I admire that the newspaper had the courage to stand up to the awesome might of the Catholic Church, and admire the courage of the people who made this movie.

@josiahcaterino4788

Best line of the movie: "If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to abuse one"

@MrLMxD

"It could've been you, it could've been me it could've been any of us". The horrible true...

@miliejones3900

Mark Ruffalo deserved that Oscar just for having that hair cut for 6 months

@Lyriicistique

I loved this movie. brought me to tears. This is the type of journalism I really admire.

@katehu7194

Forget oscars and awards. This STORY, simply by itself, is a breakthrough investigation story. It shocked the world. That's more than a single gold statue could ever do. Forget the superheroes, these journalists have the makings of true heroes.

@Jiovi92

That's one hell of a cast.

This movie is so personal and is a story worth telling. At my own church (although I no longer am actually a part of it), a priest I knew my whole childhood was accused of sexually abusing children a few years ago. Everyone who went to the church defended him and even started a go-fund me to support his legal defense. The chichi tried to silence it, the people were unwilling to accept the truth, and the victims suffered even after coming forward. These things still happen and will keep happening unless good people use their voices and power to speak out and help. Children everyday are taken advantage of by those who have power in there life and they dont know how to say no, they can't. Movies like this are important, but actions taken after the knowledge obtained from watching it is more important

I didn't cry until the very end of the movie. When they just listed all the places this kind of thing has happened. Just list after list, I broke down. In Boston alone there were 249 people convicted... imagine how many of these freaks there are in the whole country, the whole world.

@kevinnegron1072

Literally the first movie where the audience couldn't move from their seats when the credits rolled. Paralyzing source material. Sobering.

@dilldshs

I was doing my job. Yeah, you and everyone else. Powerful Movie. Deserved the Oscar.

@fifabublz17

I remember I was on a Delta flight, during a time when you still had to pay for movies. This one was free. This movie was never for profit, the producers genuinely wanted to share something so important. If anyone reading this was abused by a church employee - you are valid, you are important, and you MATTER. And i am so sorry that you went through this because it could have been any of us.

@magnusbane5437

FBI, CIA, Homeland, NSA, Secret Service: we know how to keep secrets from the public The Catholic Church: that's cute

@fearlesssfcappuccino

This movie could have been done wrong in many ways; having worked in an area trying to get justice for survivors of this kind of thing, I was thrilled beyond belief to see that this movie got it *so right*. Just, everything.... truly an incredible movie. I was so happy when it won Best Picture. Everyone should see this

@brennand933

This movie is incredible. The end scene when all the phones started ringing brought me to tears.

@sneha2717

This movie is one of the few examples of journalism done right

@shadmanbishal1333

Rewatched it multiple times. It's a movie defining realism, morality, hope, judgement. It's still in my top 5 most favorite movies. This movie gives me an encouragement towards productivity and boosts my thoughts towards positivity in so many ways.

@BBReviewsRIn

Saw the film twice. Even better the second time. Every scene tops the one before it. Incredibly gripping, riveting and absorbing from beginning to end. Hope it wins Best Picture!

@mikayla5141

One of those rare movies every person needs to see multiple times in their lives to truly grasp how insane and horrible it is
