[Music] hey guys welcome back to my channel
my name is Alison and I love reacting to videos on this channel and today I'm going to add
a new artist into the mix I'm really excited because this is an Indian singer his name
is Sonu Nigam or Nigam I'm sorry please correct me my pronunciation
I'm Australian we're gonna butcher it I'm gonna try my hardest but we're inevitably
gonna probably butcher it um as the English language typically does but I'm really excited
about this because I actually spent
a few months in India a few years back in 2017 I
was over in India working and it was it was incredible it was it was one of the best experiences
I've ever had in my entire life I wanted to stay so it's it's it's nostalgic um I guess
in a way for me listening to music and hearing it again but I can't say I knew any of the
artists I I was very lucky to meet some pretty um some pretty cool celebrities over there
um but but I can't say I remember any of the music there was just a lot of a lot of E
d
Sheeran and Justin Bieber and stuff like that that was getting played at the nightclubs
when I was out so I I have to say I'm excited to actually delve into it today and and I
I can't I can't pronounce the name of the song um maybe I'll give it a shot at the end
of the video but I I don't think I'm gonna be able to pronounce that very easily so without
further Ado let's get into it I'm really excited [Music] oh it's so pretty [Music] [Music] [Music] oh my goodness [Music] foreign [Music] okay
there's no subtitles so we're
going in a little bit a little bit blind here but even still as we've established emotions
the way that you can portray emotion through song I'm not sure I really need the lyrics
but please if you've got them drop them below but incredible already oh my goodness [Music] foreign I'm sure there's something very serious being
said here um so please if you if you've got a translation drop it below um but already
the atmosphere that he's sort of built look unfortunately
I I don't know any any Hindi
uh so I'm going to be only able to pick up English words here and there but already his
the atmosphere that he's created the scene that he's set it oh it's I don't have words it's beautiful really this is my tribute to [Music] be to somebody
at the age [Music] foreign [Music] shall keep I have to say like the way that
he moves his voice it's like I can feel these rays of sun against my skin mixing with these
cool breezes against my skin I know that I know that's hard
to explain or hard to understand
but just the the warmth the texture and the Timbre of his voice the way that he's moving
it it's like warmth of of sun and and Cool Breeze I don't know that's that's that's kind
of how it my body feels listening to the music it's doing the same thing to my body [Music]
again [Music] oh beautiful [Music] a peace [Music] [Music] before you even know it the music
has sped up and I I know we hear it but it just it it just carries you it carries you
to a different sc
enery to different places it's just so I just I just love music I just
I love I love the way that music can can do this I'm feeling chills and but I'm feeling
the warmth of his voice and then every instrument coming in there is just oh beautiful it's
my my vocab isn't broad enough to express just the things the the the the sensory the
feelings the the experience [Music] [Music] in the head [Music] [Music] is [Music] I'm sorry for pausing his voice is
like an instrument in itself you know it does
n't need the accompaniment at all it doesn't it
it's because it's like a beautiful it's like it's it's it it's actually just so much like
an instrument that with the music it also works perfectly the the harmonies I just I
mean we know I sound so dumb today I'm sorry I'm still foggy I know the voice is an instrument
we all know the voice is an instrument but there's just different textures and the way
that he's the texture that he's got on it it's reminds me of just a beautiful woodwind
instrume
nt like the way that the air is carrying through I don't know I am gonna stop talking
and just press play foreign [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] he's appreciating the the musicians I have
my eyes closed there so I'll just jump back a little bit but I I opened and I saw him
sort of acknowledging how perfect the piano is and how how beautiful the rest of the instruments
are and that I love that humility I love that sort of humbleness in in an artist [Music]
oh yes thanks [Music] [Music]
foreign [Music] incredible the control that he has over his
voice incredible the control that he has to be able to do all of these run like things
with his voice it's just it's perfect he's nailing every single one it's it's so beautiful
and I really want to say like the the music I'm still getting that warmth of the sunrise
you know and that Cool Breeze coming in but now that the music's sort of picking up a
little bit it's it's just wild in my mind I'm like okay the sun's sitting and I'm gett
ing
like the piano is droplets of moonlight coming in I know that's ridiculous but that's just
it's the picture it Paints in my mind it's it's so lovely there's something it's so whole
the song [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] foreign you're not going to finish until I hear that
again I'm afraid [Music] [Applause] [Music] Goosebumps again [Music] um thank you very much oh my goodness that was beautiful that was it was beautiful I I have been without words
I don't know how to de
scribe I've tried um it's just Warm Rays of sun is what his voice
sounds like what it feels like on my skin to me you know that's that's the picture it
Paints in my mind it's just beautiful Warm Rays of sun what a gorgeous texture to his
voice what a gorgeous Timbre to his voice I'm gonna have to listen to another song soon
so please if you've got any recommendations another of sanus or any other Indian Hindi
artists please drop them below anybody else you'd like me to hear please drop it below
and please like And subscribe if you haven't already and thank you to everyone who already
has I'm smiling my face is hurting it was just um it was just so lovely like I I obviously
I don't know what the lyrics are so please drop them below but it that song took me on
a journey from being really quite um emotional and and almost heavy and a little bit Eerie
at the start there to having this incredible warmth and the beat through it and like this
positivity almost that comes out in the end so I'd
be really interested to know what the
lyrics are and I guess I'll see you guys on the flip side okay bye [Music] [Applause]

You described the song very well. In fact no one has the proper vocabulary to describe the greatness of the Legendary Padma Shri Sonu Nigam Ji 🙏❤.
