As a little kid when I first got Minecraft, I would play on peaceful mode so that zombies wouldn’t jumpscare me from the front, this is from around 1.12-1.14

Scariest Minecraft experience happened a week ago on a server I play on with friends. Sam (mentioned in the short) and I went caving cause I'm broke and need diamonds. THERE WERE NO MOBS. We didn't notice until 15 minutes in, but in the pitch-black caves, nothing was spawning and there were no creepy cave noises, just happy music. We were playing around 12am so I was already jumpy, but it was the most unsettling game experience I have ever had. Come to find out our friend and server owner messaged us apologizing that she turned off mob spawning and forgot to turn it back on. The whole time mining we cheered every time we found a zombie spawner room because we were losing our sanity lol.
