Sony could probably be working on more PS2 classic ports according to a new interview from Time Extension with Robin Lavallée from Implicit Conversion the company responsible for the current PS Plus classic ports. In the interview, Time Extension mentioned that the company was working with Sony Interactive to bring more PS2 games to PS5, a line they later revised and claimed was a mistake. Despite that, users on Reddit have started digging up the Implicit Conversion website and Linked In pages w
here they found the company is working on bringing games from the original PS1, PSP, and PS2 to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and Xbox. Some of their clients include Disney Interactive, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, Konami, Capcom, Team 17, and Bend Studio. Implicit Conversion was formed by Lavallée who previously worked at Ubisoft, and co-founder Jake Stine who worked on the PCSX2 emulator and later with Sony on the previous batch of PS2 games that arrived on PS4. They created an engine called Syrup which
allows developers to create an interface between retro games and modern consoles. Right now this is just speculation but maybe they spilled the beans too early on the article regarding the PS2 games, or maybe it was indeed just a mistake, we'll have to wait and see. Which PS2 games would you like to see joining PS Plus? Sound off in the comments below. Welcome to Hyped for Games, here are more Gaming news that you need to know! We have a follow-up on the news about former PlayStation boss Shawn
Layden where he talked about the importance of exclusives on the What's Up PlayStation podcast. Layden also reinforced previous comments he had made about subscription services and their place in the industry regarding triple-A games, and how the model cannot support them. "I think subscriptions are interesting for people to experience gaming. But for me that's the world of AA games or single A games." "If you are getting into AAA, if you are getting into double/triple digit millions of dollars
, you can't make it back on a subscription service. There is not enough nickels in that box to ladder up to $200 million." The platform itself, whether its Game Pass or for that matter PS Plus, the platform can make money, it can sustain itself... I'm talking about the developer who made the game, who put it out there" The discussion of subscription services is a long one and we have seen developers in favor particularly indie ones which subscription services help with discoverability But some o
thers like Larian Studios recently spoke against saying their games will never be on a subscription as they think the traditional model of purchasing games is how you really help a developer. What do you think about subscription services? Voice your opinion in the comments. Now let's talk about the next PlayStation game that will be launching on PC after Ghost of Tsushima in May, and it's none other than The Last of Us Part II which came out in January for PS5. The source is user Silknight who p
reviously talked about the Ghost of Tsushima PC port before it was announced, and is striking again with this new rumor. According to them, The Last of Us Part II for PC will be announced next month with no exact release date yet but it will be a longer period than the usual announcement-to-release for recent Sony first-party games. It is just a matter of time, since they remastered both games and with the first on PC the second was going to follow, let's hope Naughty Dog doesn't run into the sa
me issues as the previous port made by Iron Galaxy. After that, they said they'd make them in-house but they also have Nixxes who have made solid ports if they need support. Would you jump to The Last of Us Part II on PC for the first time or double dip? Let us know in the comments. Next, there are more details for Stellar Blade that came out from an interview by Julien Chieze with game director Hyung-tae Kim and technical director Dong-Gi Lee. Given that Shift Up was a mobile game developer the
scope for Stellar Blade was originally more restricted but it expanded as the team grew over time. PlayStation helped a lot with that change once they signed an exclusivity deal in 2021 right after Sony's Shuhei Yoshida visited the studio to learn about Project Eve. Sony also helped with giving input on gameplay and how to improve it, besides taking responsibility for localization, QA, and communication so that the developer would focus only on the game. The final version of Stellar Blade will
have a length of 25 hours with a total of around 20 boss fights varying between humanoid enemies and colossal creatures when it launches this April 26. What's your hyped level for the game a little over a month from launch? Share with us in the comments. Moving on, speculation on Microsoft's next move after publishing more games on other platforms is still rampant and now two former key figures for the brand have spoken on tentpole Xbox games appearing on PS5. First up is former Xbox boss Peter
