangs are not only super  flattering but they also provide
a good coverage for any transition between the  temple to temple lace and the rest of the cap I love wearing my rooted pieces  as they perfectly blend with my very short bio hair which you can probably  see here at the temples and around my ears because both styles are layered  they give you a very natural looking density as you can see here  when gathered all in the pony tail both of the wigs are made with heat friendly  synthetic fibers which of course gives you that total flexibility when it
comes to styling it is almost like a human hair wig you can add curls or you can straighten  it depending on your mood Now one of the biggest differences I've noticed  between those two styles is how the fibers feel now let's talk about the synthetic  fibers on Show Stopper by Raquel Welch those are true to life heat  friendly synthetic fibers they are super super fine in denier  guys and that may be an issue when it comes to the longevity of the fibers I have been wearing my Show Stopper for ab
out a month and a half every single  day and one of the things I have noticed is that it tangles really really easy and does  become quite ratty and quite frizzy at the end so you will definitely need to use heat more  frequently when compared to the Straight Press 18" fibers are so so baby fine  they are very very delicate definitely when using your  straightness or when using your hot comb you will need to use water at least also you need to use de-tangling spray and the heat protectant to mak
e sure  those fibers are protected from heat now in contrast guys Belle Tresses  fibers in my opinion are the best heat friendly fibers when it comes to longevity they definitely feel much more stronger, they they don't tend to stretch  as easy as Raquel Welch's fibers that means they are much more  resilient to damage, they frizz less, if you are planning to wear a wig every single day maybe for work five days a week  those fibers will last the longest now guys one of the challenges that  you w
ill find when it comes to slightly thicker synthetic fibers is that there  are naturally a little bit more stiff and slightly harder to style including  adding waves or even changing the part when I first got this wig on my  head she was parted more to the left and naturally I wanted to change  it onto my preferred right hand side and I did find that those knots were a  little stubborn when it comes to parting so in the end I had to use my  hot comb right at the base of those knots to be able to
redirect them which afterwards it was absolutely fine so when you first get her out of the box you  might not like the way that those bangs look they will require just a little bit more  styling and effort to make it look just right now let's talk about one of the things that  I feel Straight Press 18" is slightly lagging behind compared with the Show Stopper by rRaquel  Welch and that is the monofilament top guys I feel like it is slightly more  superior compared with Belle Tress wig the amoun
t of fibers added to that  monofilament top are slightly higher in density The parting is not as wide and is evenly  spread across that whole section and so when you part it on either side you are  going to get the same sort of effect showing the same amount of scalp so let me demonstrate the problem  with the monofilament top here guys The parting is much wider and you can even see that little line here where the  lace front meets the monofilament so if you are really conscious about this  this
might become a little bit of a problem the best thing you can do guys is make sure that  those fibers are not completely flat on the top so you have to use a little bit of your  fingers and just rough it up a little bit, so it's not so tight on the scalp now let's talk about the size of the cap guys they are both an average size cap construction, but I do find like the Straight Press  18" does fit my head a little bit better it's not as deep in the back  compared with the Showstopper I also fin
d that the ear tabs on  Belle Tresses style are not as long, so if you do wear glasses they won't  interfere so much with the frames it is also much easier to tack it behind  your ear than the Showstopper by Raquel Welch One of the great things about both of the Styles  guys is that they don't have any permatease at all some of you might like permatease - mainly  to add volume and create a different shape, but for those of us who don't really like  the feeling of that pillowy straggy ends both o
f those are really nice  and sleek and close to your head So let's have a look at the  cap construction side by side both Styles come with this beautiful  temple to temple lace front full monofilament to, open wefting  and velvet covered ear tabs with the metal stays they both have an extended  nape, but Belle Tress's one is slightly shorter and come with pull adjusters  instead of the velcro type adjusters. They both have a lot of stretch in a cap  although I find the Raquel Welch cap a little
bit more stretchy than the Belle Tresses now let me quickly talk to  you about the type of this cap this is a Memory cap two by Raquel  Welch and that means that it has those little strips of silicon embedded in  the vertical lines that connect the Welfts now the purpose for the Silicon is that  it's supposed to mould to the shape of your head giving you that very custom fit now if your head is smaller than my petite average size head they might not necessarily grab  your head in the right way a
nd also if you trying to size this cap down it is a little bit more  difficult to cut those sections and stitch them together after you remove any Wefts so that's something to bear in mind okay guys so next let's have a look at the color side by side in front of a window in  more of a natural lighting conditions Butterbeer blonde code 19/23 R8  next to Shaded Biscuit RL 19/2 23 SS they can both be described as a blend of sandy  blonde, ash blonde and a light blonde Butterbeer Blonde however has
slightly warmer root and it's  actually a little longer than shaded biscuit it is also quite common to see  more highlights brought to the front of the style on the Raquel Welch  pieces to brighten and lighten your face Both shades are super natural looking they  would suit quite a lot of different skin tones and although sometimes you can find  the color will vary from piece to piece I would place them in a neutral leaning  slightly towards cool on the color palette so guys I hope I've covered
all of  the points that were relevant to your decision making let me know which one  you like the most or maybe both of them thank you so much for watching and as always see  you in my next video have a great night bye-bye

I really love your reviews. You go in to more detail about the fibres than most other reviewers and I appreciate that immensely.