Lyrics for the lonely Traveler:- Still, somewhere inside me, there is a little life remaining.. A new heartbeat came up, I got to know that I am still alive.. Some such tenacity is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while.. Still somewhere inside me, there is a little life remaining.. (as if) the body burning down in the sun got the shade of a tree, like the smile of an angry kid came back on a little cajoling.. something like that is what my heart is feeling now, on the years old wounds, there is some balm applied some such mercy is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while.. like a kite with broken string was this life of mine, today I'm there, whether tomorrow takes place (for me) or not (is not known), was my story everyday.. (he was unsure of how long he'd live) now a new bond calls me from behind, why does a worry for tomorrow trouble me, such a prickle is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while..
4:16 - He was saying that one of his very closest friends passed away at the age of 42. His name was Shri Ajay Ji 🙏. So Sonu Sir was giving a small tribute to him by singing his written song at the start of the video
We love Australian people They are so open minded and friendly ❤❤
Sonu Nigam is one of greatest singers India has ever produced... Once in a Generational talent.... There are Singers and then there is Sonu Nigam....
You described his voice perfectly. Even without any accompaniments, his voice itself is music which takes you places He defined an entire generation of music in India
Sonu Nigam is one of the finest vocalists to ever come out of India. He's an absolute legend having sung over 2500 songs in his illustrious career. He's famously known as the Lord Of Chords due to his incredible vocal precision and agility. He has an outstanding vocal range. He started his career in the 90s through pop music mainly known as Indi-pop or Indian pop. You described the essence of the song really well. I'd highly recommend you another Indian artist called Shaan who's Sonu Nigam's contemporary and who also came through Indi-pop in the 90s. Both Sonu and Shaan are legends and very good friends. Check out Shaan's Woh Pehli Baar song live in The Jammin' sessions and see his incredible vocal agility. Shaan has got one of the smoothest and silkiest voices you'll ever listen
best reaction on lord of chords Sonu Nigam 🙇♂️ so far, just straight from the heart ❤.
He is also in top 10 in most popular Asian Artist..
My all time favorite singer❤
i liked the reaction. What i like the most and its peculiar about you is that you did not feel ashamed or small to express what you felt hearing this, without any slightness worries of whether it'll be well seen or not. you expressed your state of mind and emotions and it's great to see an exact unmodified reaction. please stay you it's so rare.
He's the best that we Indians have got
He is a living legend here in India
Sonu Nigam is one of the best artist in the world, for sure
Lord of chords ❤❤❤❤
Please listen to some of his underrated songs. 1. Sau Dard, 2. Aa Pukare Tujhe, 3. Deewana Tera, 4. Tumhi Dekho Na, 5. Dard (Sarbjit Movie), 6. Do Pal Ruka, 7. Soona Soona, etc.
indian musical culture is much singer centric where western musical culture is a complete package of singer along with his instrumentalists! that's why whenever GnR comes to our mind we also recognize slash's solo interludes! in indian music nobody knows who played the extraordinary piece of music with the singer but people checks how the singer performed. that's why indian singers are working pretty hard to keep their versatility intact!
100% geniune reaction👍
Hi Alison- Indian songs are poetry heavy…this song is about person re-discovering his purpose in life after finding out that he is not alone but has a young sister… amazing lyrics! Cool Reaction btw 🙏🏻