Moore who spoke about Halo possibly being on other platforms in an interview with IGN, where he said that he doesn't know whether it'll happen but speculates that those conversations are happening. Similar to that, Gears creator Cliff Bleszinki asked to tear the wall down in another interview with GameRant adding that Microsoft like Netflix has realized that the Xbox Game Pass strategy requires to be on more platforms. He also gave the blessing for the series to be on PlayStation, "People have b
een joking about Gears of War coming to PlayStation for well over like a decade and, you know, I think the more, the merrier" Gears of War was secured by Microsoft as an exclusive during the 360 era but Epic worked on a PS3 port for the third game, even if it was only for Unreal Engine testing. Despite Microsoft saying that only 4 games will be published on PS5 speculation has not stopped and with Sea of Thieves topping PS5 Pre-Orders the company may push its every-screen-is-an-Xbox strategy eve
n further. And Sony is very willing to help as we have learned from Rare's producer Joe Neate in an interview with The Guardian. "This is the first time in Rare's 40-year history that we're developing on a Sony platform, which is incredible." "It was quite surreal for us, getting on a call and being presented with a set of slides about a platform that we never thought we could get an opportunity to go ship on." "But honestly, for our tech team, it was like: 'Let's just get kits and start experim
enting and figuring this out'."* "We had them hidden in a secret part of the studio with frosted windows and no one could peek in. It was excitement as anything else" Quite the contrast from what Sony said in the Activision case that they'd not be willing to share information with Microsoft. Do you believe Microsoft will go all in and publish big franchises such as Halo or Gears for PS5? Voice your opinion in the comments. There's a new leak on an upcoming Ubisoft game, the next generation for t
he Ghost Recon series which according to website Insider Gaming will be called Project Over. They got to talk with sources inside the project under anonymity and indicate the game is expected to be released around 2025 or 2026 going back to its roots as a first-person perspective series. It will be centered around the Naiman War, set in southeast countries where thousands of people have died as a result of war crimes, and you and your team of Ghosts infiltrating the area to locate a traitor. It
will also go for squad-based military tactical gameplay taking inspiration from Modern Warfare and Battlefiield. They appear to be drawing the most from the Activision series as it's said there could be controversial missions with one example being your squad almost shooting a man holding a baby. 'Insider Gaming' was also provided footage that they can't show but they say it has a significant jump in graphics from the Wildlands and Breakpoint entries. The publication recently provided some leaks
for Assassin's Creed Red and it's a very trusted source so we could see this revealed in the future. Have you played previous Ghost Recon games? Looking forward to the next one? Sound off in the comments below After being teased several times by McDonald's Happy Meal toys in several countries, Multiversus is finally coming back to all consoles including PS4 and PS5. The game had an extensive run from July to November 2022 later revealed to be an open beta, after which it was taken offline to im
prove it based on all the feedback. Player First Games announced via a developer update video that the game will officially launch this May 28th moving to a new engine with Unreal Engine 5 providing better character models and stages, plus it will have a new rollback netcode and PvE mode. Did you play Multiversus back during the beta? Are you looking forward to its return? Let us know in the comments. And those are the PlayStation stories for today. Thank you for watching! Sony has an amazing library in the PS2 era that they don't tap into, here's hoping the latest rumors become true. Which games would you like them to port to PS5? Also special appearance in the thumbnail: my PS2 collection! 😄

There is a high probability that "classic titles" from Rockstar Games will return to the present through the PlayStation Plus Premium service to increase its video game catalog for this year 2024. Among the video games that are most being considered for future conversions are: - The Warriors - Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories - Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - Red Dead Revolver - Bully: Anniversary Edition Sony is aiming strong this year with a list of highly prestigious titles from Ps1, Ps2 and Psp reaching current generation platforms.  From Sony they highlight that at the end of this year "we will have more games available, all included with each subscription to the premium service."  In addition, they point out that they are considering bringing more Ps1, Ps2 and Psp games to an impact figure for a catalog that is beginning to show a lot of interest from players. This will not only enrich the game library, but will also give users the opportunity to Relive timeless classics and discover new gaming experiences.
