ight in Tampa against the Buccaneers in a second straight road game in New Orleans last last night against the Saints because all three of the losses so far this year for the flock they held at least a double-digit lead at some point in that football game which was the case of course last night but Baltimore closing the door on New Orleans and one of the biggest differences last night is that Andy Dalton is the quarterback for New Orleans and Lamar Jackson is the quarterback for Baltimore Lamar

t all good things must come to an end the Hawks get the victory 117-98 Justin over Milwaukee last night what stood out to you about Milwaukee's first loss of this season well you know it was one of those things you're like when is the street going to end and we saw this Hawks team in Atlanta was one of those situations where Trey young was out so we're like ah maybe this isn't going to be the game and sure enough it was and the bucks came out hot too this is a game where they were up by double d
igits early on and his Hawks team just really came back and it shows the depth of this Hawks team and that they're gonna be a scary out here in the Eastern Conference so this doesn't really concern me so much with the the Bucks as it does just kind of give a testament to what the Hawks are able to do and what they're going to be able to do this season with nearly out of Peace dejante Murray who had an incredible game with Trey young out and then also a rookie AJ Griffin stepped up in a major way
as well uh to help the Hawks get this win there in the second half dejante Murray almost a walking triple double at times 25 points 11 dimes and eight boards yesterday for Atlanta Giannis also finished with 25 points but under his points prop of 31 and a half that is always the expectation though Justin for you honest intend to kumpo and what he can do out on the basketball floor because of that in this opening stretch of the season for Milwaukee Giannis has moved to the NBA MVP favorite in fro
nt of Luca doncic who is also on a tear to start this season and Luca was the preseason favorite to win the MVP so when you look at this right now Justin do you agree with the move do you agree making Giannis the favorite to win the MVP at the moment I do at the moment because this this Bucks team is going to challenge for seven they're gonna be around 70 wins and so this team is going to win a lot of games and when you have that happen chances are when you have somebody playing at the level tha
t Giannis is playing scoring 30 a game you got to put him at the top of the MVP race so to me it is a fair move but Luca is there and we see him putting up 36 8-8 here early on in the season his scoring is going to be high and he's gonna have to score a lot of points do everything for this Mavs team uh in order to see them win games so I could see Luca and Jana's challenge in all season I do think Giannis is the person I'd rather have over Luca right now and Luka doncic right around those averag
es last night in a home Victory against the Brooklyn Nets Dallas booked as a six-point favorite they do not cover but Luca 36 points six assists and six rebounds as well something strange happened last night Kevin Durant who had made 62 straight free throws steps to the line with an opportunity to tie the basketball game because he has three easy ones from the charity stripe and he misses the second one the Nets go down by two on the road in Dallas 96-94 the final Justin what was your takeaway f
rom last night's matchup in Dallas between the Mavs and the Nets yeah this we don't see Kevin Durant ever Miss free throws like that let alone deep threes like that so to me to see him miss a free throw like that it shows this Nets team just isn't in sync with everything going on you can talk about the coaching change you can talk about Ben Simmons there's a whole bunch of components with this Nets team and they just got to get the ship right in Ben Simmons was back on the floor looked okay yest

lyn the last two years they were the NBA Championship favorites in the Eastern Conference favorites entering last year they didn't get out of that opening round of the postseason swept by the Celtics and that will be the case for Brooklyn it seems this year at least in the early going the third best price to win the East they're moving back on that board but let's go to one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference the team that won the East last year appearing in that NBA finals against the
Golden State Warriors the Boston Celtics on the road last night in Memphis against the Grizzlies what a wonderful line it was depending on which way you bet this basketball game the Seas were a two and a half Point Road favorite against the Grizz they win the game by three 109 106 outstanding performances from both Jason Tatum and John Morant on both sides of this game last night and both teams right now Justin off to a good start the C's 7-3 straight up this year Memphis seven and four straigh
t up in the early going of this NBA season how do you evaluate both Boston and Memphis the rest of the way well we know what this Grizzlies team and even with the loss here in the Western Conference which is kind of turned upside down right now we see a lot of teams we weren't expecting at the top of the Western Conference but the Grizzlies are going to be there they're a tough greedy team defensive team and they're they're you know one of the experienced teams in the Western Conference as well
so when we look at John Moran just the supporting pieces we know they're going to come around towards the end of the season and they're going to be there the same can be said for the Celtics though but going into Memphis and getting a tough win you'd love to see that out of one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference to win the the conference um and this this Celtics team which did have a little bit of obviously some off-season stuff going on has stuck to the script and continue to play at a
high level they're going to challenge the Bucks there for the Eastern Conference in my opinion yeah when you look at the Eastern Conference odds right now the Celtics for most of the summer were the favorites not only in the East but to win the NBA title now the Bucks are the favorites after of course the wonderful start to this season so Justin as you look at the Eastern Conference who's the best team on this side of the league right now I think he got to go with the Bucks what we've seen out o
f Brooke Lopez as well and a lot of this has been done without Chris Middleton for the bucks this team is just it's it's one of those deep teams that we know is going to be there it looks like Giannis is coming out with something to prove so we talked about the Nets earlier they're I don't know how they still have the odds they do they're nowhere in sight in my opinion when you talk about teams that are a little bit deeper down there we've seen the Cleveland Cavaliers really start to emerge this
season and playing well off a tough loss to the Clippers last night but we could see the Cavs to me that's one of the more value plays down there sitting at plus 1000 uh to me if it wasn't the bucks if I wasn't gonna go with the super Shockey play and take the Bucks the Cavaliers have been playing at an elite level this year and I can see them at least in the regular season having a really good record especially with the way that Charis Levert and Donovan Mitchell have been playing Evan Mobley

op team at least entering the evening out in the Western Conference Justin but Chris Paul leaves the game early JoJo goes off for 33 points and 10 boards both of these teams right now what stood out to you most yeah I was expecting you know a pretty competitive game Joelle embiid back for the Sixers obviously the Sixers have just lost James Harden now but I was expecting a really competitive game so when Chris Paul went out uh the sale kind of set there but uh both of these teams are going to be
in the mix for their respective conferences and it's good for the 76ers to get back a weapon like Joel embiid he needs to get fully healthy in order for this team to be the contender that we all thought they could uh because with the development of Tyrese Maxi and uh Tobias Harris kind of taking on a bigger role now with James Harden now is going to be the biggest factor for this uh 76ers team if they do want to be a competitor in the Eastern Conference there the sons of the Suns I think we've
seen we know what to expect from them and it just depends on the health right now of Chris Paul and how how fast he can get back on the court it has surprised me a little bit because we know who the sons are they want a franchise record 64 games last year with a top seed in the Western Conference yes it didn't go their way in the playoffs but they had the third best price entering this year substantially behind both the Clippers and the Warriors now that Gap not nearly as wide both the clips and

ng a lot of talent or a lot of play out of Laurie marcaking in seeing some of these other guys these Castaways and Talon Horton Tucker uh Colin Sexton just these guys were playing at an incredible Level Playing winning basketball and it does help when you go against a Lakers team without LeBron James that really hasn't shown any type of momentum that they're going to win any significant amount of games so when I look at the Lakers side of the ball it's it's ugly I don't even like talking about t
he Los Angeles Lakers right now it is an ugly thing to watch and something has to change for this Lakers team otherwise they're going to be gifting the New Orleans Pelicans the first pick in the draft in Victory Manama when you look right now at the Lakers they are two and eight to start off this year Utah was a seven point favorite at home last night of course LeBron did not play so maybe that's why the line was as substantial as it was but the Jazz easily covers so Justin when you look at this
La team overall what's the biggest concern in your mind for the Lakers moving forward I think there's a lot of concerns with this Lakers team we could talk about shooting you could talk about the defensive lows you can talk about the chemistry I mean we can go on and on about the problems for this Lakers team and it's evident as last night I mean this total was way over and a lot of that had to do with the defensive struggles giving up 40 points in the first quarter to the Jazz you can't if you
can't slow any teams down you're not going to win basketball games and if you can't shoot the basketball there's no way you can come back or expect to hold lead so to me there's a lot of problems we can talk about Russell Westbrook moving to the bench and in my opinion it's been a better move for this team and we've seen a little bit more chemistry but there has to be something go something going on in something that has to be done whether it's Anthony Davis being moved we've seen the wild rumo
